Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance Sedan 4-Door 5.0 Was a one owner car until I had filed for lost title due to owners death and title was not located. I bought the car with 41000 original miles with original sales receipt from dealer and I have all registrations insurance renewals and repair ticket for the car from 1986 to current very clean inside and out but still needs work due to the fact car was parked since 2004. since I bought it I have put in a new gas tank all new tires engine flush and fluid change new belts and drove the car from Shreveport Louisiana to El paso TX 860 mile one way trip. car will need work on all chrome to either re polish or re chrome but I have sourced a used front bumper grille and wheel trim. car starts and runs drives with good brakes cold ac and cruise control but horn and windshield wipers do not work, Radio works but not the cassette player does not and antenna was disconnected because it kept running. It will require further detailing cleaning of engine compartment and other areas but the car still is very Respectful project that gets lots of attention and complements when I drive it. Showing just over 50,000 original miles, loaded with options, and still carrying the ultimate in '50s fins, this is the car for the guy who knows what style is. Dover White looks awesome on the massive Cadillac, which stretches more than 19 feet long. It's most definitely a product of the anything-goes 1950s, and there's simply nothing else that makes a statement like the fins on the back of this big sedan. A recent re-paint gives it a sparkling presentation with ultra-straight sheetmetal with no nasty surprises hiding underneath (it really is as straight as it looks), although the Gotham Gold roof may have been added at that time. Then again, the special order interior might suggest this is how it has always been. Either way, all four doors fit well, and since this is the desirable 4-door hardtop without pillars between the doors, it has a very sleek, finished look. All the chrome and stainless trim remains in excellent condition, too, and that's good news given the cost of chrome restoration, especially since that grille is made up of hundreds of separate little pieces. The Soft-Ray glass looks period perfect and is a nice touch on an air-conditioned car like this. The two-tone white leather and gold cloth interior is believed to be 100% original, and the "SO" marking on the trim tag suggests that it was a special order. The cloth inserts are durable fabric with pleats and tufted buttons, plus the original arm rests in the center of the bench seats. The futuristic wrap-around instrument panel is pure jet-age styling and the original steering wheel is two-tone with a bit of chrome for an upscale feel. With a long list of options including power windows, a power front seat, and an AM radio, plus Vintage Air A/C that was very neatly integrated into the original dash, it's a pleasure to drive regardless of the weather. There's stretch-out room for everyone, particularly in back where accommodations like this are only found in stretch limos these days. And yes, the trunk is every bit as massive as you'd expect, with plaid mats and what might be the original spare tire. Cadillac's 390 cubic inch V8 was among the most powerful engines on the market in 1959, and moves all 19 feet of 60 Special with east. Like the exterior, it's probably been freshened but they stuck to the original recipe. There's Cadillac Blue paint on the block itself, a stock air cleaner assembly, and even that Vintage Air A/C compressor looks period-perfect, a nice touch. Power steering and brakes make it easy to wheel around in parking lots (as long as you have a spotter!) and the Hydramatic 4-speed automatic transmission is about as durable as they come. A brand new dual exhaust system gives it a muscular hum that's entirely appropriate and those years in a museum were certainly kind to the undercarriage, which remains in outstanding condition. 15-inch steel wheels with factory hubcaps and new 235/75/15 BFGoodrich Silvertown wide whitewall radials complete a very impressive package. A big, impressive Cadillac with monstrous fins and a bit of style. First-class travel never looked this good. A nice combination of originality and restored components, it's a big Full Classic with V8 power, lots of luxury, and room for the whole family. Not many post-war cars can compete with this one for sheer elegance on wheels. Make no mistake, this is a truly mammoth car, but the proportions and particularly the swept-back windshield gives it a sleek '40s look that works quite well as a limousine. There's plenty of room, plenty of power, and a very impressive look. Of course, Cadillacs always look best in black, and the refinished sheetmetal on this big sedan looks suitably upscale and serious, with a great gloss and straight bodywork that shines up beautifully. The '47s were little changed from 1946, mostly because Cadillac was selling every single car they could build, even