Up for sale is my personal work truck that I have owned for almost 20-years. It is very strong, reliable, and in great shape. At 100,000 miles, I did the following work in 1999: I installed a re-worked newly built 351 Windsor motor. I installed a rebuilt C-6 transmission with shift kit. I had the Reading box removed, sprayed the frame (with POR-15), and painted the entire truck (as well as the service box.) I had 5-rims sand blasted and painted the same color as the rest of the truck. I installed a complete new suspension system. I installed a complete new front end. I installed a new custom exhaust. I custom bent and installed 1/8" aluminum diamond plate to the interior bed walls and up and over the top of the Reading Box. I customized and installed a black aluminum diamond plate tool box against the rear windscreen for my valuable inventory. I have keys for all of the Reading Box doors and for the bed mounted diamond plate tool box. This truck has dual fuel tanks and very good "E" rated tires. This truck currently has 34,380 miles on it after this work was done in 1999. That's basically 2,300 miles driven each year! This is a 2-wheel drive no frills non A/C truck that will never let you down. I have a custom built 2" square steel tube ladder rack system that I personally carried 24-16' PT 2 x 12's (wet) without any problems what so ever. The rear bumper started to get snotty, so I removed it and built a PT lumber bumper (because I never tow with it) and painted it up nice. I have always been proactive on repairs and rust. This is a clean work truck that has a couple of small dents and/or dings. Ant rust was repaired with new metal with and was sealed. I had all of my vinyl lettering professionally removed that cost me $350.00. You can notice some fading, but it is not all that bad. Some minor work could be done including a tune up, but you can get in it and start working immediately. It sits in my garage and hardly ever gets used any longer. I know it is a 1987 but there are many advantages to this truck with respect to insurance and emissions. I have a very thick folder (including photos) of what I have done to this truck. The truck is located in Yonkers, NY and I would drive it across country tomorrow if I needed to. You may schedule a test drive (you will be very impressed!) Feel free to ask any questions.
