This is an exceptional vehicle. 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham riding on adjustable airbags. I tried to get pictures of it raised and lowered for comparison. This Cadillac only has 66,952 original miles. How do I know? Because this vehicle comes with every piece of documentation since new, to include its original window sticker. It's been garage kept its whole life, which is how the vinyl top and interior have remained in perfect, flawless condition. It has the original Cadillac 425 cubic inch engine that fires right up without hesitation. 4-barrel carburetor, posi rear end, super coils and independently adjustable front and rear air bags make up some of the vehicles performance. The airbags are powered by 2 compressors and have 2 air tanks installed by “Quiet to Riot Customs”. They are controlled on the console. You can raise and lower the car while driving down the road. This car will go so low that it will rest on the ground. The only significant rust on this virtually rust free car is the rear bumper. There is some minor random oxidation here and there, but it’s surface and not invasive. Floorboards and frame are solid. It has a new gas tank and sending unit, so everything gas touches is clean. I regretfully need to sell because I have some home repairs that take priority. But if I were to keep this car, I would change the following things. The white walls are painted on. I’d get real white walls, but these tires are practically new and hardly show wear so I couldn’t really justify it yet. Paint has some blemishes here and there. Couple scrapes and a ding. This car is a touch up paint job away from being a genuine show car. Quiet to Riot customs ends the exhaust just past the catalytic converter. Gives it a great note, but a bit too loud for my taste. I’d run the exhaust past the rear axle. Interior is in mint condition with the exception of the drivers door where the window controls are is cracked. Also there’s some cracking on the speedometer. Headliner is flawless as well as the seats carpet and dashboard. This vehicle still has the original floor mats and first aid kit that came with the car! This car came with a factory GM OEM CB radio that still works. The original FCC permit is included in all the documents. There’s a small chip in the windshield. I tried getting a picture but it just wasn’t showing up. I’d also replace the oil pan gasket at the next oil change. I noticed some seeping at the gasket when I was looking over it before listing it. I’m trying to disclose every little potential flaw, but this car really is a gem and it’s a fun reliable driver. Get in and go for a cruise, or just stand back and look at it. Either way, it’s a good time. Mileage may slightly change because I occasionally take it out on a nice day to keep the blood moving in it. Feel free to ask any questions or for more pictures. No rust no fading on the original leather top. I assume it has been painted at some point because of the vintage shape it is in but I was told no rust holes or patchwork has been done to this automobile. I had the crush kits behind the bumper replaced and painted due to age and that is the only thing done to it. It has the original 8 track and CB ordered from the factory. I purchased it this past summer from the original owner’s son. His father ordered it new at Johnson Motors in Dubois, PA. This is finished in a beautiful Cotillion White with contrasting blue pinstripe, and dark blue interior, with less than 29,000 original miles. It has many options, including dual vanity mirrors, automatic dimming rearview mirror, heated mirrors, dual reclining/power seats, power pull down trunk, factory AM/FM Cassette Stereo, automatic leveling rear shocks, 4-note trumpet horn, twilight sentinel, and wire wheel discs. Everything works except the power antenna and the cassette player (but radio works fine). However, included with the car is a GM replacement power antenna….it just needs installed. Everything else works, even the opera lamps still shine bright. It has the desirable 5.7 fuel injected engine package, which included heavy duty cooling and alternator, among other things. This package was meant for towing, but this one never had a hitch. These engines will run forever with proper care and maintenance. It was never driven in the winter….the underneath is proof. I have the original owner’s manuals along with both sets of “gold” keys along with a 3rd original set of standard GM keys too. Exterior: No dents or dings to speak of. Paint is almost perfect, in my opinion. No rust under the doors. Chrome and stainless steel trim are very good and still shines brightly. Vinyl top is very good and mostly clean. I noticed a very small gap between the vinyl and the passenger side beltline molding, below the Cadillac wreath. Not noticeable unless