And with just 58,363 original miles and only one owner, it's a fantastic survivor that'll be a hit in preservation classes at any level. Cotillion White was probably the most popular color on these cars and the angular Eldorado bodywork wears it rather well, don't you think? It's flashy but not over-done, and the Biarritz trim accentuates the long hood and sharply raked windshield. With low mileage and an owner who always treated it as an object of value, the paint is in remarkable condition for being more than 30 years old and even the bright red pinstripe down its flanks still looks great. On these cars, the critical things are the rubber bumper fillers and fender caps, and in this car's case they're all in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or even flaking paint, which is rather remarkable. Sure, there are a few nicks and other signs of use on the car, but finding one this clean really isn't all that easy these days. In addition to the long streak of stainless trim along the hood and doors, the Biarritz also included the brushed stainless steel roof, which was its signature feature dating back to the 1957 Eldorado Brougham. The rest of the chrome and trim is in fantastic shape for its age, as are the unique taillight lenses with Cadillac crests. The red leather interior was as luxurious as American cars could get in 1984. Pillow-tufted seats are as comfortable as the couch in your living room and show only very minor wear that's not surprising for the car's age. Wonderfully ornate door panels and plush carpets add to the luxurious feeling, as do the Cadillac crest floor mats. Everything was standard on the Biarritz, including power windows, seats, locks, and mirrors, a tilt wheel, cruise control, rear defrost, and automatic climate control, the latter of which has been converted to R134a. The original Delco stereo is gone, replaced by a Pioneer AM/FM/cassette head unit that sounds much better, but beyond that, it's completely stock. The digital instrument panel is a relic of the 1980s, but yeah, it's pretty cool today. The Eldo also offers a reasonably spacious trunk with full-sized spare and jack assembly. Cadillac's sturdy 4.1 liter V8 was the sole powerplant, and it's plenty torquey enough to make this an effortless cruiser. Proper maintenance is critical on these engines, and it sure looks like the original owner stayed on top of it, because the engine bay is very clean and the car runs beautifully. There are zero modifications save for the A/C upgrade, and yes, it's a pretty tight fit in there. Digital fuel injection ensures that it always starts easily and runs smoothly even when it's cold and you might be pleasantly surprised by its fuel economy thanks to the 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. All Eldorados rode on a fully independent suspension with automatic load leveling in the back and they all had 4-wheel disc brakes. There's plenty of evidence of this one's easy life underneath, where it's quite clean and offers a recent exhaust system. Wire spoke hubcaps and narrow 215/75/15 whitewall radials are pretty much the only choice that looks right on a car like this. Fully documented with its original manuals, gold keys, and delivery paperwork, this is a cool survivor at a very reasonable price. Well, that turned out not to be true, but there hasn't been a convertible like this, that's for sure. With 500 cubic inches of V8 engine, a ride that smothers potholes like they don't exist, and enough room for six, this Eldo is truly the last of the open-air land yachts. This '76 Eldorado offers chiseled good looks and outstanding proportions. The fender skirts of the earlier designs are gone, square headlights are in, and there's plenty of chrome to go around. Finished in Firethorn Red, one of Cadillac's signature metallic colors for '76, it's the perfect embodiment of the mid-70s, flashy yet elegant, ideal for a luxury car like this ragtop. There's a ton of sheetmetal to cover here, too (actually more like two and a half tons), but the overall look is clean, especially with the contrasting gold pinstripe that wraps around the heavily stylized nose. Cadillac fans will note that the front and rear end caps, which are notoriously prone to cracking, are in good condition, and the front bumper, with its upright posts at either end, fit nicely, suggesting that this big ragtop has never been hit. The grille is highly detailed, with a tighter pattern than 1975, and orange parking lights were new as well, giving it a very finished look. Frankly, we're astounded that this car is as affordable as it is, because it's in excellent condition. 1976 Eldorados came only one way: loaded. The burgundy leather interior has a comfortable, broken-in feel that's inviting without showing excessive wear, and while red is a tough color to protect from UV damage, this interior looks like it's been well-maintained, although the leather would benefit from a good feeding. Door panels remain in great shape with no cracking in the usual armrest locations, and the faux woodgraining on the dash and doors is excellent. Power goodies include windows, locks, front seat, as well as features like automatic climate control (which has been converted to R134a), a rear defroster for the glass rear window, and a later stereo system that fits in the center of the dash like it was born there. The back seat shows very little wear at all, and the matching burgundy power top is in good condition and folds in its unique "scissor" fashion, which permits a full-width back seat that can handle 3 passengers. It all seals up nice and tight thanks to new window guides, seals and gaskets. The color-matched fiberglass "hard boot" is a rather rare and expensive find and gives the big ragtop a very clean look, perfect for parades. And if you like road trips, this convertible offers a huge trunk that also carries a full-sized spare. Until recently, the 500 cubic inch Cadillac V8 was the biggest production V8 in history. Designed to make effortless, smooth power, it is the perfect companion on a warm summer day. It starts easily and idles almost without vibration, and has enough torque to run all those power accessories without even noticing. Wearing what appears to be its original coat of Cadillac blue paint, it's surprisingly clean under the hood with plenty of evidence of proper maintenance over the years including a recently rebuilt cooling system and all new front suspension components. Note that the power braking system is powered by the power steering pump (called "Hydro-boost"), and delivers stopping power to Cadillac's first 4-wheel disc brake system. The TH425 FWD 3-speed automatic transmission shifts easily, and the car was practically built to haul across Texas at 80 MPH all day