1989 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, 41K, Documented 2nd Owner. GREAT CAR. i got this car from Lambert Jones Cadillac in La Salle illinois 61301 in 1999 as the second owner. The original New owner could no longer drive and as a long time customer Lambert Jones had it 4 sale for her as a just a nice thing to do. Was a stack of service records from day 1 mostly wash, wax, and lube ... so i bought it. Today .. Car starts, runs, drives great, and stops. is a wonderful DEPENDABLE daily driver that gets a lot of OOhs & Ahhhs and How Much ??? where ever i go. im gonna move to a place where don't need a car so here it is 4 sale. Do not; have not driven it very much, changed the oil, kept it up, always been garaged, it does not has not been out in the Salt or Snow of Slop of Winter here in north central illinois and seldom in even rain. so its a pretty darn good car. Has in addition to the usual Cadillac Fleetwood options stuff like ... 60/40 Split Leather Front Seat, Power Mirrors, Auto Climate Control, Cassette Player. "Tilt Control" .... 5 Liter ... 307 V-8 Decent Gas Mileage, ORIGINAL Uniroyal Gold Seal Tires which i still use, Had Carb rebuilt by the Godfather of local Carbs, new front brake pads, flush and change coolant, trans oil & filter, etc when i got it. Whats i need to drive away??? ... Nothing. What could it use ... if Gona do some Highway then new tires, about do for an oil change, Orange check engine light ( about 3 years now ... 1989 Cadillac Brougham, approximately 90,000 miles on the body. 1st place Car show Winner! Newer 350 cu.i. small block chevy motor, 4 barrel Rochester carb, edelbrock performer intake, comp cam, high energy ignition, headers, dual exhaust, thrush glass-packs. Engine rebuilt, bored, high compression pistons, approximately 10,000 miles on motor and trans. trans is a rebuilt 4L60/ 700R4, with a shift improvement kit. Have made several trips from Chicago to Alabama with no trouble. Interior is in very good shape. leather, no cracks in seats, dash, etc. two small flaws in door panels, hard to notice. Paint is fair- checking on hood, as was common on these years. also has the typical surface rust on passenger side fender lip- I've taken steps to prevent it from getting worse. Vinyl top is in good shape. nearly new tires with lots of tread on them. This Caddy is MUCH faster than she was when she was built with the 307 Oldsmobile motor. Sounds GREAT, and will light up the tires at a stop sign no problem. Includes Tach, not wired in. Bumper fillers/ extensions (the rubber part behind the taillight) are available for about $200 as a pair at caddydaddy.com needs A/C compressor, But the one that went bad is under warranty, so you'll just have to swap a new one out and charge the system. it's been converted to the new refrigerant. New low beam headlights. I built this car to run well mechanically, without the use of complicated on board computers. So there is no longer any kind of computer running this car, just pure American mechanical know-how. That being said, there is no longer an electronic limiter, meaning she will go as fast as she possibly can. I have no idea how fast that is- the speedometer on my GPS only goes to 100. Selling my 1987 white Cadillac Brougham. It has a white exterior with red leather interior. The odometer reads around 123000 miles, but the motor and carburetor have less than 500 miles. Originally, the car had the 5.0 307 engine that came from the factory. Last winter I installed a 6.0 403 Olds engine from a 79 Firebird for some extra power. The engine is a new rebuild and runs good. The carburetor has been rebuilt as well. It does not leak or burn oil. The transmission pan has had a drain plug installed, and it shifts fine, especially with this new motor. All other motor parts are practically new as well. The car has a new alternator (rated for 403), new radiator (403), new AC compressor and cylinder (307), and a new power steering pump. The exhaust is a Flowmaster single pipe with the catalytic converter removed. It sounds fantastic with the bigger engine. Notes: I've received questions about the overheating problems with some 403 engines, but this one does not have such an issue. I installed a larger radiator rated for the 403, and it has been infared tested. The temperature stays right around 180 degrees, and I have had no problems with overheating. Also, the AC has not been recharged since the motor swap, but all the blowers work, and the heat still works just fine. The car has an E&G Custom Classic grille (original grille included upon request) and new wide white wall tires, purchased fall of 2013 with very low miles. These tires weren't cheap since the larger white walls have to be special ordered. Trunk in great condition with full size spare and all the jack parts. The carpet will need to be cleaned, but there are no tears in the material. The stereo amplifier is installed behind the passenger side panel and is out of sight. The interior is in fantastic shape except for the driver armrest. It has a crack in the leather, and I never got it mended. The interior also has low profile red neon lights under the dash and under the seats in the back for a cool look while driving at night. This definitely turns heads. For the stereo I installed a Pioneer CD deck that is iPod ready. For speakers I have JL Audio 6x9's in the rear and 6.5" components in the front. This was a custom install with tweeters in the dash and 6.5" speakers in the doors. All speakers have Dynamat surrounding them. The speakers are also powered via a 4 channel RE Audio Amplifier installed in the trunk panel. I also installed a Big Dog Keyless Entry system with trunk popper, which is very convenient in the age of remote entry. This was a professional install at my local Best Buy. I haven't had any problems with it, and I would install this on any older car I own after owning this one. The trunk popper and door lock/unlock are utilized, but the car doesn't have a security system so the panic button is not used. The exterior is great for it's age, but there are a few small rust spots beginning to show. One of the rear bumper fillers also has some damage, but it is still attached and isn't breaking off yet. I never got around to replacing it. Other than that this is a great car, and it is my daily driver, but I am going to begin another project. Sure to turn some heads, and it's great for cruising!
