1985 Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet Black with a tan interior. 47,000 miles. Fuel injected V-8 3 liter motor with four valves per cylinder, this is the same engine that is in the very famous and well loved Ferrari 308 series, it is fitted to a 5 speed transmission, the car drives nicely and sounds wonderful. I have owned this car about 7 years,in that time I put a few hundred miles on it, while I did not use it a lot, I made sure to regularly exercise the car so it would not sit around. I had a major service performed when I got the car and then last year I had a friend replace the timing belts since the major was still fresh and the belts were due time wise. The car runs great, the windows all work, it is a wonderful driving example of the Ferrari Mondial Convertible. The paint shows very nicely and looks great. The seat leather is dried and there are some cracks in the seats, I just put seat covers on them and it was fine with me. The mileage on the car fax report shows a discrepancy it didn't bother me because the car ran so well and with the exception of the seat leather it is a nice car. Black is the best color for this model Mondial, the black paint matches the black bumpers so they do not appear to stick out as they do with other colors. Numbers match.Originally Irish Green, now red, car needs paint the paint is dull on panels and mis-matched as I had the roof painted when I got the car due to the paint coming off and you could see the original green underneath. Underside is clean but there is rust in the rear underside area behind the passenger door, I have posted a photo of the area affected. Only two owners from new. full owners manual pouch with original clock tag and key tag, service booklet is with car also and it is stamped from new until second owner got car. I have had the brakes all done with new brake hoses and rebuilt calipers, I had the carbs totally cleaned and now the car runs well. It does grind going into Reverse, I think the clutch on the sporto needs adjustment. I was attracted to this car due to the two owner history and great paperwork along with the full owners pouch, tool kit and jack kit. My plan was to paint it back to the original Irish Green, put an interior kit in the car and then have a very nice 911 T Coupe that my wife could also use because she does not drive standard transmission,but I just do not have time to deal with it so I am listing it here for sale. On May-28-14 at 07:13:40 PDT, seller added the following information: There has been a tremendous amount of interest in the car, thank you. Several people have said that the paint looks good in the pictures which it does, but in person the paint is dull on the front and I had the roof and door paint when I got the car because the red paint was coming off and you could see the green underneath, I just had the paint shop do a quick job because I figured for a while I would just drive it like that and then later on change it over to the original Green color,because of this the paint on the panels does not match. There is a small crack in the windshield right where the rear view mirror mounts and the dash has a cover on it which I have never removed. The front bumper is fiberglass, I thought it was a factory light weight bumper.I have also posted many photos in the page mentioned in the initial listing text above, please look it over if you are seriously interested. These are great cars and I think the sportomatics are pretty rare now as most of them were converted to manual shift. The car does have the original manual pouch with all the little details that is often lacking in many cars and the service book is stamped as well with receipts for service work after that.