you look for it up close (see pics). Not sure how that happened…might have been a factory defect?? Also, a couple minor nicks exist on the lower plastic moldings. No curb rash to speak of on the hub caps. The underbody is incredibly clean. It barely has any surface scale that one would normally find on a chassis of a newer vehicle. Never driven in the winter. No doubt this was garage-kept most of its life. The only flaw, which is minor in my opinion, is that it appears that the right rear quarter panel has been resprayed at one point. This section is smooth and has no evidence of sand marks, overspray or orange peel. Perhaps this was repaired by the dealer when new? The prior owner claimed it was never in an accident. My father used to work for a Cadillac dealer in the 1980's and said often times cars would come in from the factory with minor blemishes that required paint work, so who knows. There is absolutely no bondo and no rust anywhere in this repair or anywhere else. Interior: The blue cloth is very comfortable. No stains, rips, or tears of any kind. Never smoked in – cigarette lighter never used. Headliner and sail panels do not sag anywhere. Dash board and door panels are not cracked. No fading of any sort. Carpets are clean and very soft. Even the mats are in great shape. Trunk is clean too. The interior is in excellent shape. Mechanical: It passed the rigorous PA safety inspection and is good through June 2016. Brand new tires installed in August – all 4. A/C blows cold – still has the good old R-12 refrigerant. The garage floor is dry after sitting for several days at a time. Does not leak anywhere to my knowledge. I believe the hoses and belts are still original; but they appear to be in good shape. The oil and filter was just changed. Tranny fluid still looks good, too. The car steers tight, tracks straight, and stops smooth. Overall: With only 29,000 miles, this is almost like a brand new car. Very well kept. I think the next owner will be very pleased with the condition of the car. Get in and drive it anywhere, in my opinion. I’ve had it for only a few months, which is typical for me. In fact, I bought 4 Broughams this summer and hope to sell each one in the next few weeks. I call it a “revolving collection”. Will also have a 75 Electra for sale, too. It’s like fishing….catch one and throw it back in the water. I only have 2 cars that I plan to keep indefinitely – a 72 Cutlass convertible that my parents bought in 1973 and a 71 Mercury Cyclone GT which is very similar to my first car. I purchased it this past summer from the original owner’s son. His father ordered it new at Johnson Motors in Dubois, PA. This is finished in a beautiful Cotillion White with contrasting blue pinstripe, and dark blue interior, with less than 29,000 original miles. It has many options, including dual vanity mirrors, automatic dimming rearview mirror, heated mirrors, dual reclining/power seats, power pull down trunk, factory AM/FM Cassette Stereo, automatic leveling rear shocks, 4-note trumpet horn, twilight sentinel, and wire wheel discs. Everything works except the power antenna and the cassette player (but radio works fine). However, included with the car is a GM replacement power antenna….it just needs installed. Everything else works, even the opera lamps still shine bright. It has the desirable 5.7 fuel injected engine package, which included heavy duty cooling and alternator, among other things. This package was meant for towing, but this one never had a hitch. These engines will run forever with proper care and maintenance. It was never driven in the winter….the underneath is proof. I have the original owner’s manuals along with both sets of “gold” keys along with a 3rd original set of standard GM keys too. Exterior: No dents or dings to speak of. Paint is almost perfect, in my opinion. The only flaw, which is minor in my opinion, is that it appears that the right rear quarter panel has been resprayed at one point. This section is smooth and has no evidence of sand marks, overspray or orange peel. In certain light you can see a very slight mismatch. Perhaps this was repaired by the dealer when new? The prior owner claimed it was never in an accident. My father used to work for a Cadillac dealer in the 1980's and said often times cars would come in from the factory with minor blemishes that required paint work, so who knows. There is absolutely no bondo and no rust anywhere in this repair or anywhere else. No rust under the doors. Chrome and stainless steel trim is very good and still shines brightly. Vinyl top is very good and mostly clean. I noticed a very small gap between the vinyl and the passenger side beltline molding, below the Cadillac wreath. Not noticeable unless you look for it up close (see pics). Not sure how that happened…might have been a factory