Just like a road tractor, these engines can be rebuilt if needed. Unlike the Cummins or Cat which must be thrown away and replaced. I have personally owned vehicles with this engine that had over 700,000 miles on them and still running strong. This truck only has 128,093 well cared for miles! The low mileage power plant in this forestry truck runs absolutely perfectly and should give you many more years of service. It is backed by an Eaton-Fuller 6 spd transmission which shifts perfectly. 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT #5122 out of 5582 that were built. There were 723 True Blue Bullitt’s built total which is the lowest production number out of the three colors. This Bullitt has the only available option which is the Mach 460 Sound System. I am the original owner and this car has never been driven or even exposed to rain. The car is listed in the High and Dry registry on the IMBOC Bullitt Club website. This car has been stored in a climate control garage since new. The only part replaced on the car is the battery and the original one is included in this sale. The car pictured has a new set of tires and wheels with Nitto 245/45-17 Front and 315/35-17 rear. These tires have less then 1000 miles on them and the original tires have approximately 6500 miles on them and are included in this sale. The car cover pictured and car show sign is also included in the sale. Please note the engine compartment shots showing that the paint has not even worn off the pulleys as well as the lack of rust on the bolt head that you would normally see on a car of this age. This shows that the car was properly cared for and stored properly. The car was driven approximately 5000 the first year and has been driven about 250 miles every year to keep it up. The oil has been changed every year even though it only has a couple of hundred miles on it. Antifreeze has been changed every three years. I have only used premium fuel and pumped it out every 6 to 8 months to keep everything fresh. All of the original paperwork including original bill of sale, title, owner’s manual, window sticker, two sets of factory keys, etc are included. This car still smells new when you open the door. This car has been in storage for the past 22 years and I had recently acquired it from the owner. I brought it home with the intentions of getting it looking and running new again but my wife convinced me I don't have the time for it. The engine looks great, but the carburetor floods the engine with too much fuel. It will start but the carburetors will flood quickly and need to be drained for it to start again. Other than very minor spots of surface rust, the car appears rust free. It has been in a Georgia barn for the past 22 years. Didn't mess with it, but it would take very little time to get it running. Brakes also need attention and need to be bled with new brake fluid at the least. My wife is making me get rid of it ASAP. call me with cash offers and come pick it up today. The windshield is missing but can be found fairly inexpensively. All the tail lights and other lights as well as rear view mirror are in the trunk. They were were removed to have them re-chromed because of pitting and surface rust. There is no rust in the floorboards or trunk or underbody as you can see in the pictures. Very rare car that is extremely hard to find not completely rusted through. As far as I can tell everything is original to the car including engine, transmission etc.. Georgia did not issue titles to cars prior to 1961 and they only issued titles on SOME cars from 1961 to 1985. This one is not titled.