giants like this, and all the gleaming stainless and chrome trim is in very good condition. You'll also note that these were some of the very last cars to use running boards, which are handy steps that make getting in and out easy, even for ladies in formal attire. Technically, this isn't a limousine, but rather a 7-passenger touring sedan, a distinction related to the lack of a divider window for the rear compartment. Nevertheless, the interior is sumptuous and well-appointed, using comfortable tan fabric on both the front and rear seats (the front seat was typically leather in limousines, since the chauffeur might be greasy), as well as on the two jump seats. It's correctly stitched in a pillow-tufted pattern and most of that wood you see inside is real wood, particularly on the window sills and wrapping around the back of the front seat back. The oversized steering wheel makes handling the big sedan easy and it's surprisingly light on its feet, particularly with the Hydra-Matic automatic transmission at work. A full array of gauges, an AM radio (sadly not functional) and even power windows are all the mark of a top-of-the-line car. Even the massive trunk is nicely finished with form-fitting carpets and a full-sized whitewall spare. Cadillac's robust 346 cubic inch flathead V8 was the sole engine available in 1947, but it's a good one. With strong torque, proper gearing, and that slick Hydra-Matic transmission working for you, this car isn't as slow as you'd think and cruises easily at highway speeds. The engine starts easily and has a nice V8 burble from the single exhaust pipe out back and it's correctly detailed with green paint, cloth hoses, and an oil bath air cleaner up top. Thanks to duty in WWII in Sherman tanks, the powertrain is literally bulletproof and parts are readily available, so don't worry about hitting the road with this one. The front brakes have been upgraded to discs, so stopping power is rather impressive, but beyond that it's stock so it has a great 1940s feel. The undercarriage is quite original, but the lack of undercoating and serious issues suggest a long, healthy life someplace warm, and there's plenty of evidence that there's recent work on the mechanicals, including a rebuilt transmission. And no big Cadillac is complete without a set of wide whites, with these surrounding a set of handsome Cadillac "sombrero" hubcaps. Perfect for a livery business (brides LOVE these big cars!) or for your next CCCA Caravan, this big Cadillac offers luxury the old fashioned way. The car has a powerful front wheel drive transverse V8 engine.It fires up and purrs perfectly.We recently replaced the entire A/C system, the compressor, hoses, front condenser, everything.The automated climate control works great and blows cold.All of the windows and locks work.We also just put all new shocks/struts on it.** NEW Energizer Brand 3-Year Battery from Sams installed today **The car originally had keyless entry but we have lost the remote, however you can get a new one. The car drives powerful, quiet, smooth and straight.Come drive it and you will say "it drives like a Cadillac!" Disclosure: The headliner is hanging a bit and needs to be replaced, I was given estimates of $100-$200 to have it repaired. There is a scrape/dent on the drivers side rear that has knocked off the plastic lower, we have the part and it can be re-installed. Replacements can be found for about $100.The drivers front fender has a dent/puncture in it. You can find used fenders for about $100-$200.If I took the time to fix all these issues I would ask double for this car. Do it yourself or leave alone.The car drives great. It's all just cosmetic.

This is 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Last of the great big body American sedans. I purchased this vehicle in El Paso, TX from a dealer 8 years ago. This was my daily driver, never been in a major accident, and the car does have some cosmetic damages that you can see in the pictures. This car does need some work, but it has a very strong engine, brand new battery, completely rebuilt transmission done by Aamco. It still gets a lot of attention, and drives very smooth. The known issues that I am aware of (besides the damages in the pics), are as follows:Oil Leak (what 20 year old car doesn't)Electrial issue- The car starts and runs perfectly, but the display does not work (speedometer, mileage, gas level). The mileage I listed at 200k is an ESTIMATE based on the last time I saw it which was at 186k. The warning lights still display. Inside lights will come on randomly at times, other times it isn't an issue. The headlights work fine, as well as parking lights, break up and reverse lights. The turn signal lights do not come on. This could be as simple as new fuses, but I have not checked this out. A/C does not work, it will need a new unit including blower. This also goes for the heater.Back window on the drivers side will get stuck if you roll it all the way down. Any other questions you have please send me a message.
