The engine is the original 289 eng that was rebuilt 3k miles ago and runs like new with absolutely no smoke or noises of any kind! Original C code car V8. The paint is great driver quality with some crazing on the top of the front fenders, or checking as they call it, as it is now 15 years old. Other than that the paint has held up very well as there are minimal issues in the paint as far as scratches, nicks and chips. A good polish would really wake it up instantly! From 6 feet away the paint is a 9 out of 10! The chrome is beautiful, wheels are the same and tires have 70% tread left. The conv. top is very nice with 2 piece rear glass window, the interior is beautiful and the trunk and floors are great as you can see! You can drive this car to California tomorrow if you so desired! Overall just a great solid driver with no major issues and ready to enjoy the minute it is in your possession! This is my very nice 63 split window in Sebring Silver with mostly orig black interior and has a period correct (1966) 327 engine in it now, BUT I HAVE A 1963 327/300 RD (RD = 300hp manual transmission) running motor in another car that I could make available. I strongly believe this car has 47k miles as it sat in a new car dealers showroom, in the corner, for 28 years in Virginia and there are some signs of original mileage! (i.e. mostly orig interior, orig master cyl., appears to orig shocks etc) My friend purchased the car 3 years ago and put it on the road to use and just never used it. I told him that I would buy it when he was ready to sell (I buy everything from him...lol) so I got it and used it 3 times! lol... I have a business opportunity that I would like to invest in so now I am selling it! Between the two of us we put about $5k into it just to make it fun and safe to drive so it does run and drive well...as well as a pretty original 1963 corvette will drive. Last year the brake pedal seemed a little lower then I thought it should be but had it checked out twice and it was said to be fine and believed to be the original master cylinder so I left it alone. It might be a little lower now than it was then so I would have it checked again by your guy before driving it cross country! The car is def believed to be Original Shocks w/ Large Bumper Stop, Double Exhaust Hanger, Carpet, Glove Box, Center Console, Shielding, Steering Wheel, Carburetor, Air Cleaner and I am sure that there is more that I am leaving out! The paint was done 3 years ago when my friend got it to driver quality standards and looks great keeping in mind that he didn't pay $25k for it but it was the second paint job ever and he paid $8500 for it. I am pretty picky when it comes to paint so calling me to describe it is best but understand that it is a nice driver that isn't going to win Pebble Beach this year! It has typical small blemishes and a stress crack here and there maybe 3-4 of them. It is also priced realistically well under $80k! The chrome is pretty nice all around and the trim around the split window is nice and fits nicely as well! (I have seen some disasters as far as that goes). The headlights work almost perfectly...the drivers side one is lazy every so often on opening but both close perfectly. I think it needs lube. The clock and the tach are not working presently but the tack worked up until last week when the distributor needed a new hold down so I think it is just kinked and could possibly be fixed before the car is sold. The frame has no rot or rust and I think it is original from front to back with no repairs. It seems very nice and is pictured heavily! I believe that the body panels are original but could have had a repair or two in its 52 years with us on earth. Please keep in mind that I am not selling a 100pt NCRS TOP flight Duntov award car here! The knockoffs are definitely assumed to be reproductions but I have no idea how to tell a real wheel from a repro wheel. They are in good shape and definitely not perfect! 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7 in very good condition other than the right head has dropped a valve seat on # 2 cylinder . Rebuilt upgraded heads are aprox. $450.This motor had a early design flaw that affected the #1 and #2 cylinders with a lack of cooling which caused the "loose tolerance" valve seats to fall out.The rebuilt heads available have this problem solved. The Jeep runs enough to drive it onto a flatbed or trailer. The good points are that it has a new power steering pump,new rear brakes with new drums and a brand new fuel pump with less than 1 hour on it.( originally thought fuel pump was bad while my son was in school in Philadelphia but it turned out to be the valve seat).It also has new rear tires. Inspection of # 2 cylinder with a bore scope shows that the piston top and cylinder walls appeared good with some valve seat material sitting on top.The jeep has been in our family for some time and has been great,i have too many things to work on ( Lotus Turbo Esprit,TVR ect...) and just don't have the time to swap the head.The 4 wheel drive works great and my son used this as his daily driver for 6 years with myself doing all of the fluid changes ( Mobil 1) and maintenance.The Jeep is straight as an arrow and never been bent.Some minor rust on the bottom of drivers door. The previous owner were an elderly couple from here on Long Island.I would love for you to come and take a look at it before buying and feel free to contact me with any questions.Anyone with less than 10 feedback please contact me before bidding , the jeep is a great deal @ this price for someone. Florida cars have NEVER seen a pot hole or rough roads so they drive incredible because the shocks, front ends and body bushings do not get abused making them much better cars to drive!!! Not to mention that the Florida car hasn't seen any road salt either so there has never been any rust in this car! It is an LX 5.0 engine with 5 speed manual trans. which I would strongly believe are original to the car. The shifter is a close ratio aftermarket shifter that is crisp and shifts beautifully! It is a 1989 LX. The top is very very nice but a little dirty (could use light cleaning), interior is very nice (ALMOST LIKE NEW) and was redone 3k miles ago and overall the car is absolutely exc. I am a car collector and had no intentions of buying this, but when I saw it I just had to have it because of my car buying disease! lol It has pretty much every option and needs nothing for the most part! It is one of the cleanest ones you will find with anywhere near these miles and cleaner then most 30k mile cars! It does need the driver door most forward molding put on which have new and comes with car. It is the molding right in front of the mirror on top of the door.
