Take a look through our recent inventory and you\'ll see that we had another bright red Chevy panel delivery in stock at about this price, and it lasted all of a week before it sold. This 1965 Chevrolet panel truck is even more unusual and represents a segment of the hobby that has always been strong; it\'s just that these trucks are now becoming wildly popular. This bright red panel truck is quite a bit nicer than the last one, with a ton of time wrapped up in all those acres of sheetmetal that needed to be smoothed and sanded in preparation for paint. The truck\'s a neat combination of pickup truck front and bodywork that\'s vaguely reminiscent of a suburban, but Chevy made it attractive with plenty of body sculpting. Check out the unique shape of the roof where the cab meets the cargo bay, the wrap-around hood treatment, and the barn-style doors with deeply contoured faces that are stylish simply for style\'s sake. The bright red paint was expertly applied and while it shows some minor signs of use, it has a bright surface that shines up beautifully and looks like this truck should cost far more than it does. Nice chrome ion the front bumper and grille adds a bit of upscale sparkle, and a trio of sunroof panels were installed during the restoration to add a little light and air to the interior. Looks great, don\'t you think? Tan bucket seats, a console, and plenty of creature comforts make this far more appealing to us today than the delivery drivers of 1965. Gone is the sticky vinyl bench, replaced with low-back seats wrapped in tan cloth and joined by a set of matching door panels. The dash was painted to match the bodywork and retains its original gauges, which are stashed behind a single sheet of Lucite for a very trick look, right from the factory. The late-model steering wheel and tilt column make it easy to get comfortable for long hauls, and there\'s a great-sounding AM/FM/CD stereo system that really fills the big cabin with sound. The cargo area is also fully finished, with beautiful wood floors and side panel upholstery that looks great without being overwhelming. Most of all, this truck is still practical. Power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8, what else? Upgraded with the usual parts, including an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, it\'s a strong runner that\'ll travel cross-country without complaint and has a great V8 sound that\'s unexpected from a delivery truck. A big radiator, new power brake booster and master cylinder, and power steering add to the truck\'s user-friendly nature. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission powers a 12-bolt rear end that hangs on coil springs and air shocks, so the ride is quite comfortable regardless of the load. The chassis isn\'t detailed and looks quite original, but it\'s also obvious that this truck has lived somewhere that salt on the roads is not a major issue, and it\'s got a lot of time left to cruise. Shiny Centerline wheels give it a sporty demeanor and carry fat 295/50/15 tires that totally fill the big wheel wells. So the last bright red Chevy panel truck we had was here about a week. How long will this one last? About as long as it takes you to pick up the phone and give us a call! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. This 1965 Chevrolet C10 is a great example. There was a lot of thought put into creating the right colors and features so that is always stands out in the crowd. The first thing you notice about this truck is the paint. The metallic blue is a cool base color, and in an interesting twist, the pieces that are traditionally chrome have been painted for an updated feel. This metallic silver trim looks like a cool street-rod kind of no-nonsense approach until the sunlight hits it. Then the bumpers, grille, and rear roof portion light up with a deeper shine than chrome. There is even some nice style in the stepside body with the wood in the truck bed upgraded to grey Trex style composite decking (EXTREMELY durable) to match the trim. But if it's aggression you like, the Grand Slam kit from Classic Performance Products gives this pickup an intimidating stance, even when it's just standing still. Of course the 20-inch Boss torq-thrust wheels add a lot to this Chevy's attitude too. The interior does a great job of continuing the exterior's theme. The same electric blue runs across the dash, and is the base for the doors, but then the silver insert is the perfect complement. You'll notice it instantly as you open the door, that the panel matches up nicely against the two-tone cab. The black vinyl bench coordinates with the three-spoke sports steering wheel, and the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo. New black/gray carpeting ties it all together, and provides extra insulation. The gauge package in front of the driver looks crisp and original to this C10, but there's also a full auxiliary setup in the center, which is a clear indication that there is something special under the hood. A great Chevy 350 cubic-inch small block is powering this pickup. These motors are ideal because there are so many performance parts available for them, and this one has already been upgraded with an Edelbrock performance air