This car was purchased at a online auction with the intention of building it for my daughter. It ran and drove up onto the flatbed. Damage consisted of passenger side fender, front bumper cover, grill, impact bar, bumper reinforcement, headlights , and radiator due to a small crack in the tank. All GM parts were used, nothing aftermarket. The frame horns had a 10 mm twist to the left. The pull was done on a friends frame machine and the new impact bar was welded in place. The car was finished at my shop. It was recertified for the road by Thunder Alley in Kawaihae, HI. Hawaii has a really difficult reconstruction laws, so your are not buying junk! Upon completing the car it was soon obvious this was a poor choice. Due to the light flywheel it was too challenging for a beginner to launch the car without stalling or spinning the tires. The wife and I have been using it as a second car for two years. It drives great. It runs great. Oh, it has a K&N filter and cold air intake. I replaced the shift boot not long ago with a nice one from Redline racing. The factory sound was missing when I got the car, it was replaced it with a Sony Xplod with Bluetooth. ALL RECALL SERVICES HAVE BEEN DONE!!!!! So far I have not been able to get people to even look at the car because of the bad publicity the news has generated. I'm selling it because I'm too old for it and I'd like to finish other projects with the money. I think that pretty much tells the story.
