The 1993 version was the best looking and is still the most desirable for the current collector, the wheels/taillights, and front facia all went through mild redesigns and improvements. None, however, stand out like the addition of the Northstar 32 valve V8 under the hood! The growl of the exhaust, and the success of that engine really catapulted Cadillac into their next big run as leaders in the luxury market. Our car is dressed in the gorgeous Burgundy exterior and Ebony interior set of by a rich wood dash that makes the interior feel like a British supercar from back in the 90's. Upgraded by the owner, there is a state of the art navigation system that hooks into your bluetooth and will give you voiced turn by turn directions if you wish. The top is black canvas and in good condition, there is a series of steps to putting the top down, a mix of manual and power sequences that it quite easy after doing it once or twice. Trunk room is plenty for two sets of clubs or a weekends worth of luggage. There are a few spots on the car that show some wear: heel mark on the driver floor, ding in the hood, pinstriping is peeling in spots. Car has been driven, not a museum piece, nor should it be. SES light is currently on and needs to be diagnosed. Engine runs fine, no drivability issues. Car has had Mobil 1 oil changes for the last few years. Current owner has had the car for 3 years and is an Allante aficionado! See the white 87 in the background of picture #1 on our website for sale as well. There is an extra chrome grill, pictured, that will come with the car and is easily interchangeable if you so desire. Designed by the famous Pinin Farina coach builders that made so many great Italian sports cars the sexy icons that they are today, this model was made to draw attention to Cadillac as a real competitor in the sports car market in the late 80's. Our model has been well taken care of and always garaged. A new, later version, of the Pearl White paint has been applied and shines beautifully. The current owner has painted the black bottom stripe to match the body, and the newer paint doesn't have that pinkish tone that the original paint tended to get after a few years. Its a very clean and updated look. Also, the wheels from his 1993 Allante are on this car and they also add to the modernization. Are you ready for this? The soft top, black in color, has just been updated with a KEVLAR replacement! It is literally bulletproof/knife proof. Hard top is currently on, and there is a winch system that goes with the car to suspend the roof out of your way during the Summer months. Interior is in good shape, there are a few of the panels that are loose mainly in the rear compartment area. Power options abound, the seats are adjustable in 12 directions, a voice activated Magellan GPS system with phone integration has been added to the dash, and all the power options function as they should. This is a 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 9 Passenger Limousine formerly owned by Father Divine of the Peace Movement centered in Philadelphia during the 40s 50s and 60s. First we will discuss the car, then we will discuss the man who called himself God. I suspect, if God was being driven around in 1962, this is what he would choose as his mode of daily transportation. This nine passenger land yacht is powered by the powerful and reliable 390 V8 engine used by most of the big Cadillacs during the 60s. It has 325hp and plenty of torque to carry the 5400b car loaded with passengers and luggage up hills with ease. In 1962, they made 904 of these limousines and most were sold into commercial use. Not ours. Father Divine bought this one right across the street from one of his hotels at Broad St. and Ridge Ave. in Philadelphia from Scott Smith Cadillac. It was a Series 75 Limousine, Black with grey interior, and loaded with options. The passenger side rear view mirror, still intact, is not viewable from the driver seat! So there was another curved mirror added for safety when backing this up and switching lanes. The Dirham Coach building company out of Philadelphia installed a full vinyl roof to the car and it really separates our vehicle as being a very special one-off that you will find yourself talking about to people at car shows who have "never seen this before." As a private vehicle, it has always been garaged and has a documented low mileage of less than 74k. The current owner has had it for the last 14 years and is ready for a new toy. During that time, he has taken excellent care of the vehicle and has made sure to drive it on a regular basis. Although he kept it under 1000 miles per year, it has not been out of inspection at anytime. New batteries, belts, tires, AC work, oil changes etc. have all been looked after as if it was a daily driver. Current owner has also added a new stereo with speakers up front that are easily removable if you would like to take back to stock. No cutting of the dash was necessary. Engine runs great, trans shifts smooth, surprisingly quiet vehicle for 1962, but hey, it's a Caddy! The trunk is vast and has a CD changer installed, holds a 2.5 ton jack and a full size matching spare. All included with the sale. Items that need attention:-There are spots at the bottom of the front fenders as they meet the front doors that are rusting from the inside, this is due to the AC unit condensation running to the back of the vehicle. Not through the paint, but it is there. -There is also a rear leveling system that is currently in-operational. Current owner never saw the need for it so he hasn't addressed it, most likely a compressor issue.-Paint is original and does show some cracking at various points throughout, good 10 foot car though-Slight seepage from the trans, nothing major but wanted to disclose it. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. Successful high bidder MUST communicate with at Donohue Auto Sales LLC by e-mail or phone855-469-3135 within 24 hours of the auction ending to make arrangements to complete their transaction. If we cannot confirm your intention to buy or the sale is not completed within 5 days, we reserve the right to relist this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer. In order to secure bid on vehicle, Successful bidder (BUYER) must within 24 hours of bid closing send to Seller a Deposit in the amount of 10% by major credit card, cash in person or bank certified funds. Within 72 hours of bid closing, Buyer must send balance of funds by bank wire transfer, cash in person, bank certified funds to Seller. At time of sending initial deposit, Buyer MUST fax copy of their State issued valid Driver License.
