SUPER STRONG RUNNING CAR, EXCELLENT ENGINE, PURRS, STARTS UP INSTANTLY AND AIR CONDITIONING BLOWS ICE COLD! COMES WITH BRAND NEW CONVERTIBLE TOP WHITE SAIL CLOTH VINYL ROOF NEW IN BOX NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED. TOP IS BRAND NEW IN BOX WITH NEW GLASS REAR WINDOW THAT IS HEATED (DEFROSTER BUILT IN). CAR COMES WITH THE (4) ORIGINAL FACTORY RIMS HOWEVER THE BRAND NEW RIMS ON THE VEHICLE ARE BEAUTIFUL AND ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD WITH LESS THAN 200 MILES OF USE ON THEM WITH TOP OF THE LINE NEW FIRESTONE TIRES. I do not have time or the room to finish the car's restoration so I am willing to sell the car at a loss. I have priced it at $2500 FIRM! That price includes the NEW TOP (that needs installation and the 4 original rims that were replaced by the new black rims on the vehicle).
This is a great car that needs very little to make a really nice daily driver or weekend convertible. We took the car on as a project to restore that had been sitting for a long time and needed a bunch of mechanical work which we have had most of completed. We have too many projects going on and we are selling our 1997 Chrysler Sebring JXi Convertible.
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD AS WE ARE A VERY REPUTABLE PRIVATE SELLER AND HAVE ASSESSED THE ENTIRE CAR AND WILL EXPLAIN ITS CONDITION ITEMIZED BELOW AS BEST WE CAN.
I bought the car this year which had been sitting for a good amount of time and was in need of full restoration. I have over $5500 invested in the car as it sits. The vehicle has a strong engine with under 59,000 original miles. I have done a good deal of work to the car which includes over $2200 of work in a local mechanic shop within the past couple of months. The car as it sits still needs some work to finish it off but all the major repairs have been made. Vehicle needs a New Top as the convertible top on the car is worn out - The Car comes with a Brand New Sailcloth Vinyl White Top New in the Box with a Glass Rear Window (heated / with Defroster in the Window, the NEW Top is not installed and comes in a box ready for installation in the car - a Free installation online video / tutorial is included if the new buyer wants to install the top themselves.

Car runs very strong, needs about $1,000 or less of work left to be a 100% daily driver. The body is in overall very good condition. It has some minor dings as you would expect but they really are not noticeable and if you wanted to make the car 100% perfect those dings could be fixed easily by a mobile body dent repair service. The exterior is White. The interior is Beige Leather has cracking and needs to be reconditioned or new seat covers need to be applied.
CAR NEEDS THE FOLLOWING WORK TO BE 100%:
1. The car comes with a Brand New White Convertible Top New in the Box with online/login type instruction video if you desire to do it yourself otherwise you would need to have a shop install the top for you. The Top is upgraded with a New Heated / Defroster Rear Glass Window, so that comes with car new in box but will need installation.
2. When the mechanic shop did all the recent service and fluids from it being sitting for a long period of time the transaxle seal needs to be replaced from the recent transmission flush. I have received to quotes to replace the transaxle seal / gasket for up to $260 in cost by local transmission service shops. So the car drives fine and transmission is in good condition and operates fine but it will have a slow transmission fluid drip due to needing that seal / gasket.
3. The interior Leather interior has cracking and in the front seats and rear seats and the back seat has a cut / in the middle of the seat. You can purchase leather restore kits for the car for about $59 online and do this yourself, or they have nice leather covers made for the car available online for $179.
4. All the gauges work fine except I noticed on a recent test drive that the speedometer is ticking down a little bit so it doesn't come back to zero immediately. I am told this could be due to the car having been sitting for a long period of time whether the cable should be inspected and cleaned or replaced.
5. The stereo should need replacement, we installed a new Chrysler over 100 watt power amp that works fine but the original stereo's volume control isn't working which seems to be a malfunction in the stereo itself that stops the power antenna from going up and down. CD's will play but the volume control doesn't work so you will need a new stereo which is very common in these cars.
6. The 3rd brake light (which is the one installed in the middle of the rear of the convertible top by the trunk needs to be replaced, they are available online for about $44 and are not worth trying to repair as its easier to just replace them). All other lights / brake lights work and back up lights have been changed to halogen bulbs.
7. Needs a really heavy duty detailing, the car had sat for many years so it needs a really heavy duty detailing / cleaning.
We have gone through the car top to bottom and as disclosed invested a good deal of money and parts in the car. Like I said, if you do not do the remaining work yourself there would be about $1,000 more needed to be invested in the car to make it 100% but its a strong driver right now and when the top is installed and interior is finished it will be a really sharp car.
We just don't have the time to finish the car as we have too many other projects going on so our loss is your gain. If you are looking for a nice used convertible with all the major costly work done, and don't mind to either finish the remaining items yourself or spend a few more dollars getting the remaining work finished, then this the car for you. If you are looking for something 100% finished and restored then this would not be the perfect car for you.
Please SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY, no low ball offers please as are taking a substantial loss with the money we have invested and we would prefer to finish the car ourselves before we would be willing to discount it any further. PRICED TO SELL, MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN THE FIRST $2,500 CASH FIRM and you will have a great car that does not need much to finish! Please phone calls or Email through the Craigslist system please ... NO TEXTING.
Thanks for your interest.
