This is not a restored car -- it is a well preserved original that was lovingly cared-for throughout its life. It has traveled just 43,508 miles since new. The original owner’s manual and sales brochures are included along with the service records I received with the car. This car is pure pleasure to drive. It has always been garage-kept and I don’t think it has ever been smoked in. BODY / FLOORS / FRAME: The trunk, floors, frame and undercarriage are all original and completely solid. The fit of the doors, hood and trunk lid are as original and the body is straight. I don’t see any rust-through anywhere under the car. PAINT / CHROME: The paint appears to be mostly original with few touch ups. It presents extremely well. There are a few minor chips and touch-ups in the paint as would be expected but nothing noticeable unless you are looking for them close-up. The bumpers, chrome and trim are in extremely nice original condition. INTERIOR: The interior is also original. The dash, door panels, headliner, carpet, and seat belts are all in amazing condition. The leather seats are very nice, showing only minor wear on the front seat. The dash is the nicest I’ve ever seen on any Eldorado. ELECTRICAL: Absolutely everything works, including the original radio and 8-track tape player. Even the exterior thermometer works and the clock keeps excellent time. MECHANICAL: The engine is original and runs very well. The engine compartment is correct and original -- it has not even been detailed. The transmission and brakes are in excellent working order. The tires are in excellent condition. As with all old cars, it leaves a few drips when parked for awhile. TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and licensed as a Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means that you must complete various sales and title transfer forms with me, which can be done in person or through the mail. DOCUMENTATION FEE: A flat fee of $100 is charged on all vehicle purchases to cover postage, preparing paperwork and forms, and other dealer costs. This fee cannot be waived. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer. SALES TAX: If you live in Florida or are picking up the car in Florida I am required to collect the applicable sales tax and tag/title fees. If the vehicle is shipped out of Florida by common carrier I do not collect the sales tax (you will take care of that where you live.) DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A $200 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or wire transfer within seven days of the end of the auction. All cashier’s checks must clear my bank before the vehicle can be released. If the winning bidder fails to pay in accordance with these requirements, I may, at my option, make second-chance offers or re-list/remarket the vehicle and the deposit will be forfeited by the bidder. This is not a restored car -- it is a well preserved original that was lovingly cared-for throughout its life. The odometer reads just 63,195 miles. The previous owner told me that this is the correct original mileage and I see no reason to doubt it. This car is a genuine pleasure to drive -- it is like stepping back through a time-warp. It was always garage-kept and it retains its pleasant antique car patina inside. BODY / FLOORS / FRAME: This is an extremely solid car. The fit of the doors, hood and trunk lid are excellent and the body is very straight. The trunk, floors, frame and undercarriage are all original and completely solid. I don’t see any rust-through anywhere under the car. PAINT / CHROME: This car was repainted approximately five years ago in its original color. It is a very nice paint job and has no chips, scratches or dents that I have found. The bumpers, chrome and trim are in good original condition and have never been re-chromed. INTERIOR: The interior is almost all original. Only the black fabric insert of the bottom of the front seat was replaced. The seats show normal wear for the age and mileage, and the fabric portions of the seats do have some small splits here and there. I thought about reupholstering the seats but I wanted to keep as much originality as possible. The dash, door panels, headliner and carpet and original floor mats are all in good original condition. ELECTRICAL: Everything works except for the clock. Even the original tube-radio works (but sometimes the tuner knob doesn’t want to move the dial.) The battery is brand-new and the generator has been upgraded to a (very expensive) Powergen Powermaster alternator to preserve the original look while dramatically improving electrical function. The original generator is included with the car. MECHANICAL: The engine is original and runs very strong and smooth. The engine compartment is correct and unmolested. The transmission and brakes are in excellent working order. The tires are in very good condition. The air conditioning blows nice and cold. As with virtually all old cars, it does leave a few drips of oil when parked for awhile. TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and licensed as a Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means that you must complete various sales and title transfer forms with me, which can be done in person or through the mail. DOCUMENTATION FEE: A flat fee of $100 is charged on all vehicle purchases to cover postage, preparing paperwork and forms, and other dealer costs. This fee cannot be waived. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer. SALES TAX: If you live in Florida or are picking up the car in Florida I am required to collect the applicable sales tax and tag/title fees. DriveTrip Odometer This is a very high quality original 1961 Cadillac Six Window Sedan Deville. This is not a restored car -- it is a well preserved original that was lovingly cared-for throughout its life. The odometer reads just 63,195 miles. The previous owner told me that this is the correct original mileage and I see no reason to doubt it. This car is a genuine pleasure to drive -- it is like stepping back through a time-warp. It was always garage-kept and it retains its pleasant antique car patina inside. BODY / FLOORS / FRAME: This is an extremely solid car. The fit of the doors, hood and trunk lid are excellent and the body is very straight. The trunk, floors, frame and undercarriage are all original and completely solid. I don’t see any rust-through anywhere under the car. PAINT / CHROME: This car was repainted approximately five years ago in its original color. It is a very nice paint job and has no chips, scratches or dents that I have found. The bumpers, chrome and trim are in good original condition and have never been re-chromed. INTERIOR: The interior is almost all original. Only the black fabric insert of the bottom of the front seat was replaced. The seats show normal wear for the age and mileage, and the fabric portions of the seats do have some small splits here and there. I thought about reupholstering the seats but I wanted to keep as much originality as possible. The dash, door panels, headliner and carpet and original floor mats are all in good original condition. ELECTRICAL: Everything works except for the clock. Even the original tube-radio works (but sometimes the tuner knob doesn’t want to move the dial.) The battery is brand-new and the generator has been upgraded to a (very expensive) Powergen Powermaster alternator to preserve the original look while dramatically improving electrical function. The original generator is included with the car. MECHANICAL: The engine is original and runs very strong and smooth. The engine compartment is correct and unmolested. The transmission and brakes are in excellent working order. The tires are in very good condition. The air conditioning blows nice and cold. As with virtually all old cars, it does leave a few drips of oil when parked for awhile. TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and licensed as a Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means that you must complete various sales and title transfer forms with me, which can be done in person or through the mail. DOCUMENTATION FEE: A flat fee of $100 is charged on all vehicle purchases to cover postage, preparing paperwork and forms, and other dealer costs. This fee cannot be waived. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer.
