998 k1500 z71 silverado 4x4, 14 bolt rear axle, 5spd manual trans, keyless entry, 235/85-16 tires, about 80-85% tread left, great in the snow, interior is pretty clean for its age but there are a few cigarette burns from the previous owner, headlights are HID and if you look in the pics, where the parking lights normally are there are and extra set of headlamps, also hid, and wired so the on high beam all 8 bulbs are lit up, it's really bright! engine was replaced at 100,000 miles with a newer ls based 5.3L out of an 02 with 99k on it, heavy duty clutch and pressure plate were installed at the some time as well as a new throw out bearing. engine is turbocharged currently running 6-7psi, I haven't had it dynoed but should be making approx 400hp at this boost level, it is setup to run water methanol injection and up to 12psi with estimated hp at 550 fully tuned. i would recommend some dyno time to reach for that level. turbo is a gt3582 t4 with and external 50mm wastegate, 2.5" y pipe off the manifolds converge to 3" at the turbo, from turbo back its a straight 3.5" Tuning is done via a laptop running JET dynamic spectrum tuner software and cable which will be included with the truck. rear suspension has 2500lbs air bags to level the truck no matter what your towing, hauled a 9,000 pound trailer from WI to WY in july with it, ran great the whole way. there are quite a few dings scratches and dents on the body, i tried to get pics that show them. as for fuel mileage, it depends a lot on your right foot, empty mixed driving about 14, hwy depending on conditions ive gotten anywhere from 15-20, pulling that 9k trailer from WI i got 11-12 the bad: front suspension tie rod ends and lower ball joint are in need of replacing 5th gear synchronizer is weak, it was this way when i bought the truck. rear axle pinion seal leaks, leaves a few drops where you park. 99-02 ls truck engines are known for the piston clearances to be loose and resulting in piston slap when the engine is cold, this one is no exception, google for more info on this but it was a common complaint and the consensus is that while annoying it doesn't hurt the engine, ive put 20k on it this way and it hasn't changed.