defect?? Also, a couple minor nicks exist on the lower plastic moldings. No curb rash to speak of on the hub caps. The underbody is incredibly clean. It barely has any surface scale that one would normally find on a chassis of a newer vehicle. Never driven in the winter. No doubt this was garage-kept most of its life. Interior: The blue cloth is very comfortable. No stains, rips, or tears of any kind. Never smoked in – cigarette lighter never used. Headliner and sail panels do not sag anywhere. Dash board and door panels are not cracked. No fading of any sort. Carpets are clean and very soft. Even the mats are in great shape. Trunk is clean too. The interior is in excellent shape. Mechanical: It passed the rigorous PA safety inspection and is good through June 2016. Brand new tires installed last month – all 4. A/C blows cold – still has the good old R-12 refrigerant. The garage floor is dry after sitting for several days at a time. Does not leak anywhere to my knowledge. I believe the hoses and belts are still original; but they appear to be in good shape. The oil and filter was just changed. Tranny fluid still looks good, too. The car steers tight, tracks straight, and stops smooth. Overall: With only 29,000 miles, this is almost like a brand new car. Very well kept. I think the next owner will be very pleased with the condition of the car. Get in and drive it anywhere, in my opinion. I’ve had it for only a few months, which is typical for me. In fact, I bought 4 Broughams this summer and hope to sell each one in the next few weeks. I call it a “revolving collection”. Will also have a 75 Electra for sale, too. I purchased it this past summer from another collector who owned it for the last 15 years. He purchased it from the Cadillac dealer, in which he only put 7,000 miles during his ownership. It has spent all its life in western PA, and I think fairly safe to say any salt exposure was minimal (if at all), and appears to have been garage kept throughout its existence. This is finished in a beautiful Diplomat Blue with contrasting light blue pinstripe, and dark blue interior, with a relatively low 87,760 original miles, which is documented on the title. It has many options, including dual vanity mirrors, heated mirrors, dual reclining/power seats, power pull down trunk, Cadillac AM/FM CD Stereo (recently installed NOS from dealer, with protective sticker still on the face), automatic leveling rear shocks, 4-note trumpet horn, twilight sentinel, and wire wheel discs. Everything works, even the power antenna! Amazingly, it still wears the original style Uniroyal Tiger Paw Royal Seal gold-striped tires, which were probably installed at some point in the mid-1990’s as an exact replacement for the original set, as these have been discontinued for at least 20 years. These are very hard to find. The tires alone are worth quite a bit. I also have the original owner’s manuals. It is equipped with the tried-and-true 5.0 V-8 engine, which was a major improvement over the V-8's used in Cadillacs from the early 1980's. Exterior: No dents or dings of any kind. Paint is very nice, with some minor fading on the hood and trunk as was typical with this color. In fact, my parents bought one this same exact color brand new, was garage kept, and began to fade 2 years after they bought it. So this is no shame for the age, and is not noticeable except upon close inspection. No rust anywhere. No rust under the front doors. Rear doors had some surface scale underneath which I sanded and recoated. Chrome and stainless steel trim is very good and still shines brightly. Vinyl top is very good without tears or fading. The underbody has only minor surface scale. No doubt this has always been a garage-kept car. Interior: The blue cloth is very comfortable. No stains, rips, or tears of any kind. It does not have any evidence of smoke smell, although I noticed a couple very small spots on the front seat which might be burn holes. I cannot explain this because the cigarette lighter was never used and it still smells like a brand new car. Headliner and sail panels do not sag anywhere. Dash board and door panels are not cracked. No fading of any sort. Carpets are clean and very soft. Even the mats are in great shape. Trunk is clean too. Other than a couple minor imperfections in the driver seat, the interior is in excellent shape overall. Mechanical: It passed the rigorous PA safety inspection and is good through June 2016. A/C blows cold and was converted to R-134. The garage floor is dry after sitting for several days at a time. Does not leak anywhere to my knowledge. I believe the hoses and belts are still original; but they appear to be in good shape. The oil and filter was recently changed. Tranny fluid still looks good, too. The alternator was just replaced last month. The car steers tight, tracks