This car has absolutely no issues and had never been crashed or wrecked!This is a BRAND NEW 2015 Cadillac SRX with only 69 TOTAL miles on it! This car was on a test drive and was driven quickly through shallow standing water. This caused a wave of water in front of the car to become ingested and lock the engine. NO WATER entered the car! There was no water inside the transmission either. The dealer chose to make a claim on their insurance for the car instead of trying to sell a brand new car with a (non original) "new engine". Due to the claim, the title was then branded as a "salvage title": meaning the car would have to be repaired by a qualified shop and inspected by the state before being allowed on the road again. This car is NOT a Flood car and has no history of flood on the title as water never entered the interior. The dealer then sold the car at auction where I purchased it.I replaced the engine with one out of a wrecked car I was able to locate with just under 1500 miles on it. I could have paid less for a higher mileage engine but wanted to maintain the integrity of the vehicle. The car was inspected and cleared by the state. The title has now been changed to "rebuilt": meaning anyone can purchase it and register it without issue. The CUE screen (navigation display) was just replaced under factory warranty (common issue)!