cleaner, carburetor, and intake. This feeds the dual exhaust that has a sweet rumble from the Dynomax mufflers. The near bulletproof TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes maximize drive-ability. Plus the low profile Sumitomo HTR tires on the lowered performance suspension gives this pickup a downright sporty feeling on the road. This truck has all the custom touches you love without losing the original spirit. It's a vintage head-turner, with excellent driving capabilities, at a value price. Just take one look and you can see this 1965 Chevrolet C10 has all the right custom features to attract the right kind of attention. Like a pompadour haircut, this pickup is bold, classic, and has a standout kind of cool. You want to get noticed? Then do it with a beautiful black, that's the backdrop for a full length chrome strip with a racing red stripe. Fit and finish are very good, and if this truck ever spent days out in the field or on the job site, all evidence of it has been completely erased by the build. Instead, the sheetmetal is nearly straight enough to use as a mirror, which is perfect for the sleek fleetside body. The shine of the glossy black rivals the pristine brightwork on the grille, bumpers, and the Rally wheels with cool knock-off style center caps. There's even a shine from the varnish on the real wood truck bed (plus the mirror alloy on both ends!) It's all protected for the long haul thanks to a full bed cover. Open the door and the sea of black and red continue on everything from the flame floor mats, to the door panels, to the custom vinyl bucket seats with comfortable cloth inserts. The older classic steering wheel matches perfectly, and it makes the original gauges and steel dash look like an older vintage too. While this one might have all the hallmarks of a 60s-style custom cruiser, it has been upgraded to an AM/FM/cassette stereo, so it's adaptable to play everything from Elvis to whatever passes for rock 'n' roll, or country, these days. If the interior and exterior are so boldly performance-oriented, then you better believe the engine bay delivers the power. Chevy's trusty and robust 350 cubic-inch V8 is one of the best engines for upgrades, and this one already features performance extras such as a newer Carter Quadrajet carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and Edelbrock valve covers. The full package makes a sweet rumble out of the chrome-tipped dual exhaust. All of this might be an aggressive package, but you won't be afraid to take this cool cat cruising anytime thanks to features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and the C10's comfortable trailing arm rear suspension. This Chevy makes you cool, intimidating, and awesome all at the turn of a key. Can you believe that's all available for under $25K?! This 1965 Chevy El Camino is a beautifully preserved survivor, carrying its original, numbers-matching 327/4-speed combination, lots of options, and showing just 41,934 original miles. Perhaps the El Camino\'s time has passed, but it represents one of the last truly new ideas in the automotive kingdom. A practical utility vehicle based on one of the most potent muscle cars of the era? Where do I sign up? This particular Elky sports a fresh coat of Madiera Maroon paint, its original color, and it perfectly complements its dignified presence. Obviously this has never been a rusty car, hailing from down south where sheetmetal lasts practically forever, and the work was done not too long ago. It\'s very straight overall, suggesting that this trucklet never had to work for a living, and there are virtually zero waves in those giant panels that comprise the bed sides. With that in mind and figuring that the truck\'s working days were over, the bed painted to match, and fortunately the guys doing the work did an exemplary job of masking off the shiny bits. It carries a rare fiberglass tonneau cover with bed rails that has been on the truck since it was new (a vintage Polaroid photo shows it looking pretty much like it does here). You\'ll also note that the chrome and trim is bright, proper badges have been reinstalled, and the overall look is crisp. The highly optioned medium red interior is more proof that this truck was never intended to go to the job site each day. Twin two-tone bucket seats, a center console, and a 4-speed transmission would look more at home in the Elky\'s cousin, the Chevelle, than in a mere pickup truck. The upholstery is simply too nice to be original, but it sure looks right and uses factory-style patterns and materials. The carpets, door panels, and dash trim are also new and look awesome, bringing the interior up to the same level as the bodywork. The wide instrument panel and cool horn ring are pure \'60s cool and the high-mounted clock is an unusual option. The original AM radio still plays loud and clear and there\'s still a spare tire with a matching cover stashed behind the passenger\'s seat. The engine is the original, numbers-matching 327 cubic inch V8 that remains as-built in the El Camino\'s engine bay. Satin black inner fenders are a great background for the Chevy Orange engine which appears to be completely original and untouched. There are no aftermarket upgrades, so you