1983 Buick Riviera convertible - this is one beautiful car white with white top and red leather interior this car has the looks - the paint has a good shine and shows well ( it has been reapainted) no accidents - no damage - clean auto check the interior is very pretty and in good shape the engine compartment is clean and looks good the trunk area is very clean as well the underside is clean and nice the tires are very good the convertible top is fairly new so it is in great shape the mileage shows 67,144 the title reads exempt that is normal for a car over 20 years old this riviera is a great car to take to local car shows or just show off in it is loaded with all power options including power windows power door locks tilt wheel cruise control center console cold a/c the a/c works great as does the original radio the only thing i see is the windshield wipers work when they want sometimes they work fine other time you have to play with the switch the passenger taillight lens has about a 7 inch crack in it this is not a perfect car ( none of them are ) all cars of this age has little things here and there but overall a great car especially for the price - this car is available to view and inspect at anytime before purchase even bring your mechanic like all classic cars this car is sold as is - no warranty this car will sell quickly - i have a great buy it now price on this car it is priced to sell and best of all it will be delivered free right to you ( usually takes anywhere from 3-10 days depending on your location . this is one pretty car .

"RARE" Riviera CONVERTIBLE in Excellent Condition , Always Garaged and Properly Maintained and Serviced . Only driven on Sunny Days when the top could be down . Looks Great , Runs Great . The Convertible Top is Good , Tires are good . The Engine is Quiet and Powerful , The Transmission is Strong ,Responsive and Shifts Properly . Transmission was Recently Serviced , New fluid , Filter & Gasket . This Car is Especially Quiet for a Convertible , No Squeaks , No Rattles . It is DRY , No Leaks . Door Seals were recently replaced . Original Leather Interior is Flawless and the Dash has NO cracks . Air Conditioner blows Cold , A/C Accumulator & A/C Cycling Switch replaced last Month and System Re-Charged . Also last Month the Brake Rotors , Brake Pads & Master cylinder were replaced . The Original Jack ,Lug Wrench & Spare Tire Have never been used . 1982 Buick Riviera Convertible: 41,944 Original miles. The car was born in Michigan, reared in North Carolina. Buick made the base automobile, sent approximatley 1,100 base Rivieras to a custom coach-maker to get around the then Federal moratorium on "convertibles". It has been stored in a conditioned garage under a cover it's whold life as the condition of the interior / exterior shows. Original top with glass rear window, the car is pristine. Electric antennae non-functional, original radio plays like new. The rear seat windows need some manual help on occasion, but the glass and carriers are sound. The car has power everything, as did most Rivieras. New exhaust system, fan belts, tires, and battery - otherwise as original. It has been a fun "Sunday" driver for several years for me, but it is time for someone else to enjoy putting the top down and let the wind thru your hair.

If you know these cars and start looking into options... you will quickly realize what this car represents... Very much a needle in the haystack of cars Not many, if any I know of, are optioned like this one. This is one of 500 factory Riviera Convertibles made for 84 which only 47 where made with the desirable and reliable V6 3.8L Turbo. Only 11 are known of today. The only color option was red or white. The Buick Riviera convertible was built from 82-85. Much like the 84-85 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, these cars were factory built but are done by the ASC Corp in conjunction with General Motors. The more desired and rare years are 84-85s. Although the Eldorado is a very collectible low production car, the Riviera is even lower with a total of 2100 Eldorados in 84 and 500 Rivieras in 84. 500 seems to be the # that really sets cars off in the collectible category... and the Convertible Riv is certainly there! Now what makes the Buick a little better car to own is the fact they offered the 3.8l turbocharged engine as their power plant. This car here has that engine. Compared to the Cadillac HT4100, there is no comparison. Sad but true fact that cannot be disputed. Although the 3.8L Turbo is like a race car engine in the many cars it was used in like the GNX, Grand National. Compared to the eldorado the riviera is much lighter and smaller making the Riviera quite peppy. This is what really set the Riv off over the Eldorados.. and its a shame this engine was not offered in the Cadillac. To take it a step further and this applies to the Eldorado Convertibles too... the suspensions and gearing on the convertible are what is called the touring suspension on the coupe. If you have driven a regular Riv or Eldorado but not a touring option car.... is a night and day difference. These handle very well, do not bounce all over the place and with the quicker gears... were more than adequately fun to drive on performance. The paint looks stunning. The interior including the top has also been redone. The original engine was in great shape and running condition so it was simply pulled, re-sealed and re-installed. The tires are in great shape with very few miles. The electronics in the car including windows and top seem to all work even the power antenna. Also has the factory GM CB radio. I Recently bought a collection of car from WA State and Shipped them to NJ. The Riviera has had little use since 2006. Although not perfect it's extremely clean and very rare. Ready for car shows. ( A weekend detailing the engine bay would really set the car off. New Battery was just installed. Odometer: The last owner states the mileage to be true.
