For sale is a 1955 Ford Thunderbird for restoration. V8, automatic, p/b, p/w, radio. The frame, firewall, and fender wells have already been cleaned and painted. The body, floors, rocker panels, rear wheel wells, truink are in nice condition. The floors have some surface rust, but are solid and no holes. The dashboard is very nice. The dash pad is clean and smooth. The speedometer face and globe are nice, no cracks or fading. The engine was last run about 2 years ago. The left front fender has some bondo in it, but the fender does look straight. The car does need total restoration, paint, new interior, wiring, etc. The bumpers are not chrome, but are painted. The front bumper guards and inserts are made of "cast" and are very heavy. The cast guards are rare and not made by Ford. The car is probably about 90% complete. I have several boxes of parts that were taken off of the car in preperation for a total restoration. Unfortunately the former owner passed away before he could complete his dream. This car is an excellent car for restoration. It does NOT have the usual rust,IE. floors, rocker panels, around the rear wheel wells, etc. It comes with the hard top only. The hard top is in nice condition. The glass and trim is all there. It does need a new headliner. The fender skirts appear to be after market. They have new weather stripping and new staples and are not painted. The car is being sold "AS-IS, no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I don't have the time or resources to restore this car. I already have two projects going and only have a two car garage. So something has to go. I am selling my refurbished/modified (1967 Chevelle SS Clone). It has a 1971 Chevy 350 small block, bored .30 over making it a 355. The engine when rebuilt has Camel back heads out of a 1968 327 Chevy. The compression ratio is 10.5 to 1 with flat top 194 pistons, plus hydraulic lifters and double springs on the valves, plus a TRW-470 lift com cam. The engine rebuild was done professionally at a local engine speed shop. Engine has approximately 500 miles on it. The odometer shows 89,000 miles. Edelbrock high rise aluminum intake manifold. Holley 750 four barrel double pump carburetor. Doug headers. 3 in exhaust pipe with Flowmaster mufflers. New Crager wheels. Front wheels are 7 in. wide with 235/60R/15 tires. Rear wheels are 8 in. wide with 275/60R/15 tires. 10 bolt rear end with 3.08 gears. Front and rear coil springs are SS. Fiberglass SS hood with new chrome hood louvers. SS emblems on complete car, inside and out. Color of the car is 1967 Corvette Yellow with Polyurethane paint, then wet sanded and buffed. Transmission is an auto 3 speed 350 Turbo. A new H.E.I.