get stock painted valve covers with factory \'327\' decals, a standard black air cleaner, and cast iron exhaust manifolds feeding an ancient dual exhaust system. You\'ll also note a new master cylinder and maybe freshened coolant hoses, but the rest is simply the result of nearly five decades of care by two loving owners. A factory 4-speed is a rather rare option in an El Camino, and it drives highway-friendly gears in the 10-bolt out back. It\'s also fitted with new brakes all around and fresh 205/75/14 whitewall radials on the original wheels with SS wheelcovers, so it\'s ready to go. With just two owners (the second bought it from the original owner in 1999), this is an extraordinarily clean, fun El Camino that is also immensely practical. Call today! Automotive archaeology is one of our favorite parts of the hobby, and seeing original documentation on any vehicle is fun. For example, this one-family-owned 1965 chevrolet C10 pickup shows just 33,873 original miles and has an interesting story to tell, complete with the original invoice that tells you a lot about its origins. At a glance, it\'s your basic blue-collar pickup and there\'s certainly nothing wrong with that. According to the original invoice, it was purchased new by Mr. Pledger Kinsey of Cleveland, georgia in late 1964, and includes a rather long list of options that obviously meant it was due to do more than just work on the farm. The big thing is the 283, but Mr. Kinsey specified more than $570 worth of additional options, a pretty hefty figure on a truck whose base price was only $1837. The light blue paint was the original choice, refinished nicely about six years ago and still looking great today. Obviously, with the low mileage, Mr. Kinsey didn\'t work the sucker too hard, and as a result the bodywork is in great condition with everything lining up quite well. Now how much of that is due to care and how much is in the restoration is hard to say, but the bottom line is that this truck sure doesn\'t look like it worked too hard over the years. And since other options include the bright trim, whitewall tires, chrome bumpers, and something called the Custom Comfort group, it\'s quite possible that this was a daily driver in addition to pulling job detail now and then. All that optional equipment is still in place, with the chrome bumpers shining better than new and the unusual side trim adding a distinctive look to the slab-sided pickup. The interior appears to be quite stock and possibly even original, given the materials and condition of the seat itself. The tan upholstery still looks great with its striped seating surfaces trimmed in durable vinyl, and again it suggests that this truck probably had an easy life. The steering wheel is a neat-looking piece with integrated horn ring, all framing the cool instrument panel with the needles hiding behind a single piece of clear plastic on which the markings were printed. The rubber mat is simply too nice to be original, and Mr. Kinsey seemed to have his priorities in order, as he specified tinted glass, an oil pressure gauge, and two-speed windshield wipers, as well as an AM radio, which is still in place. Three-on-the-tree shifting can be a lot of fun, giving this old pickup a vintage feel that\'s right in line with its condition and attitude. The engine is the original, numbers-matching 283 cubic inch V8 dressed in gray, which was the commercial vehicle color used in trucks. The big air cleaner up top is correct, and it wears reproduction decals on the valve covers to help re-create the period look. It starts easily and runs like a small-block Chevy should, with a crisp V8 burble from the single exhaust pipe. The undercarriage shows what years of clean living will get you, and it\'s still ready, willing, and able to work around the house thanks to optional auxiliary springs. Simple black painted wheels with dog dish hubcaps keep it honest, and it wears 225/75/15 whitewall radials, which try to replace the original look. This is a fun old truck that\'s all the more appealing thanks to a nice bit of history behind it, and thanks to a nice freshening, it remains a great choice in vintage haulers. This 1965 chevrolet C10 pickup is a great example of bringing old and new together in a way that looks right. With a modern stepside bed out back but a traditional color on its flanks, this neat pickup has a great look that isn\'t trying too hard and still remains completely functional. If you have a vintage pickup in need of a bed, grafting on an OEM piece from a late-model is a great way to get a custom look without the extra labor. It\'s amazing how well the 1990 bed works with the 1960s cab, and with a coat of bright turquoise paint it has a sunny disposition that suits the old hauler just fine. The work was done a few years ago and is holding up well with only very minor signs of use. You\'ll note good gaps all around, so it\'s unlikely that this was some beater truck for decades, and the styling details suggest Chevrolet thought that even truck customers wanted more than just a tool with wheels. Check out the neat \"wing\" detail atop the cab, complete with bright finned trim, the forward-canted windows, and wrap-around character line that defines the center