CAL CAR ORIGINAL BLUE PLATES ONE OWNER ONLY 20K ORIGINAL MILES If you are looking for a classic Eldorado, look no further. This is a no excuses, original California 'Blue Plate' car that has had just one owner and is an absolute 'survivor', so it is not perfect but it is as we can tell 'original'. The car has just 20k miles and you will receive a clean, unbranded Arizona title with "BOX-A" original mileage reported. The car looks to be complete and it has the Biarritz package with the half landau top and chrome trim that extends from the rear sides all the way to the tip of the front fenders. The car is extra clean and was not smoked in, you will not find a nicer interior anywhere, it's amazing. Please take time to read the lengthly description and look over the 85+ photos that show how nice this car is inside and out, even the undercarriage is in great shape. The body of the car is straight with no major dings or dents, the paint has held up as this car was obviously garage kept, there are no spots where the paint has 'failed', it is all there. There are a few blemishes in the finish like a very small chip and one or two very, very small door dings (quite insignificant, no paint damage)here or there but nothing that takes away from the striking looks of the car. All trim is intact, it is missing a 12" piece of molding on the passenger side behind the door but complete otherwise. Stainless steel roof is in excellent shape with no weathering or damage, the landau top is also original and shows minimal aging. All chrome is original and shows the appropriate amount of aging but no severe pitting or corrosion. Tires have great tread remaining however show some dryness as you will see and they are nice white-walled Michelin's. I realize that we all have different taste in tires so I figured I would let the next owner select what they would like on the car, I would have replaced them with the same Michelin white walls but I'll leave that up to you. Glass is excellent, absolutely crystal clear with no scraping on the side windows from the window regulator, amazing. Also, the power antenna is in perfect working order as is the 'soft-close' on the trunk lid. The interior is impeccable, the wear (or lack of wear) is consistent with the mileage. The dash pad is mint with no cracks or warping, door panels are excellent, carpets are plush and include the original floor mats. Headliner is perfect, visors and vanity mirrors are intact and the lights in them are in working order. Seats are supple and soft with no wear, even on the outside bolster on the driver's side, it looks amazing. Steering wheel shows just a minimal amount of aging, it's all intact. The car has never been smoked in, it smells fresh and very close to even having nearly a 'new car smell', no musty or tobacco odors at all and no burns anywhere in the upholstery. I have another radio bezel along with a CD player that plugs directly in to the existing radio harness if you are planning to do any driving in the car and wish to update the audio a bit, this will be included with the sale of the car along with one set of keys, all floor mats, spare tire equipment and a full service manual. There are a few things that need attention on the car, first, the passenger power window is 'slow', it goes down great but the regulator is sort of weak so it takes a bit to get it all the way back to the upright position. The A/C blows warm, it DOES work as we recharged it and it blew cold but after sitting for a few months it has lost it's charge. I have had several and normally it is an 'Orfice Tube' or a seal on the back of the compressor but that is minor, the components do actually work properly. Thirdly, the cruise control does not engage, it turns on in the dash but the 'servo' under the hood has a broken vacuum seal and the way to tell is that the rubber face that holds the linkage is just flopping around, a new servo is about a 150.00 fix (installed). Aside from that, everything else is in good working order, all gauges, lights (including the 'fiber-optic' indicators inside above the rear window and the fender mounted 'low-high beam and signals appear to work as well), power door locks, power seats, even the power mirrors and power antenna are functioning properly. Mechanically the car is what you would expect from a vintage Caddy with low miles. It starts up quickly and smoothly with the fuel injection. Exhaust sounds really quiet, it does appear to have a new muffler installed so that is not going to need any attention. Transmission shifts properly and the car holds the road well. It tracks straight down the freeway, brakes are good and the car is a real pleasure to drive, equally as nice to be seen in as it is quite a conversation piece when you pull into a gas station or park it in a busy place. In all, this will be a great buy on a classic Cadillac, I have watched these for a while and there are not many available in original condition with this low of mileage, a clean southern history and almost never with the original CA blue plates! I have the car priced very fairly at $13,900 but I realize half the fun of buying a classic car is trying to get the best deal for yourself therefore I am allowing a "Best Offer' option for SERIOUS buyers who wish to submit a reasonable offer. This is a no excuses, original California 'Blue Plate' car that has had just one owner and is an absolute 'survivor', so it is not perfect but it is as we can tell 'original'. The car has just 20k miles and you will receive a clean, unbranded Arizona title with "BOX-A" original mileage reported. The car looks to be complete and it has the Biarritz package with the half landau top and chrome trim that extends from the rear sides all the way to the tip of the front fenders. The car is extra clean and was not smoked in, you will not find a nicer interior