The 2005 Chevrolet Police Package (9C1) includes heavy duty steel shocks with longer travel and all tempered steel (rather than aluminum, as on civilian models) struts, springs, sway bars and front uprights. Door frames are lined in Kevlar, but would not recommend using them as shields for gun play or firefights. Top speed fuel cutoff limits exceed those of typical vehicles, and the computer is also tuned to allow much faster high-speed starts from standing than other cars. So please drive responsibly.
9C1s generally run hundreds of thousands of miles as taxicabs and law enforcement vehicles, and are not sold by the manufacturer to the general public, but only to law enforcement, fire department, and government EMS agencies.

Normal wear and tear, but no rust, large dents, or deep scratches on the exterior or rips and stains in the upholstery. Heavy-duty full rubberized flooring is easy to clean.
A specialized, heavy-duty 4T65E 4-speed automatic, electronically controlled transmission provides protection against over-revving the engine in low gear, even when a driver manually selects a lower gear and fails to manually upshift to a higher gear. The powertrain control module will automatically protect the drivetrain.