thanks to 2.73 gears in the final drive. With less than 500 miles on them, there are four correct 235/75/15 wide whites fitted to the unique Eldo wheels which wear color-matched hubcaps that aren't quite authentic (standard1976 Eldorados used black hubcaps) but sure look good. Prices are up on '70s Eldorados, and the one everyone wants to own is the '76. With only 1800 being built, they're also quite rare and represent A-list luxury from an era when Cadillac was at the very top of their game. Showing an older restoration, this beautiful and unusual '57 Biarritz convertible has a ton of presence. That's the original color, code 96 Elysian Green, and it was beautifully rendered in modern paint a few years ago and still looks great. This is no trailer queen, however, so it's not perfect, but we're guessing you're going to want to drive this one anyway. There's an awful lot of sheetmetal to cover on this big cruiser, and the wonderful details are muted and sophisticated thanks to the low-key color and we like this unusual Eldo more than the usual white or red ones you usually see. The '57s are easy to spot with their rounded rear ends and bold tail fins and the combination of the updated rear and classically styled grille makes it stand out even among '50s Cadillacs. And yes, we need to discuss chrome, because on any car from the era it represents a major investment. Fortunately, all the jewelry on this car is in great condition and someone obviously spent big money on it not too long ago. For sheer jaw-dropping wow factor, this ragtop is pretty hard to beat. The car original carried a green leather interior, but that might have been a little too much green, so when it was restored it received a brand new white interior in durable vinyl. They duplicated the original patterns, so it'll take an expert running his fingers over it to tell the difference and the brilliant contrast really makes this car stand out. Every single component is beautifully styled, and you can easily imagine the huge job that building these cars must have represented, never mind restoring them. The color-matched steering wheel has been beautifully restored and the dash is a symphony of bright trim, space-age design, and functionality. A custom Earmark sound system was beautifully integrated into the interior when it was restored, so it stays out of sight and keeps things looking stock yet still sounds great. There's also a new white power convertible top that disappears under a fiberglass boot that makes for an ultra-clean profile. And even with some of the stereo equipment living in there, the trunk is still positively gigantic. Cadillac was in the horsepower business in 1957, topping their potent 365 cubic inch V8 engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors in the Biarritz. Despite its massive weight, this car was still formidable on the highways of 1957 and that "batwing" air cleaner is the coolest ever designed. It's got proper gold paint on the important parts, along with power steering an brakes, which are probably mandatory on a 5000-pound behemoth like this. It's quite stock under the hood, and while its show days are behind it, you won't hesitate to pop the hood to show off a bit. The same is true underneath, where it's clean and tidy but with enough use that you won't think twice about a road trip. A new dual exhaust system sounds like velvet horsepower and the 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission clicks off shifts with precision. Cadillac's reputation for a cushy ride was born with cars like this, and it wears 225/75/15 whitewall radials that certainly contribute to it. An exceptional car that rightfully deserves its place at the top of the desirability charts, this Biarritz represents the rare find: an A-lister that you can actually drive. It also offers a rare one year only color combination, a long list of comfort and convenience options, and full maintenance records so you can buy and drive with confidence. The color is called Light Redwood Metallic, and it was only offered in 1982. It looks fantastic on the angular Cadillac bodywork, period-perfect yet still appealing today, and it's obvious that this Eldo led a very easy life. The styling has aged well, identifying the early '80s but still looking attractive and crisp today, and the restrained use of chrome certainly helps. The trim that is in place, including the ultra-fine grille and neat stainless window sills, all looks great. And you just can't have a luxury Cadillac of this era without a padded half-roof, with this one being about a year old, so it's in fantastic shape with no issues lurking underneath. The burgundy leather interior is a pleasing choice with the bronze paint and aside from the usual expected comfort marks and wrinkles on the leather, it shows extremely well. Everything you'd expect from Cadillac's flagship model is included, from automatic climate control (still blows cold!) to power windows, locks, and seats, to a trip computer, and it all works as it should. A newer Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo replaces the original Delco unit and sounds pretty good, especially given how quiet this car is inside. There's enough fake wood paneling for your parents' basement, but it actually works well with the Cadillac's baroque vibe and remains in excellent shape. The back seat looks almost new and it includes a rather spacious trunk that's also fully upholstered in matching red carpet. Cadillac's 4.1 liter OHV V8 was a reliable and proven powerplant that makes nice V8 sounds and plenty of useable torque. This one was replaced with a fresh crate motor about 30,000 miles ago, so it's quite fresh and the 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt around the same time. Looking around, you'll spot upgrades like a newer alternator, fresh belts and hoses, and an A/C system upgraded to R134a refrigerant. It starts easily with a bit of a bark from the single exhaust pipe out back and the idle is so smooth that you'll almost be tempted to hit the starter once it's already running. Underneath, it looks fantastic for being more than 30 years old, with just light surface scale on the heavy iron parts but otherwise no signs of life in a harsh climate. The ride is that incomparable Cadillac cloud thanks to an all-independent suspension with air shocks out back. Four-wheel discs were also standard equipment on the Eldorado, so it has better capabilities than you'd expect despite its cushy ride. Recent 215/70/15 whitewall radials with wire hubcaps in their centers give it a proper '80s luxury look that's exactly right. Lots of recent work means this car is sorted and ready to enjoy. If you like the look of these cars, there can't be many out there more appealing than this.
