I have owned this 1937 Cadillac Fleetwood convertible sedan for about 10 years… I intended to restore it, but other projects have come before this one. The car is currently apart, but has been boxed and stored for many years prior to my acquiring it… as far as I can tell, the car has almost all of the necessary parts to complete it, with the exception of a few small items- most notably the R & L top header latches (center is there), R & L header corner hinges, rear clock, rear ashtray insets and most likely some other small items. An inventory of the parts when I bought it showed it to be basically complete, and the car retains difficult pieces like the original cast bronze door moldings, center R & L divider posts, side mount covers, hood ornament, divider window mechanism, original top frame, etc… I have many photos to share, but no formal written inventory of the parts. A vintage Cadillac specialist from New York has seen this car and also believes it is a worthy candidate for a full restoration… he also has a very nice set of running boards for the car at his shop, to replace the incorrect ones that I received with the car. I can put the new owner in touch with him. The same dealer also has the full details about the rebuild of the 1937 V12 motor and transmission. At the time of the rebuild, the two carburetors were rebuilt, the radiator was redone and the air cleaners were restored as well. All engine parts will need to repainted, but are in very good condition. The frame is the original convertible sedan frame, and is in very good condition. The car comes with the six original 16” wheels that are specific to this series, and I also have the original hubcaps. The entire front end is in excellent condition, and the cowl section is in good condition (I’m guessing rust was repaired there many years ago). Both sidemount wells show small signs of repair, but are very useable. The doors need wood and sheet metal work, but are repairable. The rear body tub is also in need of much work, but is definitely a restorable body… the rear floor and trunk floor were removed, but I have an original floor from a ’37 7519 that goes with the car. I can also include the rear body tub from the same car (in pieces) if it is desired. this spare body has a decent, repairable trunk floor and many very usable metal parts for the restoration. All exterior trim pieces are accounted for, and are in good condition. Headlight buckets, lenses and inserts are all in very good condition. Banjo steering wheel is unbroken. Dashboard gauges are all in very nice condition, with very good faces. the dash panel was repainted in Antoinette Blue at some point, is complete, and is in very good condition. Car came equipped with a defroster/heater and also has the correct Cadillac radio. The original interior is mostly gone, but I do have some important pieces for patterns or re-use… a few walnut door caps, rear seat armrests, original front seat bottoms, all wood supports for the window mechanisms (including the divider), rear compartment cigar lighter & wood piece, rear door ash tray frames, rear entry lights & switch, etc. The main body of the car needs a complete restoration, but there are many good points to this particular vehicle when you consider the fact that the drivetrain was restored (and never installed), the condition of the front metal & frame, and the fact that relatively few small items appear to be missing. I have a number of extra parts that I have collected as well, and they will go with the car. Nothing exciting, but still good to have. I am happy to send photos or any more information that I have available. The car is being offered for $40,000 as described, with all “extra” parts included. I can store the vehicle free of charge until early spring if necessary, and the car is located in Waterford, Michigan.

This immaculate 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham only has 46k miles. This Cadillac body began production in late 1992 running from 1993-1996 and would be the last rear wheel drive GM body-on-frame car(1950's-1990's R.I.P). The overall length of America's longest regular production car was the 1992 Brougham and was increased 4.1 inches to 225.1 inches total, and with that change Cadillac also renamed the former Brougham sedan, now called the Fleetwood. The 5.0 V8 engine was also dropped and the much preferred 5.7 became standard with 260 horsepower and 300 ft. lbs. of torque. This V8 featured a new starter motor that turned the engine more quickly and enhanced reliability. Standard axle ratio for the Fleetwood was 2.56:1 and Brougham Optioned Fleetwoods were 3.09:1. The Brougham option also got you full vinyl roof, sail panel badging, specific seat design with six-way driver's seat memory and heated and three position lumbar front seats, instrument panel badging and rear seat storage armrest. This is probably the best driving GM luxury car ever made and are known to go 500k miles. You can basically drive these cars as long as you want. This body has been gathering collector momentum and is an excellent long term investment.
