This truck is a tank and it drives like one, actually it drives pretty good. The engine is a 392 with a four bbl with a factory Holley carb. Originally it had an automatic but the original owner swapped in a factory original International 4 speed along with all the factory pedals, clutch linkage etc. Original NM truck with rust limited to the passenger hood hinge area, bed pocket, and minor area near driver foot rest. Truck wears a great patina of non-original paint but still very presentable. Tires are 33" with drum brakes at all four corners and work as to be expected....they stop it. Fires up with the bump of the key with smooth idle and no hesitation or flat spots. Interior is in great shape, it appears the seats have been reupholstered and besides the driver side front seat all is in great shape. Original floor vinyl has a couple of cracks but is in presentable order. PTO winch is a rare option and only adds to the character of this beast. 1961 Triumph TR3A Roadster British Racing Green over Biscuit! Recently restored! 4-speed overdrive! Upgraded TR3B 2138cc motor! I am very pleased to offer this late model 1961 Triumph TR3A for sale! The car is finished in a classic shade of British Racing Green over a Biscuit interior. The car is powered by a 2138cc 4 from the later TR3Bs, a healthy upgrade from the original 1,991cc engine, and a fully synchronized 4-speed manual overdrive transmission! These are features found in the later “TR3B” and may suggest that this car was something of a predecessor to that car? The car is further fitted with several nice touches, including side curtain wind wings, electric radiator cooling fan, rack-and-pinion steering and 5.5” TR6 wheels. When the Triumph TR3 first appeared, in 1955, Triumph intended not simply to update the previous TR2 but also bring the Triumph driving experience and styling into the second half of the ‘50s! Being conservative by nature, Triumph debuted the car with the TR2’s 95 horsepower 1991cc 4 cylinder motor and drive train, which was actually more than enough for a car that weighed just over 2,000 pounds. However, Triumph then launched the “TR3A” in 1957. The “TR3A” further improving the car and incorporating wider front grille and becoming the first production car to feature front disc brakes! There were just 58,236 TR3As produced, of which less than 9,500 are documented to survive today! The ultimate iteration came in 1962 with the introduction of the TR3B, which later came standard with the TR4’s 2138cc engine making 105 horsepower and 127 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a full synchromesh 4-speed manual gearbox. This is a local New Mexico TR3A that has been totally frame off reconditioned over the last two years. The car was completely dissembled and sand blasted, then any rust was removed and replaced with new/repaired sheet metal. The body is very straight with excellent fit. Complete paint in a base coat/clear coat British Racing Green was done, all rubber replaced, new wiring harness, all trim, upholstery, and carpeting was redone and a new windshield installed. Engine and gearbox plus entire drivetrain rebuilt with new aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan, brakes, exhaust, suspension etc. Restoration is not Pebble Beach quality but very good for local shows and ready to drive anywhere. Interior has all restored gauges, lights and signals functioning as they should. Soft top frame has been restored with a tonneau cover and new side curtains. New wiring harness, trim redone with new windshield. Engine and overdrive gearbox plus entire drivetrain rebuilt with new carburetors, brakes, exhaust, suspension etc. Complete paint in British Racing Green, and all new leather and trim pieces in the cabin. The car runs and drives exceptionally well thanks to a recently rebuilt motor and transmission. The car makes for a very drivable and presentable example of one of Britain’s most popular roadsters and should make the next owner extraordinarily proud both at local shows and on short road trips! I did a top level restoration right after I originally bought the car and drove it daily until the ignition failed in ’92. It then sat for several years until I decided to do a frame off restoration in 2008 or 2009. I pulled it down and worked on the restoration, on and off, till last spring when I more or less finished. I’ve been driving it occasionally since and, at the same time, ironing out some of the residual issues from the restoration. I have several other cars I’m working on and have garage space for them all, or did have till I bought a partially restored ’56 ford pickup and now I’m stuck for a place to put it. As it happens, I like restoring these guys more than I like owning them and since this one’s now done it’s the one my wife and I think should go. That is unless one of you wants a ’59 XK150 in pieces or a ’67 retro-model jaguar MK2? This is an extremely nice example of a classic car, finished in original color using PPG Base /clear, 9 out of 10 paint job. New carpet and door panels, everything else is original to the car and is in good, presentable condition, I even have the original front and rear floor mats that came with the car. Engine is from a 1993 Camaro SS, with 63,???. Four speed Muncie is from a 1970 Chevelle SS (M20), the rear end is 2:73 ratio???? it is perfect for highway cruising, but has no problem laying rubber with a deep first gear. Will never overheat with electric pulling fan attached to a huge Griffin aluminum radiator, all lights and turn signals work. Front disk brakes, rear drum. Rims are from a 2007 Corvette, not cheap knock off's, these are Genuine GM, in perfect condition. Kumho tires have less than 500 miles. Power steering works flawless, power brakes work perfect. The engine currently has an A/C compressor with serpentine belt and all wiring is intact if you chose to add a/c under the dash. Jet hot ceramic coated headers with full flowmaster exhaust system, perfect exhaust note, just loud enough to let people know you've arrived. New plug wires routed on top of the valve covers to eliminate any melted wires common with LT1 engines with headers, so no problems there. Wiring harness has OBD port to allow diagnostics and shows no codes, runs in closed loop as it should. Runs and drives like a modern car. This is an extremely reliable driver, needs zero mechanically to get in and drive across country except a new convertible top, the top and all associated bows are in perfect operable order and the top opens and closes excellent. I have driven this car with my family and it has proven itself as a very reliable driver. Yes you will get lots of people who want to talk about the good old days, give you thumbs up, ask if its for sale, etc. It does need a new top, dash pad and weatherstripping. I have the original Jack and spare tire as well. Undercarriage and frame was sandblasted and painted, it is in very nice condition with zero rust!