anywhere, it's amazing. Please take time to read the lengthly description and look over the 85+ photos that show how nice this car is inside and out, even the undercarriage is in great shape. The body of the car is straight with no major dings or dents, the paint has held up as this car was obviously garage kept, there are no spots where the paint has 'failed', it is all there. There are a few blemishes in the finish like a very small chip and one or two very, very small door dings (quite insignificant, no paint damage)here or there but nothing that takes away from the striking looks of the car. All trim is intact, it is missing a 12" piece of molding on the passenger side behind the door but complete otherwise. Stainless steel roof is in excellent shape with no weathering or damage, the landau top is also original and shows minimal aging. All chrome is original and shows the appropriate amount of aging but no severe pitting or corrosion. Tires have great tread remaining however show some dryness as you will see and they are nice white-walled Michelin's. I realize that we all have different taste in tires so I figured I would let the next owner select what they would like on the car, I would have replaced them with the same Michelin white walls but I'll leave that up to you. Glass is excellent, absolutely crystal clear with no scraping on the side windows from the window regulator, amazing. Also, the power antenna is in perfect working order as is the 'soft-close' on the trunk lid. The interior is impeccable, the wear (or lack of wear) is consistent with the mileage. The dash pad is mint with no cracks or warping, door panels are excellent, carpets are plush and include the original floor mats. Headliner is perfect, visors and vanity mirrors are intact and the lights in them are in working order. Seats are supple and soft with no wear, even on the outside bolster on the driver's side, it looks amazing. Steering wheel shows just a minimal amount of aging, it's all intact. The car has never been smoked in, it smells fresh and very close to even having nearly a 'new car smell', no musty or tobacco odors at all and no burns anywhere in the upholstery. I have another radio bezel along with a CD player that plugs directly in to the existing radio harness if you are planning to do any driving in the car and wish to update the audio a bit, this will be included with the sale of the car along with one set of keys, all floor mats, spare tire equipment and a full service manual. There are a few things that need attention on the car, first, the passenger power window is 'slow', it goes down great but the regulator is sort of weak so it takes a bit to get it all the way back to the upright position. The A/C blows warm, it DOES work as we recharged it and it blew cold but after sitting for a few months it has lost it's charge. I have had several and normally it is an 'Orfice Tube' or a seal on the back of the compressor but that is minor, the components do actually work properly. Thirdly, the cruise control does not engage, it turns on in the dash but the 'servo' under the hood has a broken vacuum seal and the way to tell is that the rubber face that holds the linkage is just flopping around, a new servo is about a 150.00 fix (installed). Aside from that, everything else is in good working order, all gauges, lights (including the 'fiber-optic' indicators inside above the rear window and the fender mounted 'low-high beam and signals appear to work as well), power door locks, power seats, even the power mirrors and power antenna are functioning properly. Mechanically the car is what you would expect from a vintage Caddy with low miles. It starts up quickly and smoothly with the fuel injection. Exhaust sounds really quiet, it does appear to have a new muffler installed so that is not going to need any attention. Transmission shifts properly and the car holds the road well. It tracks straight down the freeway, brakes are good and the car is a real pleasure to drive, equally as nice to be seen in as it is quite a conversation piece when you pull into a gas station or park it in a busy place. In all, this will be a great buy on a classic Cadillac, I have watched these for a while and there are not many available in original condition with this low of mileage, a clean southern history and almost never with the original CA blue plates! Unless you have the ability to time travel and buy one of these in the late 90's, you won't find a cleaner Caddy with a better history. This garage kept Arizona coupe has had just one elderly owner and is fully optioned aside from a moonroof. The car has the very elegant 'Biarritz' package that includes the half carriage-top with a chrome runner that graces the sides of the body. It also has the 'Arizona Edition' which was a dealer installed option group consisting of the chromed alloy wheels, 'white-line' Michelin tires, gold accents and the subtle pinstriping arrangement. This car is 100% corrosion free, please take time to look at all of the photos including the pristine undercarriage. You can even see the original 'chalk-markings' on the suspension components and the tags on the various lines. Also the matching numbers drivetrain as indicated by the corresponding VIN# engraved in the block. The exterior of the car is about as nice as they come, there are no dings, dents or scratches on the car, not really even a stone chip up front. There was one small 'buffer-burn' on the nose above the grille, we touched that up and it really is not noticeable as you can see from the photos. No signs of any accidents, no signs of any paint repair or frame damage ever. Glass is excellent, crystal clear all the way around. Michelin tires have 80% tread life remaining and are in great shape with no dryness or tread separation. All lights, lenses, trim, chrome and 1/2 carriage top are in