straight, and stops smooth. All power equipment works great. The only problem I've noticed is the intermittent wiper control switch can sometimes act up, but the regular wiper speeds (hi, medium, low) work fine. Overall: This is one of the cleanest Cadillac’s I’ve seen. I’d say this is nicer than many cars with half the mileage. This is probably the cleanest 87,000 mile car I’ve seen in a long time. Normally I never buy cars having more than 70,000 miles, but this was an exception, because it was extremely well kept. I think the next owner will be very pleased with the condition of the car. Get in and drive it anywhere, in my opinion. However, if driving long distances I’d recommend a new set of tires due to age. However, these tires ride great even at highway speeds. As mentioned earlier, they are very collectible (and could be resold for good $$!). I’ve had this beauty for only a few months, which is typical for me. In fact, I bought 4 Broughams this summer and plan to sell each one in the next few weeks. I call it a “revolving collection”. Will also have a 75 Electra for sale, too. It’s like fishing….when you catch one and throw it back in the water. I only have 2 cars that I plan to keep indefinitely – a 72 Cutlass convertible that my parents bought in 1973 and a 71 Mercury Cyclone GT which is very similar to my first car. I purchased it this past summer from another collector who owned it for the last 15 years. He purchased it from the Cadillac dealer, in which he only put 7,000 miles during his ownership. It has spent all its life in western PA, and I think fairly safe to say any salt exposure was minimal (if at all), and appears to have been garage kept throughout its existence. This is finished in a beautiful Diplomat Blue with contrasting light blue pinstripe, and dark blue interior, with a relatively low 87,760 original miles, which is documented on the title. It has many options, including dual vanity mirrors, heated mirrors, dual reclining/power seats, power pull down trunk, Cadillac AM/FM CD Stereo (recently installed NOS from dealer, with protective sticker still on the face), automatic leveling rear shocks, 4-note trumpet horn, twilight sentinel, and wire wheel discs. Everything works, even the power antenna! Amazingly, it still wears the original style Uniroyal Tiger Paw Royal Seal gold-striped tires, which were probably installed at some point in the mid-1990’s as an exact replacement for the original set, as these have been discontinued for at least 20 years. These are very hard to find. The tires alone are worth quite a bit. I also have the original owner’s manuals. It is equipped with the tried-and-true 5.0 V-8 engine, which was a major improvement over the V-8's used in Cadillacs from the early 1980's. Exterior: No dents or dings of any kind. Paint is very nice, with some minor fading on the hood and trunk as was typical with this color. In fact, my parents bought one this same exact color brand new, was garage kept, and began to fade 2 years after they bought it. So this is no shame for the age, and is not noticeable except upon close inspection. No rust anywhere. No rust under the front doors. Rear doors had some surface scale underneath which I sanded and recoated. Chrome and stainless steel trim is very good and still shines brightly. Vinyl top is very good without tears or fading. The underbody has only minor surface scale. No doubt this has always been a garage-kept car. Interior: The blue cloth is very comfortable. No stains, rips, or tears of any kind. It does not have any evidence of smoke smell, although I noticed a couple very small spots on the front seat which might be burn holes. I cannot explain this because the cigarette lighter was never used and it still smells like a brand new car. Headliner and sail panels do not sag anywhere. Dash board and door panels are not cracked. No fading of any sort. Carpets are clean and very soft. Even the mats are in great shape. Trunk is clean too. Other than a couple minor imperfections in the driver seat, the interior is in excellent shape overall. Mechanical: It passed the rigorous PA safety inspection and is good through June 2016. A/C blows cold and was converted to R-134. The garage floor is dry after sitting for several days at a time. Does not leak anywhere to my knowledge. I believe the hoses and belts are still original; but they appear to be in good shape. The oil and filter was recently changed. Tranny fluid still looks good, too. The alternator was just replaced last month. The car steers tight, tracks straight, and stops smooth. All power equipment works great. The only problem I've noticed is the intermittent wiper control switch can sometimes act up, but the regular wiper speeds (hi, medium, low) work fine. Overall: This is one of the cleanest Cadillac’s I’ve seen. I’d say