here we have a 1958 cadillac 2 door , i bought this car 13 years ago and have been restoring it with my son , we now have lost interest in it ,i would like to sell it ,we have done so much work on this car its unbelievable , i will try to list some things here , i bought car from peru new york , shipped it here to fredericton NB canada , its been in my garage ever since , had it out few times around the block just for test drives , it does drive well , when we got it we stripped it down to the frame ,sandblasted and painted frame and fixed rear trunk up with new metal bent on our bending machine , its well done and solid mig welded together , we also had 2 full rocker pannels bent up by machinest ,inner and outers , we then migged in new metal for floors , all trunk ,floors all solid, we did make our own rear wheel wells on bending machine,they are octogonal ,nice job on all this , then we bought and installed rust free front fenders , front inner wheel wells ,hood, trunk , both doors were fixed on bottom with long metal piece and migged well,new windshield and rubber seal , rear window all redone with new caulking ,new front upper control arms , new rear control arm bushings and rear control arms rebuilt, new gas tank ,shocks brake shoes ,drums turned , new brake lines , new brake cylindars ,front coil springs,steering coupler , steering wheel and horn ring in great shape ,new front wheel bearings repacked , front stabilizer bar kit ,new transmissin lines , gas line , new radiator, new heater fan, new dash cover done by rons upholstery and dash painted white,doorrubber j seals new , new black carpet and white headliner both not installed yet but there included,inside trunk is finished white , and new trunk seal installed ,new master cylindar rebuilt but still doesnt work that well ,i bought a new more modern power brake booster but havent installed it yet it needs bit of migivering to get it to attach properly ,all new universal joints ,new dual exhaust and hung up properly ,new battery last year ,all chrome is there except both rear quater pannel spears and both rocker pannel chrome and passenger side front wheel well trim ,rear fin trim solid but needs rechromed , chrome door flippers great shape and work , hood and trunk v good shape , grill good shape , front headlight bezels very good shape ,rear wheel well mouldings like new , front bumper good shape driver quality, rear bumper center section needs replating , but the bumper ends are driver quality and solid, the one shown on car is not the one ,all the chrome pieces are not on the pic of car because they are in garage packed away ,tail lights solid pitted and needs rechromed and front side wing windows pitted need rechromed , front side fender and top spears driver quality no dings , windshield trim is great front and back .door handles great shape ,both door and trunk locks are great ,interior dash clusters great shape , both seats and door pannels are included but needs redone for sure ,new electric fuel pump , 4 new cooker white wall tires ,all 4 original hubcaps are there in great shape,Horn dont seem to work , took motor all apart took to machine shop they put gauge down cylinders and said dont bore it its only out 8 thousands inch , just put new rings ,rod and main bearings ,lap valves ,gasket kit and seals ,we didnt have great luck with the rear main seal we used the wick type and mechanic told me it will probably drip a bit and it does , , i have bought new type seal but i havent installed it yet. water pump rebuilt ,belts ,exhaust manifolds , did a complete carb job , new electronic ignition , plugs wires etc , runs like a top and transmission shifts perfect, they dunked block and heads to clean them up , we put back together and painted it cadillac blue , transmission to , put back in car ,new alternator , took old generator off and installed new modern one got rid of all that stuff on firewall ,rear quater pannells were rusted on bottom so we cut them off , mig welded a whole new 8 foot long piece along bottom of each side , and also migged the flare trims on wheel wells back on , its all well done ,now the body man will have to block them out ,, there is no rust to fix on this car ,all new metal welded in ,also nice stereo system is installed to , the deck is inside the dash compartment not to mess up the look of the dash.vacume wipers do work and the chrome blades are new ,new emergency brake cable system also installed ,trunk badge is good shape but faded ,side rear view mirrors are new aftermarket,there you have it , if your interested it will drive on any trailer and haul away and finish , needs body and paint , interior and some rechroming done , install the new power brake booster thats included , few chrome pieces to get ;and you got it done , all the hard stuff is done now , i got $ 19,000 in this car so far with all receipts to prove it ,not counting labour lol, i got $1000 just in sandblasting sand lol , this car finished at about another $10,000 , would be beautiful and bring very good money , Project car is sold as is where is , no marranty what so ever, good luck Bidding, For international bidders , all
