This is a 1990 Volvo 240 sedan in need of repair due to long-term storage. It was a very solid, good running vehicle which was parked in order to perform routine repairs and service. It was owned by a local man who was a machinist, and had the car serviced routinely by one of Detroit's best Volvo mechanics. This car has an excellent 4 spd automatic "overdrive" transmission - worth as much or more than the asking price of this sale. The motor was also very good - and still could be with servicing and now minor repair. The basic mechanics are solid and original throughout the car. The worst thing about the car is the paint now - which is primarily a clearcoat problem. The underside of the car has surface rust - but no major rust or structural damage. i bought the car originally because of its good condition - then I was forced to leave the project unfinished due to family issues. This Volvo was in the midst of a complete brake job when it was parked. The original parts are still with the vehicle. It also needed a waterpump, and now will need a battery. I would invest in a complete ignition tuneup, also. storage.The tires are not holding air due to storage This vehicle will have to be towed via flatbed - or trailered. The vehicle is located on a major road in the northern Detroit suburbs - in between I-94 and I-75. If you want this car shipped - you will have to arrange this yourself. I have no experience in shipping autos, sorry. This sale is for a parts car, as shown in the photos and as described. All my ebay sales are final. 1990 corvette project or parts I bought this car from a long time friend who is moving out of state he has owned the car since 2011 he said the mileage is in the 70s I did not light up the dash to verify the exact mileage he said the car runs but won't accelerate ideals no problem he replaced the fuel pump and the computer did not solve the problem so he just parked it the car sat outside for 2yrs then inside the garage till present has sat since 2012 some of the dash is apart from when he changed the computer the hood has a crack in the front and one above the right front wheel the interior looks like it will cleanup had stuff sitting on the driver seat all loose parts are present tires look good looks like it has lots of options including ride control and the glass top with hard top glass top has a crack but still useable so if your a mechanic you probably could make this a driver with the desirable manual trans or lots of good parts car is sold as is where is deposits are none refundable so check with your better half any questions call bob 248 761 2805
