1980 FORD THUNDERBIRD "RARE CAR" PURCHASED FROM LOCAL LADIES ESTATE SALE. SHE WAS A CAR COLLECTOR/ANTIQUE DEALER . Car has 60,719 miles , a 302ci. engine that runs nice and quiet and is clean and dry (no leaks) . Transmission was rebuilt and I found the reciept for that in the car for almost $1400.00 . brand new battery along with new battery terminals (only two months old) . Car was repainted at one time and im pretty sure the vinyl top was replaced too . Carb was either replaced or rebuilt because it looks nice and clean and works very well . Has air conditioning but belt is off . Car will need some TLC like some interior stuff and some other odds and ends like the one trim piece on passenger side rear quarter is dented. , alittle rust on the front of the hood also Will need a parking brake cable. The headlights work but after you shut the car off they will slowly start to open back up (vacuum leak i guess). But all in all this is a good running and driving car . Selling this jeep for my father-in-law. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it mechanically. The only defect with the jeep is purely cosmetic; the plastic step pad on the driver's side nerf bar is cracked. It has never seen anything other than pavement (never been off road). He purchased the jeep in early 2014 and has invested over $9,000 in aftermarket parts and another $3,000 in a new paint job. I personally helped him pick out everything he purchased for this vehicle, and I can assure you it's all top of the line. I've been a mechanic/jeep enthusiast for over 10 years, so I performed all of the mechanical work/parts installation on the vehicle. The jeep was painted by Amsley's in Chambersburg, PA. Alright so i have a 2003 eclipse Gt with many mods. This car has a motor from a Mitsubishi diamante with a centrifugal supercharger. I guarantee you'll never run into anybody with a 3G like this. The car has 97,000 miles on the body and 115,000 on the swaped motor. with roughly 8,000 miles on the supercharger :). I did the work and sent it off for tuning and decided to update everything.
