I bought this jeep more than a year ago and paid to have it transported here to finish resto .I mostly bought a project which had the tub replaced and frame sandblasted and painted by previous owner. lots of things replaced including, wipper motor and linkage, speedo, heater controls, new top and doors, new exhaust and manifold, new carb and HEI dist, clutch, alt, horn, wiring engine and rear, rear brakes, steering dampener, nerf bars, and alot more. Enough to say that I have over $10,000 into it. Is it a show car? No its a daily driver! there is a few flaws like a small dent above ft left fender guard size of a .50 cent piece. And a few scratches around door openings etc. The four wheel unit works fine and it starts right up-love that 4.2...The steering column has been professionally shortened 4 inches and the drivers seat frame moved back apprx 4 also. I'm 5'9 and fits me perfectly.I did not change it over to power steering or brakes as it handles so well I didnt need it done- Im 60 yrs old and if I can steer it anyone can. Remember it is a jeep and she is old school but so nice to have something simple again. This jeep is driven just about every day rain or shine. I just adopted some kids so I need more room though they love it-time to change it up! I have a walk around video of it if you are SERIOUS try to send me your email- and sorry I don't have more pics. Was running fine until last week. Can be driven for about 3 miles before overheating. Local shop said it has blown head gasket. Has new radiator, front tires are excellent, back tires are worn evenly but will need replacing, spare tire is on original, unused full sized wheel and has brand new Bridgestone M/S tire on it. This is a 5 speed manual transmission with 4 wheel drive. Transmission, clutch, and 4 wheel drive work fine. The air conditioning does not work. Body has a few surface rust spots but there is no rust through and no dents of any size. Interior is clean. Driver seat has a couple of small holes but is not torn. Right front CV joint clicks when turned to right at low speed so this will be something to replace but does not click when driving. Radiator drain spigot has a slow drip and I bought a replacement spigot but did not install yet. Clear Oregon title and currently licensed until February, 2016. Mechanically in very good shape with Hemi engine, 109,xxx miles. I drove the truck cross-country recently, not a single issue. Oil changed on time always. This truck can tow 9 or 9.500 lbs but there was no towing package installed. I installed a two inch ball on the rear bumper – the factory made the setup – and towed only a light open utility trailer with it on one trip. The factory installed bumper has a limit of around 6,000 lbs for towing. Brakes perfect, before I went on cross-country trip at around 104,000 miles the front brakes were done, power steering pump + fluid was changed, new belt and belt tensioner were installed. Engine & transmission are perfect. Tires are ok for a year or more, spare tire properly in position. There are minor cosmetic issues. The rear bumper was bumped and was dented a little bit all across but no body damage there. Truck bed is 6’ has a heavy duty plastic cover installed and an older Leer truck cap but it is not a perfect match although it sits there solidly attached with six heavy stainless bolts. Car is registered till June of 2016. I have the complete dealer shop manual for this car on CD. The Hemi engine is a major advantage compared to the others. This car is fast like a race car but my racing days were over some decades ago and I need something with a better gas mileage for long trips.