this is nicer than many cars with half the mileage. This is probably the cleanest 87,000 mile car I’ve seen in a long time. Normally I never buy cars having more than 70,000 miles, but this was an exception, because it was extremely well kept. I think the next owner will be very pleased with the condition of the car. Get in and drive it anywhere, in my opinion. However, if driving long distances I’d recommend a new set of tires due to age. However, these tires ride great even at highway speeds. As mentioned earlier, they are very collectible (and could be resold for good $$!). I’ve had this beauty for only a few months, which is typical for me. In fact, I bought 4 Broughams this summer and plan to sell each one in the next few weeks. I call it a “revolving collection”. Will also have a 75 Electra for sale, too. It’s like fishing….when you catch one and throw it back in the water. I only have 2 cars that I plan to keep indefinitely – a 72 Cutlass convertible that my parents bought in 1973 and a 71 Mercury Cyclone GT which is very similar to my first car. It has 66,480 original miles and is evident by the condition. I have many documents of work performed over the years, the original owner's manuals, and of course the wheel lock key. It features quite a number of options such as Cadillac’s famous trumpet horn (sounds like a freight train!!), automatic suspension leveling, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows/locks/seats/mirrors (including power recliners for both passenger and driver seats), heated mirrors, 3 speed wipers with intermittent control, twilight sentinel, automatic trunk release, power pull down trunk lid, factory fiber-optic headlight and taillight status indicators, driver and passenger side vanity mirrors, rear defrost. Overall the car is very nice. Even the opera lamps still work! The title is clear and has no liens. This is a very roomy and comfortable car, and one of the last years of the traditional full size Caddy’s…with the tried-and-true reliable 5.0 V-8 engine. The car runs and drives beautifully and I’m sure it would go across country effortlessly. Exterior: The exterior is very nice and clean. The paint is an uncommon “Light Pearl Gray” paint which appears to be mostly original and looks good. But, to be picky: There are acid rain and/or tree sap marks on the hood/trunk which cannot be picked up in the pictures. I tried to buff the hood/trunk without success. It appears the drivers side front fender and header panel have been repainted, I assume due to a previous fender bender repair. The chrome and stainless is presentable overall, but with some minor fading in certain areas. The rear bumper is decent but has some minor surface rust coming through the chrome, which is also difficult to see in the pictures. There is a slight indentation on the passenger side front fender and wheel well trim, again, not very noticeable except for very close inspection. The passenger side front door has a couple very small touch up spots (see picture). The vinyl top is in good condition, with a small imperfection around the rear quarter window trim on the passenger side rear door. I am saying all this at the risk of making it sound worse than it really is. Truly, this car is a real beauty. The underbody is solid and has the normal surface rust underneath, but nothing significant. Overall, the exterior is very presentable the way it is, and has been very well kept. It is good enough for the local car show, or simply as a nice driver. It is a very solid and pretty car. Interior: The interior is very clean and nice. The gray cloth seats are very comfy .… no rips or tears anywhere. The car was never smoked in….ash tray & lighter were never used. No air fresheners needed in this car! The carpets are clean and in nice shape. Even the factory floor mats are in good shape. The dash has NO cracks and in good shape. Same with the door panels….beautiful! Some of the thin chrome trim on the dash have small marks/spots, I assume because someone used too strong of a cleaner at one point. The power equipment goodies work except for the power antenna. Everything else works great, including the automatic climate control (A/C has been converted to R-134 and works well) power mirrors, seats, locks, cruise, remote trunk lid, etc. The radio was replaced with a high-end Kenwood CD player, with remote. The radio has satellite capability, but I believe a special antenna will need hooked up for satellite reception. The stereo radio / CD player works and sounds great. It also comes with an original Cadillac radio in the trunk, however it will need repaired if so desired. The digital dash works fine, except the odometer often says “ERROR”; but it still tracks the mileage accurately and will eventually display the actual mileage. I have checked this against the trip