96 RMW 96k Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate Wagon iwith 96k two owner miles. Collector's Edition like every other '96 Buick Roadmaster. Lifelong Florida car. Car has a salvage title due to getting hit on the right front fender and bumper - since body parts are not available new, these total easily, but I hoard parts for these cars and good parts which I installed. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 & G80 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but has no hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket.) Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice with no notable dings. Front bumper stainless trim has a small ding on the driver's side. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips or cracks. Original Sungate windshield. Undercarriage is extremely solid with no rust - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal and tailgate sill and door jambs (areas where these cars tend to rust) are flawless as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in good shape with no pitting but a little staining. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice and reflective of low miles. Dash has no cracks and is still shiny. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is still soft, some wear on driver's seat as seen in pics. Carpet in seating area is very nice, cargo deck carpet in good shape. Headliner is nice - not sagging - no tears. Steering wheel is in nice shape. No smoke or pet odors. Has all four factory floormats in super nice shape. Exceptionally nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) The power antenna doesn't work (you can raise and lower manually), but all other power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats with power recliners and power lumbar control, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely as you'd expect of low miles. Steering is tight, alignment is dead on, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings all around. Tires have about 20% tread remaining on a matched set of good quality whitewall radials. New lower ball joints, recently aligned (with good specs report from Firestone.) Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in exceptionally nice shape as expected of low miles. The ONLY complaints are a small cut in the vinyl on the back of the drivers seat, and some discoloration on the hump on the rear seat carpet. Dash has no cracks. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is still soft. Carpet in seating area is very nice, sports all 4 original floormats in good shape, and cargo deck carpet in good shape with a couple minor stains. Small scuff on tailgate trim. I am selling my 1992 Roadmaster Limited Sedan. I am the second owner of this car. I bought it in 2008 with 137K miles. I restore old Buicks and this last of the big bodied GM cars was always a favorite of mine. I restore old cars and Buicks are my favorite. I have definitely taken very good care of this car.The car is beautiful Sapphire Blue Metallic with navy leather interior and a slightly lighter navy carpet. Custom navy carpet mats come with the car. Electric seats with lumbar adjustments are on both front seats and fully functional.The car is in Good ++ condition with only a few age related detractors. The Limited edition was top of the line and came with ALL power options and leather interior. I upgraded to the premium alloy rims with Michelin tires. The car has the tow package transmission but no trailer hitch. It is a 5 speed automatic transmission. At 70 mph the overdrive turns the engine at only 1500 rpms with gives a quiet ride and about 23 mpg - very good for a full sized car as the Roadmaster shared the same body with the Cadillac Fleetwood. The Limited package also included full instrumentation with tachometer, water temperature, and battery charging gauges. The headlights turn on and off automatically with an exit delay, automatic dimming rear view mirror, and a digital compass. Cruise control functions properly. The car comes with the original AC Delco Concert Sound radio.The car drives beautifully and leaks no fluids. It has been garage kept all its life. Even the engine compartment is clean. A/C works very well as do all the power accessories. The back two windows can sometime go down a little slanted but this does not affect their operation.There is a small hole in the leather on the driver's bolster that has not grown since I got the car. There are few road paint chips and 2 parking lot dings in the front passenger's door - one is larger than the other. There is a dent to the chrome trim piece at the front passanger's bumper where the previous owner bumped his garage door.. This is not very noticeable - just wanted to mention. JI replaced the carpet within the last year as well as a new Delco battery. The alternator and water pump were also changed with in the last 10K miles as part of routine maintenance. Maintenance has been done by me in my shop (I have 7 other cars - 4 of them being Buicks).There is no rust on the car and the trunk is clean. Automatic pull down trunk works and there is a full spare. I have records for all I have done for the car since I purchased it.The car is dependable and has been driven throughout the southeast to antique car shows.The price is based on the NADA book value with $ 5150.00 for the Limited with premium wheels. I have adjusted the price because of the few age related detractors.