impeccable condition. Inside you will find a luxurious leather Eldorado interior. Leather is all in excellent shape, you can see by the close up photos there is next to no wear at all on the driver's seat bolsters and it is all supple and soft, no dryness or shrinking which is remarkable for an Arizona car. The only item that is not 100 percent is the door to the ashtray which does not 'click' into the closed position, a very easy and inexpensive replacement if it is a concern. Dash is straight, door panels are mint with no separation when you pull the door closed. All wood-grain is nice, no cracks or fading at all. Carpets have no staining and there are no burns anywhere, it also smells fresh inside, no signs of tobacco use. It is loaded with everything available and everything works including the power seats, heated seats, Theftlock premium audio with CD changer, ice cold A/C, keyless entry, soft close trunk and more. Even the power antenna works properly. Mechanically, the car is spot on. It runs, rides and drives every bit as good as it looks. Engine is smooth, quiet and powerful. No unusual noises or vibrations, transmission shifts smooth and accurate, no slippage or 'sketchy shifting'. It tracks down the road perfectly, alignment and balance feel precise, handling and suspension is soft and rattle-free. The car is incredibly clean underneath making all components easily serviceable as new. Look underneath a mid-west or east coast car, even a garage kept lower mile car will have corrosion on the nuts, bolts, braking system, exhaust system etc. The original exhaust still has the factory stamp markings on them! This car is for the buyer or collector that wants what I consider to be one of the best available, there are only a couple with lower mileage but more importantly there are none with this pedigree, a garage kept southern history, one owner, complete with all books, keys, mats, etc. and certainly none optioned this way with a cleaner underside anywhere. Unless you have the ability to time travel and buy one of these in the late 90's, you won't find a cleaner Caddy with a better history. This garage kept Arizona coupe has had just one elderly owner and is fully optioned aside from a moonroof. The car has the very elegant 'Biarritz' package that includes the half carriage-top with a chrome runner that graces the sides of the body. It also has the 'Arizona Edition' which was a dealer installed option group consisting of the chromed alloy wheels, 'white-line' Michelin tires, gold accents and the subtle pinstriping arrangement. This car is 100% corrosion free, please take time to look at all of the photos including the pristine undercarriage. You can even see the original 'chalk-markings' on the suspension components and the tags on the various lines. Also the matching numbers drivetrain as indicated by the corresponding VIN# engraved in the block. The exterior of the car is about as nice as they come, there are no dings, dents or scratches on the car, not really even a stone chip up front. There was one small 'buffer-burn' on the nose above the grille, we touched that up and it really is not noticeable as you can see from the photos. No signs of any accidents, no signs of any paint repair or frame damage ever. Glass is excellent, crystal clear all the way around. Michelin tires have 80% tread life remaining and are in great shape with no dryness or tread separation. All lights, lenses, trim, chrome and 1/2 carriage top are in impeccable condition. Inside you will find a luxurious leather Eldorado interior. Leather is all in excellent shape, you can see by the close up photos there is next to no wear at all on the driver's seat bolsters and it is all supple and soft, no dryness or shrinking which is remarkable for an Arizona car. The only item that is not 100 percent is the door to the ashtray which does not 'click' into the closed position, a very easy and inexpensive replacement if it is a concern. Dash is straight, door panels are mint with no separation when you pull the door closed. All wood-grain is nice, no cracks or fading at all. Carpets have no staining and there are no burns anywhere, it also smells fresh inside, no signs of tobacco use. It is loaded with everything available and everything works including the power seats, heated seats, Theftlock premium audio with CD changer, ice cold A/C, keyless entry, soft close trunk and more. Even the power antenna works properly. Mechanically, the car is spot on. It runs, rides and drives every bit as good as it looks. Engine is smooth, quiet and powerful. No unusual noises or vibrations, transmission shifts smooth and accurate, no slippage or 'sketchy shifting'. It tracks down the road perfectly, alignment and balance feel precise, handling and suspension is soft and rattle-free. The car is incredibly clean underneath making all components easily serviceable as new. Look underneath a mid-west or east coast car, even a garage kept lower mile car will have corrosion on the nuts, bolts, braking system, exhaust system etc. The original exhaust still has the factory stamp markings on them! There are less expensive Eldorados available with more miles, tainted history, have come from rust prone areas or have stories. This one does not. This car is for the buyer or collector that wants what I consider to be one of the best available, there are only a couple with lower mileage but more importantly there are none with this pedigree, a garage kept southern history, one owner, complete with all books, keys, mats, etc. and certainly none optioned this way with a cleaner underside anywhere. Also noteworthy is that I have this one priced more realistically than some of those others, I have been told by experts, enthusiasts and collectors alike, the nice ones aren't cheap....the cheap ones aren't nice, you always get what you pay for.
