I am selling my baby. Getting old & slowing down. Bought a Rubicon & don't drive this car enough to justify keeping her. I bought this car new in February 2006. It has 82,630 miles on the odometer. Drive train has approximately 20,000 miles. I had the entire drive train replaced in 2009 from front to back, including the differential, with an upgraded engine, transmission and clutch. All installation work was done by Lindsay Cadillac in Arlington, VA. Conversion is seamless. Works the same, just faster. All options work as before, no wonky dash lights etc. (even the knock sensors were retained and function properly). Passes MD emissions without issue. Car has way to many careful modifications to list. Fast. Reliable. Stealthy. Tight. Sorted. Highlights include: Passport SRX LIDAR/Laser Jammer and Radar detector custom installed and concealed in the ashtray (can be turned off and closed if one is pulled over). This thing WORKS. Zero tickets since I had it installed about 5 years ago. Not even Laser. And I've been through many a LIDAR trap at speed in it. Katech 6.7L motor built by Katech performance on on THE GM performance C5-R racing block (the block alone cost $9,000): * GM Performance Parts C5R block* Main studs* Callies Crankshaft* Carillo connecting rods* Ported and blueprinted oil pump* Katech pistons* Mahle rings* ATI Dampener* CNC Ported LS6 Cylinder heads* 2.100" Lightweight intake valves* 1.550" Lightweight exhaust valves* Katech K.spec camshaft* LS6 Springs* FAST 92 mm intake manifold (this is one change I did to the motor vs. the Katech build; it needed to breath to make the expected HP)* Returnless fuel rail* CNC ported throttle body* 160 Deg. Thermostat* 38# Injectors* Katech cast aluminum valvecovers with blue powdercoat* Katech coil relocation brackets* Katech billet belt tensioner* Equipped with CTS-V oil pan Engine computer tuning by Behe performance. Redline / fuel cut-off conservatively set at 7,200 RPM. Monster power curve. It makes 464 RWHP (apprx. 575 hp at crank) on Behe's very conservative dyno. Words do not do this engine justice. It loves to rev, and is still making over 435 RWHP at the 7.200 RPM fuel cut-off. Car is good for 0-60 in apprx. 3.5 sec. Standing 1/4 mile in aprx. 12.1. I have done 12.3, with a super conservative launch. Leaves stock gen2 (supercharged) CTS-V's in the dust. Behe also just replaced most of the synchros in the transmission. It did not really need it, but it had a minor leak showing up in 5th gear and I did not want to sell the vehicle like that. If you call them, Colin or John will tell you it didn't have to have the work, and I did it so a buyer would have a good experience. TPS headersTPS hi-flow cats (car is emissions legal in Maryland and has passed without issue every time)Zoomers cat-back exhaust (car comes with near new OEM cat-back; Zoomers has been on car since apprx. 10-20k mi).(Sound is amazing & almost NASCAR loud at wide open throttle; if you prefer quieter, you can reinstall the OEM factory cat-back) Brand new rear tiresGood tread on front Transmission: Rockland Standard Gear Co. "Son of Tranzilla" 6 speed manual. UUC urethane engine mounts LS7 (427) Corvette clutch and flywheel Cross drilled rotors GMPP racing wheel studs with STS-V staggered rims (18x9 front / 19x9.5 rear) Stainless steel brake lines/Hawk pads Handles like a go-cart. Factory upgraded hi-performance suspension. I have had the car at 1.29g lateral acceleration. Pulls .95-1.0g with zero drama all day. Stable & predictable handling. The engine conversion resulted in an incredible improvement, because the C5R engine sits about 4-5" lower than the original motor (see pic -- in factory LS2 CTS-V's, the engine is about 1" from the cross member. The change in engine height really improves the turn in and nimbleness of the car, and it was epic to begin with (pre-conversion, I had recorded 1.19g on the STS-V rims). Car has been autographed in two places by GM factory driver Andy Pilgrim, who won the American LeMans series several times driving the factory CTS-V race cars (which were all powered by Katech built engines). I have fanatically maintained this car like my life depended on it, because at time it does. Have all modification/service records. It looks, runs, drives like a nearly new car. I've replaced carpet, floor mats, anything that showed signs of wear or impacted the driving experience. Well over $100,000 spent on it since new. Very reliable. Sleeper. I will put the car through MD inspection, at buyer's request for $100. Otherwise, the car is sold "where is / as is" with no warranties express or implied. I have a full hydraulic lift, you are welcome to bring a mechanic and come look at the car. Serious buyers can come and test drive. I will accompany anyone on a test ride; and, any high-performance driving will have to be a test-ride. Email to coordinate a viewing/drive. Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason or no reason at all. $1,000 deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance must be PIF in 7 days from auction close in cash, cashier's check (in person so I can cash it before releasing title) or bank wire.
