I could get quite eloquent in my description of this car. As I view it and consider it, all I see is "class". But your interest is quality. Of course it is a Cadillac and you expect quality. This car has survived time and travel very,very well. Having only been driven 56,XXX miles, it certainly isn't worn out! The engine starts with ease and without smoke. It idles smoothly and propels the car powerfully. The drivetrain operates properly and quitely. The brakes work properly. The driving experience is wonderful. Recent maintenance and repairs to the brakes, ignition system and suspension make this car a reliable means of transportation. The 12 volt conversion makes for easy starting and better illumination. The addition of turn indicators provides for safer turning in traffic. I have thoroughly examined and inspected the vehicle. Other than the parking brake, all features function properly. With some adjustment, that will also work. The body is straight and the fit is nice. The twenty year old restoration has held up nicely. There are minimal flaws in the paint and only a few touch-ups. The chrome and stainless are exceptional. The grill is most notable. It gleems. All the glass is good. The wheels are a snazzy red and the period correct tires are very good. The hubcaps and trim rings are wonderful. The interior has been reupholstered to a proper appearing material. It is in very good condition. The engine bay is pleasing to the eye. The fluids are all fresh and at proper level. There is no reason to be disappointed with the hood open. As you may know, there were only 438 Opera Coupes built. Of these, very few were fitted with dual side-mounted spare tires. It is believed that only three still exist. This is a glorious car. You can be assured that the quality is commensurate with the Cadillac badge that is afixed to the car.

This is a rare car due to the dual side-mounted spares and factory installed running boards. This is one of only three remaining Series 60 Opera Coupes with these features. There were only 438 Opera Coupes built in 1938 by Cadillac. This particular car has been driven sparingly. The odometer reading of 56,xxx is believed to be actual. Considering the overall condition of the car, this is very easy to believe. However, we do not have proof. It underwent a cosmetic restoration approximately 20 years ago. It has held up very well and still does not display any signs of rust or repairs to the body. There are minimal flaws in the paint. The chrome and stainless are in very good condition. The glass is good. The wheels and tires look wonderful. The interior has been re-upholstered to a proper appearing material. It is very nice. The engine bay is pleasing to the eye. This car is certainly show worthy. In fact, it was invited to participate in the prestigious Masterpiece in Milwaukee, WI. It stood tall next to some wonderful cars of the classic era that were valued at many times my price for this car. It has won awards at local shows and typically stands as the best GM vehicle. The 348 flathead V8 starts with ease and runs smooth. The transmission shifts properly. There are no issues with either. The driving experience is wonderful thanks to recent maintenance of the ignition, suspension, steering and brakes. I have driven it a fair bit on two lane roads and it handles very nicely.
