1967 Kaiser-Willys Jeep CJ5 Universal.Buick Dauntless 225 V6. T-98a 4 spd trans.Single family owned since original purchase.Frame off restore in 2001 including engine rebuild. Driven less than 1500 miles since then. This Jeep is mildly modified with a 4 lift and 33 tires. Normal wear parts have been upgraded beyond original spec where possible, and protective hardware added to protect the substantial sheet metal investment, but otherwise it is in original stock form.Features:1. Uncommon for 67, optional and now highly sought-after by the collector and 4-wheelin crowds alike, a T-98a \'granny gear\' 6.34 four speed factory transmission. Designed for low speeds, this trans option was typically customer ordered in early CJs for agricultural and forestry applications. The advantage to this transmission is the 1st gear. Overall gearing of the T-98 in 1st gear, with the transfer case in 4x high range, is roughly equivalent to 1st gear of a T-90 3 speed with the transfer case in 4x low range. Putting the transfer case in low range and the T-98 in 1st gear gives one a \'compound ridiculous low\' that excels at going slowly over difficult terrain. 2. Rare original option single speed top mount electric wipers.3. Classic Tube stainless steel custom made brake lines all around, matching original bends, and utilizing the original stock clips and retainers. No more replacing rotten rusted lines, these are good for life. Now at 14 yrs old, they look like they just came out of the box.4. All new brake hardware, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, spring kits. Includes the e-brake system and new cable. Master cylinder.5. Locrite automatic locking differential in rear axle.6. New sheet metal includes the main body tub, with correct for 67 under seat fuel tank neck opening, plus both fenders, tailgate, windshield frame. The hood and grill are original and solid.7. New windshield glass and seal.8. Engine rebuilt %26 repainted the correct factory Buick Green with POR-15, and a set of 3, extremely rare factory engine and oil bath air cleaner tri-color decals applied (Jeep Dauntless V6). All engine parts complete, correct, original vintage.9. Upgrade to GM alternator, custom built for high output. (400 vs orig 63 amp, for the winch)10. Warn 8000i winch and mount kit. 100 cable. Cover. Remote control. Roller fairlead. Warn recovery kit with chain, tree strap, snatch block, D-ring, carry case.11. Walcks custom built replacement wiring harness. Wiring key and map, with notes specific to 67 jeep builds, will be included. All the directional and tail light housings, bulbs, lenses are new and correct. The felt seals around the steering knuckles are new. All new grease, gear oils throughout the vehicle.29. 4x4 selector is stock---manual, on the floor. Besides normal ranges, allows 2x4 high/low (4x4 selector engaged in high or low range with front hubs disengaged), and full neutral/disengage for towing.Basically every gasket, seal, moving part, and bolt was replaced, most replaced with stainless or grade 8 hardware. Every part was cleaned and refurbed/rebuilt, or replaced, the usual weak parts like u-joints upgraded for the rigors of off road use.Recent acquisitions, since 8/1/15, to bring it to completion:1. After 15 yrs of looking, finally found a NOS 4 pole single speed wiper switch, like new in the original package for the original top mount non synchronized electric motors. A switch that is so rare as to be nearly non existent and Id given up hope of ever finding one. Installed, the wipers are working like new. Also picked up a nice pair of new and correct Trico 9 stainless blades at the same time.2. The rubber reinforced cloth/rope fresh air hose from grill to airbox/heater core. Came with new stainless clamps but I put the original black ones back on. A great piece to replace the long gone original, it looks terrific and draws the eye. Completes the under hood scene. 3. A new 4 speed odometer/speedo cable. Long out of production, Crown is finally reproducing. Also a new Crown speedo/instrument cluster unit with zero miles (Orig miles are 44K and counting)4. Another super rare onethis part is not in any Jeep parts or build book anywhere, so it is especially hard to locate by description onlyyet the guy I found knew exactly what I was talking about as his CJ has one too, and he had one to sellthe black protective edge guard that goes on the hood gutter on the cowl front edge, above the firewall. Protected mechanics and customers from the sharp metal edge, came on some early CJs, not on others, seemingly random. This Jeep had it, it was pretty ratty and I tossed it in 01 thinking I could find another was I wrong. Nice to have one again as it dresses up the gutter edge nicely.5. A new original style (Crown repro) 3 spoke 17 diam. steering wheel, Horn button kit as well. 6. Windshield top mounted hood standoff bumpers rebuilt (for windshield in the down position, resting on hood)cloth retainers for original rubber bumpers found and replaced. 7. A pair of original style, 74 low back CJ5 seats (in exceptional condition for their age) have replaced the Corbeau high back bucket seats that had been in it, and the 5 point MasterCraft restraint system was left in, as this Jeep had no seat belts originally. The new seats have had Best-Top covers on them for all their years in storage, also in fine condition, which explains the unusually good condition of the seats themselves. These seats are functionally and visually correct for 67, and are mounted on the original 67 frames without modification to seat or frame. The passenger seat folds in half forward, and the frame pivots at the front, to allow access to the toolbox underneath, and as the Fed Govt mandated in 68 and later years in addition to seat belts, theres a double sided hook as part of the seat in 74-76 CJs to latch it to the floor in the rear, and to prevent the seat from folding or frame pivoting forward in a collision as the 67 and prior years seats did. Also installed is a 74 seat retainer eyebolt.NO TRADES*****Credit Cards-MASTERCARD, VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, CASH or CASHIER CHECK****** Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
