It is a 2 owner car, the previous owner was an older couple who kept all of the records (as have I) and took very good care of it, then their son owned for a time with the same care. 1979 Chevy 3500 Flatbed Car Hauler Carrier 1979 Chevy 3500 Flatbed Car Hauler/Carrier. This truck started its life as an ambulance in Florida, and was taken to New York and converted into an extra-large flatbed car hauler by an auto shop with some modification. The frame was lengthened to accommodate the large bed, the cab modified, and the diesel engine replaced by a rebuilt 350 V8. I use this truck every now and then, but it's really way too large for my needs these days. Fires right up and runs great. I just replaced the fuel pump and filter - it has been my only issue taking this truck anywhere I want to go This is not a rollback, but rather a heavy duty diamond steel flatbed with ramps. Being not a rollback is a plus for me - less maintenance and things to work on. I've hauled cars on this and it has no problem in doing so. Includes a heavy winch for pulling cars up and lowering them. I added removable stakesides to haul other things as well. They are heavy but will lift off. I also added dual tanks to increase driving distance for long hauls. Being from Florida and living there most of its life, it has little in the way of rust - some surface on the underside and a bit around the front wheel wells. The body has a few minor dings but otherwise in great shape. A few downsides - speedometer doesn't work (I don't think it was ever hooked up after the engine conversion), the heater core is not hooked up, the hood close is a little awkward, and the heater fan will squeal a little when it first starts up. Radio works, but needs speakers. Really not bad considering the age of the vehicle. Clean TN title. Currently located in Beaver Dam, WI. Please feel free to email me with any questions. This car is from Tennessee and front and rear frame rails are solid, floors and trunk are solid,Car has a new headliner and new carpet installed and also has a new gas tank and sending unit. IT NEEDS: seats recovered, (rear seat is good) new window weather stripping, passenger seat needs to be bolted in,new paint, front alignment, carb rebuild, Engine starts and seems to run good although the automatic choke isn't hooked up. Transmission shifts good but I only drove it around the block a few times and didn't take it out on the highway because it needs a front alignment and didn't want to mess up the new front tires. The previous owner replaced some front steering and suspension parts so the alignment is off. Front drivers side fender has a dent that someone pounded out, passenger door and rear passenger quarter panel have dents in them. Car has rust in fenders.... rear quarters and other areas as seen in the pictures. You should view the car in person before bidding. SOLD AS IS NO WARRANTY.

I also have a factory STI axle back exhaust as well as blue STI carpet for the car if the buyer wants them at time of sale.Timing belt, water pump, and pulley set is new 10k miles ago. All required service has been done at local dealer when required.
