Having said that , a little tlc ( not much ) and it could be a show stopper . The drivetrain is completely rebuilt and done right. Small block 327 bored .40 over (342 ) . Liberty aluminum heads 2.02 heads. Edelbrock RPM intake with Demon carb. 11.5:1 dome top pistons . Full roller motor with .532 lift cam. T56 6 speed trans out of a '96 Camaro. Billet aluminum flywheel. Shortened and balanced drive shaft. GM 10 bolt posi rear with 3.73 quick performance gears. Strengthened rear end cap with cap bolt pins. New slave and master cylinder. Speedometer conversion kit . True dual exhaust w/3' 4 chamber Flowmasters. As you can see, He did it right and you won't be disappointed . Very nice car, rides good , the 289 with the c4 auto performs very nicely. The ride of this vehicle is very satisfying . I put this car in one show for Fords and it won it's class. She is not perfect, but with a little tlc she could be . The only reason it is up for sale , is my passion for the older cars has sent me in another direction. I am listing this beautiful 57 Chevy for a friend of mine who I thought would never sell it ! The owner of this Chevy has owned it since 1992 and has always garaged it ! This is a California car with the one piece front bumper and is rust free. The engine is a 327 double hump with only about 1,000 miles since total rebuild ( 4bbl carb). This Chevelle is stunning in appearance inside and out. This car is being offered by a close friend of the original owner. In 1970 the original owner bought the car new, and shortly thereafter was deployed to Vietnam. While he was gone his wife took it to a repair shop for engine work, which should have been a minor problem, this shop was not honest, they told her it needed a new engine, she consented. The dishonest people took out her 350 and replaced it with a 305, I guess they wanted a 350 for themselves. However the 305 runs great , but is not original to the car everything otherwise is. You could swap out the 305 for a 350 and it would be as original as they get. The car does have ac but needs refitting and hooked up, belt, it needs a heater core but a new one will be supplied. Looking at the car you see it riding on wide whitewall rayon tires, not the best riding tire but period correct and like new. The interior is original and in beautiful shape. Many replacement parts will come with it, all paperwork including a magazine article featuring the car.