odometer and is very accurate, no doubt. This is a common problem on these cars according to one of the online Cadillac forum I looked at. Again, this is a minor issue and in no way impacts the actual mileage of the car. Mechanical: The motor runs very smooth and does not smoke or use oil. The car can sit several days in my garage and there are no leaks of any kind. The motor is the tried and true 5.0 V-8. The steering is tight and the brakes stop smoothly. The following has been done recently: PA safety & emissions inspection, valid through July 2016 4 brand new tires Transmission serviced (new fluid & filter) New radiator Oil & filter change Fuel filter Oxygen sensor Belts/hoses checked New plastic fillers (near license plate) The A/C has been converted to R-134 and works well. Mechanically, it should not need anything. To be picky, it sounds like a slight exhaust leak (only when pressing the accelerator past 1/4 way down) until the motor begins to warm up (it might be related to the emission air tubes?). It is not loud when it does this...you have to listen for it. After a couple minutes I cannot hear anything at all. I can start it several hours after it's cooled down, like after sitting all day and won't hear it....it only seems to happen when the motor is totally cold, like if it sat overnight. I also noticed on a long trip when starting on a warm engine I sometimes have to pump the gas pedal once before starting. Not sure why. Neither of these "issues" are bothersome enough to address, in my opinion. My mechanic could not pinpoint the cause of either of these issues and didn't seem concerned with either. I am simply disclosing so there are no surprises for those who tend to be particular (like myself). Regardless, the car runs beautifully and should go anywhere. I've put over 500 miles on it without issue. Overall: If you are looking for a very nice original example of the last of the traditional full size Fleetwood Brougham’s, this one is for you. You may notice some of the Fleetwoods on eBay go for big bucks, usually because they are extremely low-mileage examples. Although 66,480 miles is still pretty low mileage, I have priced this baby to sell . In my opinion, it’s nice enough for the local show, although it’s not a #1 trailer queen. It’s a very NICE driver car and certainly worthy of keeping in a garage. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you. I have sold several cars on eBay and in all situations I have had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. very clean 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. It has 66,480 original miles and is evident by the condition. I have many documents of work performed over the years, the original owner's manuals, and of course the wheel lock key. It features quite a number of options such as Cadillac’s famous trumpet horn (sounds like a freight train!!), automatic suspension leveling, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows/locks/seats/mirrors (including power recliners for both passenger and driver seats), heated mirrors, 3 speed wipers with intermittent control, twilight sentinel, automatic trunk release, power pull down trunk lid, factory fiber-optic headlight and taillight status indicators, driver and passenger side vanity mirrors, rear defrost. Overall the car is very nice. Even the opera lamps still work! The title is clear and has no liens. This is a very roomy and comfortable car, and one of the last years of the traditional full size Caddy’s…with the tried-and-true reliable 5.0 V-8 engine. The car runs and drives beautifully and I’m sure it would go across country effortlessly. Exterior: The exterior is very nice and clean. The paint is an uncommon “Light Pearl Gray” paint which appears to be mostly original and looks good. But, to be picky: There are acid rain and/or tree sap marks on the hood/trunk which cannot be picked up in the pictures. I tried to buff the hood/trunk without success. It appears the drivers side front fender and header panel have been repainted, I assume due to a previous fender bender repair. The chrome and stainless is presentable overall, but with some minor fading in certain areas. The rear bumper is decent but has some minor surface rust coming through the chrome, which is also difficult to see in the pictures. There is a slight indentation on the passenger side front fender and wheel well trim, again, not very noticeable except for very close inspection. The passenger side front door has a couple very small touch up spots (see picture). The vinyl top is in good condition, with a small imperfection around the rear quarter window trim on the passenger side rear door. I am saying all this at the risk of making it sound worse than it really is. Truly, this car is a real beauty. The underbody is solid and has the normal surface rust underneath, but nothing significant. Overall, the exterior is very presentable the way it is, and has been very well kept. It is good enough for the local car show, or simply as a nice driver. It is a very solid and pretty car. Interior: The interior is very clean and nice. The gray cloth seats are very comfy .