section from nose to bed. White-painted grille and front bumper gives it a traditional working-class look that always works, while the late-model stepside bed offers a chrome bumper and durable bedrails and bedliner, so it doesn\'t mind a bit of dirty work now and then. The simple interior has plenty of appeal if you like the utilitarian feel of an old pickup. The cloth bench seat looks quite appropriate for 1965, and most of the interior appointments are the right age. The steering wheel is a neat-looking piece that wouldn\'t look out of place in an upscale Impala and the flat gauge panel with the needles floating behind it is a long-time favorite for many enthusiasts. A pair of auxiliary gauges under the dash offer a more in-depth view of the mechanicals, and yes, that\'s a functioning under-dash A/C unit that chills the compact cabin quite effectively. And speaking of blending old and new, check out how neatly the modern Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo head unit slots into the steel dash, almost like it was supposed to be there. Carpets and floor mats help control noise and heat inside and look great. In a truck like this, performance isn\'t paramount, but you do need torque and reliability, even if it\'s just a hobby vehicle. The small block Chevy 307 under the hood neatly fills the bill, with a 2-barrel carburetor for efficiency and a snarky dual exhaust system that adds some fun. There are several upgrades aimed at improving the driving experience, including the dual reservoir master cylinder with power booster, a modern A/C compressor with R134a refrigerant inside, and front disc brakes. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds the original rear end, which is still hanging on those massive control arms and coil springs, so it actually rides remarkably well. Flashy chrome wheels with baby moon hubcaps are a favorite old-school look, but wear fat 255/70/15 rubber for just a bit of an edge. This is just a neat old truck with a bunch of smart upgrades. The fact that it also looks great and attracts attention for its great blend of styling is merely icing on the cake. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. Call today! Are trucks the new muscle car? This stunning 1966 Chevy C10 makes an impressive argument. With a built small block, a 4-speed, and bright red paint, it fits the bill and definitely delivers the goods. The regular cab/short bed combination is the one you want if performance is your goal in a pickup, with a few tasteful upgrades, this one looks menacing without radical mods. With classic proportions and a nose-down attitude, it looks fast and functional at the same time. Workmanship is excellent throughout, and you know someone spent a lot of time to get this one right. Completed in 2012, the paint is definitely vivid, which you\'d expect from a truck that has won as many trophies as this one has, and the bright GM Victory Red suits the pickup perfectly. These trucks also offer a bunch of neat details, like the mini \"spoiler\" on the rear of the cab, hood-mounted parking lights, and just enough chrome to make it sparkle. Experts will note that\'s a 1956 Chevy hood ornament, but it seems to look right at home here. And no pickup is worth its trailer hitch without a functional bed, with this one finished and ready to work with a spray-in bedliner. The interior has a definitely muscle car vibe going on with low-back bucket seats and a Hurst shifter atop a Saginaw 4-speed manual gearbox. The original bench seat has been ditched in favor of leather-wrapped buckets from a 1965 Buick Riviera, and there are new black carpets on the floor, replacing the original rubber mat. Original gauges are grouped behind a single pane with all the markings stenciled on, so it looks custom all by itself. Auxiliary gauges, including a tachometer, have been neatly installed bwlow the dash and that\'s a state-of-the-art AM/FM/iPod stereo head unit there in the center. Vintage Air A/C was added during the build, with controls that look like they were born there and some low-profile vents under the dash and there\'s an Ididit tilt column and a custom wheel, so it\'s easy to get comfortable. With all the upgrades, this truck is as comfortable as a modern machine, yet moves like a muscle car. The reason for that dual nature is the built 350 under the hood, which makes plenty of power but is equally happy idling in rush hour traffic thanks to a giant aluminum radiator and a mild cam. Fuel comes from an Edelbrock 750 carburetor atop an aluminum intake manifold. Gorgeous ceramic-coated long-tube headers feed an X-pipe and custom Magnaflow stainless exhaust system that tucks the mufflers way up under the bed for great ground clearance. The stock rear end carries 4.10 gears and still hangs on long control arms and coil springs, but with an aftermarket sway bar and new shocks, it doesn\'t handle like an old pickup any longer. Black painted 6-lug Rallys wear hubcaps and trim rings, along with staggered 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear tires that really fill the fenders. Is it a Camaro with a bed or a truck with moves like a Chevelle? Either way, it\'s incredibly cool. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom.
