This is my 1996 Cadillac STS. I have owned this car for around 10 years. The car is used every day for local driving and it takes me to and from work. I quit fixing things on it a while back. It is time for another car. This car will need a good bit of work and money invested if you plan to run it. It is a good candidate for a custom lowrider or as a parts car. The car is without a doubt, the fastest, most powerful running engine I have ever owned. For some reason, this particular year was fast. I have actually had people say to me ( Oh, thats the one that runs). It is easier for me to list all the things that don't work, rather than try and list all the options on the car. If you have an interest in a particular option, send me an email and I will answer you ASAP. To start; The exhaust is missing from behind the front seats to the tailpipes. (This thing needs 2 mufflers). The front bumper has a crack in it. The car uses oil and has from the day I bought it, if you run it hard, you have to keep a check on the oil. In normal running, no smoke is visible, but if you put the pedal to the floor you can see some smoke the first time, subsequent floorings will show no smoke. Transmission fluid is leaking but I am not sure from where. The left rear window will not go down, this stopped working a year ago, the left front window works all the time unless you put it completely down, and then it may not want to come back up( not always)I think the switches in the door are bad, they have been rained on a few times. The 12 cd player quit about a year ago and I did try to fix it but eventually threw it in the can. All 4 struts and shocks are shot and need replaced if you run it. The 2 front tires are shot ( probably from bad struts). I do have 2 tires to put on that are better(I may have these on soon anyway) The motor was putting out some white smoke over a year ago so I took it to the garage and they fixed it. No sign of any white smoke since. This car has a lot of problems that need time and some money thrown at it but for the money I'm asking, I think it's a good project. It still nails you to the seat when you put it to the floor, and the torque wants to pull the wheel out of your hand. The body as you can see(except the bumper)is rust free. There are the standard door dings and stone chips and scratches. The underbody does have rust though. Come look at it. I will take you for a spin and you can decide then. This is a Cadillac, so you know what all the options on these cars are, If I didn't mention it as not working, it works. These cars were the top luxury vehicle in the US at the time. Free and clear title, Title change can be done 15 minutes from my house. We can drive the car out there to have it done. Cash or Bank Check are the only payments I will accept. I am listing the car for the coming 10 days only, if it doesn't sell, I will just take my time and bring it back into viability over time. This car has about 70,000 showing but I replaced the original speedo with another cluster. The old cluster had about 84000 on it. The used one I replaced it with had 52,000, so I figure the car has just about 100,000 on it total. If you want to come have a look email me and we can make arrangements. I would venture to say, once the tires are replaced, you could drive this anywhere you want to go to get it home. No overheating and runs strong, but sounds like a 427 Vette coming down the road.