… no rips or tears anywhere. The car was never smoked in….ash tray & lighter were never used. No air fresheners needed in this car! The carpets are clean and in nice shape. Even the factory floor mats are in good shape. The dash has NO cracks and in good shape. Same with the door panels….beautiful! Some of the thin chrome trim on the dash have small marks/spots, I assume because someone used too strong of a cleaner at one point. The power equipment goodies work except for the power antenna. Everything else works great, including the automatic climate control (A/C has been converted to R-134 and works well) power mirrors, seats, locks, cruise, remote trunk lid, etc. The radio was replaced with a high-end Kenwood CD player, with remote. The radio has satellite capability, but I believe a special antenna will need hooked up for satellite reception. The stereo radio / CD player works and sounds great. It also comes with an original Cadillac radio in the trunk, however it will need repaired if so desired. The digital dash works fine, except the odometer often says “ERROR”; but it still tracks the mileage accurately and will eventually display the actual mileage. I have checked this against the trip odometer and is very accurate, no doubt. This is a common problem on these cars according to one of the online Cadillac forum I looked at. Again, this is a minor issue and in no way impacts the actual mileage of the car. Mechanical: The motor runs very smooth and does not smoke or use oil. The car can sit several days in my garage and there are no leaks of any kind. The motor is the tried and true 5.0 V-8. The steering is tight and the brakes stop smoothly. The following has been done recently: PA safety & emissions inspection, valid through July 2016 4 brand new tires Transmission serviced (new fluid & filter) New radiator Oil & filter change Fuel filter Oxygen sensor Belts/hoses checked New plastic fillers (near license plate) The A/C has been converted to R-134 and works well. Mechanically, it should not need anything. To be picky, it sounds like a slight exhaust leak (only when pressing the accelerator past 1/4 way down) until the motor begins to warm up (it might be related to the emission air tubes?). It is not loud when it does this...you have to listen for it. After a couple minutes I cannot hear anything at all. I can start it several hours after it's cooled down, like after sitting all day and won't hear it....it only seems to happen when the motor is totally cold, like if it sat overnight. I also noticed on a long trip when starting on a warm engine I sometimes have to pump the gas pedal once before starting. Not sure why. Neither of these "issues" are bothersome enough to address, in my opinion. My mechanic could not pinpoint the cause of either of these issues and didn't seem concerned with either. I am simply disclosing so there are no surprises for those who tend to be particular (like myself). Regardless, the car runs beautifully and should go anywhere. I've put over 500 miles on it without issue. Overall: If you are looking for a very nice original example of the last of the traditional full size Fleetwood Brougham’s, this one is for you. You may notice some of the Fleetwoods on eBay go for big bucks, usually because they are extremely low-mileage examples. Although 66,480 miles is still pretty low mileage, I have priced this baby to sell . In my opinion, it’s nice enough for the local show, although it’s not a #1 trailer queen. It’s a very NICE driver car and certainly worthy of keeping in a garage. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country. Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer this rare opportunity to own a totally original, AND Driveable/Dependable 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Sedan!! If you can get past the paint, which isn't so awful< you will just LOVE this car!!! The 64's are quite significant being the last Cadillac to have fins!!!! Also, first year for 429 engine, and the TH400 Transmission!!! This particular example has spent most of it's life in Minnesota. It was purchased at an estate/Liquidation sale, and ended up in my backyard. I purchased it from a fellow who just did not have the means to care for it properly, or bring it to the level that you see here. It is mechanically fantastic with me doing a full brake service(Hoses, cylinders etc.),and an oil and filter change. I also had the four "L78x15" bias plies removed, and had 4 new Radials fitted. Someone else recently did the