This car has been in mine and one other family for 34 years. During that time it has been garaged and started once in awhile, it has not been driven more than 200 miles during that time. the miles show 9400 +/-. It is very hard to determine if they are original or not, the car is very clean and the pedals don't show 100,000 miles of use no way to prove either way but look at it and decide for yourself. The story we were told from the original owner when the car was bought was that he bought it new and only drag raced it at the local track in the 60's and then stored it. The motor is not original and its been awhile since I dug up the numbers, but I think it is a late 60's 350. a few years ago I replaced the wheel cylinders and master cylinder to make the car drivable, I put maybe 40 miles on it, it still runs strong and does not smoke, The speedometer cable was squeaking and quit working. Under the hood is very clean and the car does not show to have had anything messed with other than the motor replaced. It does look to have had a re spray at some point but know signs of any kind of wreck, very straight. inside the trunk is very clean and original. I have not washed or cleaned this car in years, it is presented as it is. I do have the original tires and wheels and hub caps. When I say original tires they may not be original but are bias ply not radials. Now for the bad on the car. It is 90% or better rust free. I want to be clear on this description Since the only negative feedback was from a feller that expected a 50,000 show car for 8,000. The underneath of the car is very solid with mainly surface rust. It does have some rust on both rear body mounts behind the rear tires. It also has some on both sides at the end by the rocker panels on a body cross brace. the rockers may have a slight amount but solid for the most part, again everyone has a different opinion, but the car is by know means a rust bucket it is solid.

This is an extremely clean Bug. The mileage shows 34,000 and could be original the car is that nice, the doors shut tight and the body is great, no signs anywhere that it has been wrecked. The floor pans are excellent. The paint looks to have either been re sprayed or touched up at some point. I do not believe it is the original engine. I replaced the rear shocks, front struts and added disc brakes on the front. The tires and wheels are new as is the spare tire. I have the original wheels and hub caps and all the original front brake components. I have all new electronic ignition conversion that has not been installed and a few tune items. The car drives great. The only thing wrong that hasn't been fixed is there is a short in the oil sending unit light. It stays on all the time unless the headlights are on. It doesn't matter if you unplug the wire from the oil pressure sender or not. The engine does have oil pressure and runs fine. If your looking for a clean bug this is it. I have for sale a 1984 300zx Turbo. Only 140k miles. The good: A working turbo. The car runs like a champ. Absolutely glides at 75 mph. I have driven it to work several times with zero issues. It's a 50 mile round trip. New tires. The bad, and it's all minor: Needs a new antenna. Front right headlight doesn't come on, but high beam does. Cruise control, of course, doesn't work. It blows cold(ish) air, but I believe the AC could use a recharge and the vacuum hoses probably need to be replaced. Some minor cracking of the dash behind steering wheel.
