I am selling a beautiful 1971 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. I am the second owner. I purchased it from the original owner only a year and a half ago. The original owner was an elderly woman in her 80's. This has been a dry weather Sacramento car its entire life. I have the clean California title in my name. The car was all original when I purchased it including paint, interior and top. It was rust free with no body damage at all. It was a daily driver for the lady who I bought it from and still is as I drive it every weekend. In the last 9 months I have spent well over $12,000 between mechanical(brakes,tires,belts,fluids), new paint in the original color($10,000), convertible top including back glass($1,600) and a small amount of interior work(new carpet in the cab and the trunk). The paint job is stunning! The car has a 502 V8 engine with an automatic transmission and front wheel drive. It has power windows, locks, mirrors, trunk release, seats and convertible top. It also has the factory AM/FM 8-track sterep, air conditioning(works but needs a charge) power steering, cruise control, leather interior and more. Everything works exactly as it should. The car runs and drives excellent. It has no leaks or mechanical issues at all. It drives straight, has solid suspension, motor, transmission and brakes. This Cadillac needs nothing any time soon. It has new tires, belts and fluids. Any time something needed to be replaced it was either repaired by the dealer or a trusted local shop. There isn't much needed to get this Cadillac to an excellent finished state. The exterior already looks like new. If you wanted the interior to mirror the condition of the exterior then you may want to reupholster the seats, the carpet on the door panels and refinish the interior wood trim, etc... The interior is all original and in great shape so the work stated isn't needed unless you wanted it perfect. I have already had new carpet installed(interior and trunk) plus the head rests/back top section of the seat reupholstered . All of the original chrome, glass, hub caps, grill, trim, lights and emblems are in excellent shape. This car is a must see and drive to believe! This the nicest original 1971 Eldorado Convertible you will find for the money. This isn't a perfect fully restored car but it is in excellent condition for the year. The car was very clean when I bought it. I have already spent the money on the most expensive part of the restoration(the paint and body) so now it is up to you to drive it as is or to go the extra mile and turn it into a weekend driven show piece.
