Your bidding on a 1953 Chevy 5-window pick up. It was a feature in Classic Trucks magazine in the December 2012 issue. If you've been to Frog Follies in the last two years or Back to the Fifties and some of the Goodguys and NSRA shows in the past few years then you may have seen it parked in the Fatman Fabrications booth as our display vehicle. It's also been used in many of our adds.This truck has proven itself VERY reliable as both a cruiser, road trip vehicle and even running to the local Hardware stores for home improvement items. She's comfortable doing over 300 miles a day during rainy or nice sunny days and has done a couple of legs of the Power Tour and just came back from Myrtle Beach. This truck is done RIGHT, no expense was spared and no corners were cut. It was built by me with help from my co-workers and friends at Fatman fabrications. Unlike so many other vehicles we've seen come and go, this one looks just as good from the bottom as from the top. It doesn't need flashy paint and a high end interior to distract anyone from the mess underneath, and the pics will show that. Here's a list of parts on this truck:Fatman Fabrications frame with Ridetech shockwaves up front, 4 bar rear suspension with bags with Ridetech adjustable shocks out back, front and rear sway bars, power rack, power brakes, Ford 9" rear with a fresh 3.70 trac loc gear set, and 4 wheel disc brakes. This frame would price out at over $17k!Ridetech electronic compressor kit with level sensors, remotes and cell phone app. Tanks Inc steel tank with bed fill out back, Dakota Digital gauges, Ididit column, American Autowire harness kit( most of which is hidden), Vintage Air A/C with heat and defrost, Nu Relic power windows, Newport Engineering intermittent wipers with washers, split bench from an '01 Buick with power drivers seat, Trique mfg. door latches and Lokar pedals and parking brake handle.A fresh 4-bolt main 350 bored .060 over with all new internals(cast crank, rods, Sealed Power Hyperutectic coated Pistons, Comp cams hydraulic valve train with 1.6 ratio roller tip rockers, new RHS cylinder heads, Edelbrock carb and intake, and Sanderson coated headers)Gearstar level 2 4L60E transmission with standalone computer.New Dan Carpenter bed with Oak bed wood and Pro's Pick tailgate latches, S/S slats with hidden hardware and billet bed fill door, BeBops fiberglass rear fenders and custom taillight brackets holding up 55-59 Chevy tail lights. Now, there a quite a few but tasteful body mods done which very few people notice at the shows. The drip rails have been removed and replaced with round stock, cowl vent and side louver removed, bed raised, clean tailgate, all emblems removed and replaced with later Chevy script, stainless center hood stip modified into a bullnose, and the rear window was enlarged so the lower lines of all three back now match. The body is painted with SEM Hot Rod black which is a tough single stage paint not affected by UV rays. Inside the dash has been modified for the top A/C vent and the Proline Vintage Air controls sunken into the bottom of the dash, the Kenwood Cd, USB capable head unit has been put in an overhead console. There are now two 3" speakers behind the grille while two 6x9 speakers hide behind the seats driven off a power amp. The interior and exterior of the cab has been coated with spay-on heat shield/sound deadener before adding the Dynamat Extreme to the interior. With all of these quality parts and all of the labor involved you'de find it nearly impossible to assemble yourself without spending twice as much as you could buy this one for. Years of helping our customers correct dangerously built street rods over the phone has shown me there are some great looking but badly built vehicles out there.
