It is a factory air conditioning car and all parts are there but it does not work I am selling to make room for other projects. The pictures will show what has been done and what needs to be done is as described. The tires are good, the hide-away headlamps work and the sequential turn signals work well. The original motor and points system for the turn signals works and were re-built last year. Trunk has been re-done and the gas tank is a year old. The front suspension and steering has also been re-built and the car goes down the road very well. The original 289 was gone when I bought car but there is a very strong 302 in its place and the transmission work well.Vehicle come with extra doors, hood, trunk lid, new carpet, new windshield and assorted other extra and spare parts. The rear springs, shocks and all the brakes have been re-built and work very well. This is a project car and I am just selling to make room. Have driven car to local shows and it does very well on highway. The vehicle needs the cowl panel, floors and frame rails re-done. All common problems for the Cougars and Mustangs of the day. Parts are available, just don't have room right now and don't want to see car outside over the winter. Any questions will be answered as best as I can. Shipping is to be paid by buyer. 1986 Pontiac trans am, 305 tuned port injected, 189xxx miles, automatic. The story behind this car- this was my high school car, the stories it could tell oh my! In 2005 it started needing a few things, tires, shocks, alignment, little things. I was just barely getting my life on track so I didn't have the money up front to put $1500 of parts in it, plus I was needing a pickup so I financed a cheap pickup and parked the trans am behind my grandpas shop. One day he was burning tumble weeds in his pit, gust of wind came thru picked a burning tumble weed out of the pit and lit the grass on fire which took a straight line shot straight for my car! It melted the front bumper, head light wiring, all the plastic up front and took the paint off the one fender, it did not get any part of the motor or the wiring of the motor! In 2011 my grandpa passed and I had to move the car, the city didn't like it parked outside so I had to sell it. I sold it to a gentleman in 2012 and bought it back a short time later. While the other guy had it he replaced a head light, I don't remember if he put a new wiring harness in for the headlights or not I wanna say he did, and he did have it running again. Since I have had it back I have not touched it, it has been parked in a storage unit for the last 3 years. Now for the kicker....when I sold it I signed a clear title over, when I bought it back he signed a clear title back over to me, before I was able to make it to the court house to transfer the title into my name I totaled my pickup, I believe the title was left in the glove box of my pickup. I am trying to find the previous owner to have him file for a lost title. So there is a few options, 1 we can try to contact the previous owner and get a title, or 2 it can be built into a drag strip car and raced (which I would personally LOVE to see!) I have never shipped a vehicle before if you decide to have it shipped I would have to have you set everything up, or if you are within a decent distance and would reimburse some expense to meet I would do that.
