1998 BMW M3 Convertible, 5 speed manual trans, 108k/miles (original clutch), runs and drives beautifully, Oil always changed on time with Mobil 1 full synthetic and ran only on 93+ octane fuel. Water pump has been replaced with the more reliable metal impeller pump. Also recently replaced the idler pulley, serpentine belt and radiator. Front seats have been redone with high quality Autoberry OEM equivalent covers complete with M flags. I have all of the service records since new including a mileage log that the first owner kept, original books/manuals, original window sticker, original gauge cluster decals, original passenger airbag warning tag, original glove box flashlight and all of the original tools in the trunk tool kit. The only modifications that have been done to the car are a K&N drop in air filter, DJ Auto European glass lens projector headlights with 6000K HIDs, ZHP Weighted Shift Knob and red/smoked tail lights. I still have the original headlights, tail lights and I have some smoked front corner lights that I bought, but didn't care for. Other than that the car is all original. It has never been wrecked, but being that it is a 17 year old car, the body does have a little road rash from being driven (it was my daily driver for a year and a half and never let me down). This is most noticeable on the front bumper, hood (mainly rock chips) and rear bumper. The top opens and closes fine, but the top itself should really be replaced soon. I always keep it covered, but if caught in torrential rain it does have a tenancy to leak at the seams a little. The car does need new rubber all around, but that is one of the reasons I have it priced as I do. If I put new tires, a top and a new clutch in it I'd have it priced at closer to $8000. The only other thing I can think of is that the steering wheel creaks when turned. It started doing this close to a year ago and I just never really had time to start pulling things apart.