exhaust. There is a copy of a service bill below, from 2001, with 24,997 miles. It now has 25,211...and I put 57 of those on myself! So....It hasn't been on the road in almost 15 Years! This Fleetwood now runs and drives like a dream!!!! It has been ultra dependable, and has not even had as much as the slightest hiccup!!!! What is totally amazing to me is HOW NICE this Cadillac really is, being as it came from Minnesota. I cannot find any hint of rust anywhere!!! The chrome is bright and shiny with zero signs of pitting or damage. There is a very small ding down low on the passengers side of the rear bumper....That is It!!!! All stainless is nice and straight with nice shine to it. All gaps and shut lines are nice and straight!! With a nice paint job, this one will be a show stopper!!! This is a totally original, never been apart 1964 Cadillac. The left rear quarter panel has had paint....That is all! I didn't even have it detailed. I washed it and took pictures. The interior is in perfect condition, and should clean up to look like a new 50 year old Cadillac!!! All power equipment works well, EXCEPT.......Passenger front vent window, and left rear door windows are not working. Radio squeals. Clock(of course), A/C blows, but not cold. Vacuum locks lock, but don't unlock(loose hose?). Everything else works fine, and this Cadillac hits the road 100%. As I mentioned above, get past the paint, and you have a REALLY nice original 50 year old Cadillac here! It is the worst part of the car! Note the condition of the chrome.....It it utterly amazingly NICE!! The bumper ends all around have no rot, or pits showing. That is amazing for an original 50 year old car! Notice how nice and straight all of the bumper gaps are! Never any damage! No pits or rust here! In this Photo you can see how nice and straight the rear bumper alignment is. Looks like it did 50 years ago!. As I'm sure you all know, it is very typical to have some rust under the vinyl top. The roof will develop little bumps underneath the material. This one is not near as bad as some I have seen! All emblems are present and accounted for!. There is no mistake!! This is definitely the top of the line Cadillac!!!! Notice how nice and straight the front bumper and grille area are! Extremely hard to duplicate originality!! . No pits or rust on the front bumper!ll! The wood throughout our 60 Special is simply Gorgeous. Again, totally original! No rust in the jambs! None of the typical cracks here!! Our 1964 Fleetwood still proudly wears its factory floor mats!! Front carpet is threadbare in spots, but no holes. The sumptuous interior is in fantastic condition and is certainly commensurate with the low mileage and excellent care our Gorgeous 64 Fleetwood has seen throughout its 50 year life. Beautiful 60's style dash with plenty of chrome. Still original, and in perfect condition! This is the bottom of the left rear door. Beautiful wood only found in the Fleetwood....The pinnacle of luxury. This is at the back of the the left rear door opening! This is the bottom of the right rear door! All totally unrestored and original! This is at the back of the the right rear door opening! In 1964 This was the "Standard of the World"! There are no weather cracks in the dash pad, and the burl wood glistens brightly! Low Mileage for a 50 year old car....Driven only 2500 miles a year! I would guess that even in 1964 Factory installed air conditioning was still a rarely installed option, even on Cadillacs. Ours has "Comfort Control" climate controlled Heat and A/C! . For sale is my 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. 64000 original miles. Registered Antique. I've owned it for four years. It was passed down from my grandfather to me. I've used it as a weekend cruiser ever since. It is my 3rd vehicle and I just do not have the space any more. This car never fails to impress me whenever I get behind the wheel. It soaks up the bumps in the road like no other. Very very smooth. A true testament to how well cars were built years ago. I have service records, not complete, but do date back to the late 80s. Runs and drives. Engine runs strong and the transmission shifts very smoothly. Exterior of vehicle is in fair condition. Vinyl roof is immaculate. Tires are great. Small bit of rust around rear wheel quarter panel area. Small rust on rear bumper. Rust on trunk lid as seen in picutres. Interior is very good condition. None smoker. Headliner is great. Frame has surface rust but is still okay. Will need a fuel tank and sending unit. The tank leaks when filled all the way up. Besides that is does not leak. AC had a fresh charge last year and worked. Currently AC not working. Power locks and radio intermittent inoperative. Clock on dash never works. Wood trim cracked on steering wheel. Slight rough idle. Goes away otherwise.
