I have a very nice 1955 Buick Special 46R Riviera that I've decided to sell. I am believed to be the 2nd owner. I have the original paperwork and the original receipt from when it was bought new. It is all original, except for the modern headlight upgrades and an electric fuel pump(the electric pump is only used to prime the fuel system after the car has been in storage-saves cranking time). This car runs and drives very nice. The 322 Nailhead V8 doesn't smoke or knock and the dynaflow transmission moves this big car down the highway easily(the dynaflow doesn't shift). There are NO issues with the reverse gear(a weak link of a dynaflow). I have taken this car on many long roadtrips and it has never let me down. The Coker radial tires are like new with no uneven wear and lots of tread. This is a base car so no power windows, A/C, brakes, or steering. Although all of those could be added without problem. The speedometer went haywire in the middle of a long trip and quite working so the actual miles are unknown. The gas gauge goes straight to full so I'm guessing that it's there's a grounded wire somewhere. The gas tank is new. All other gauges work as they should. Floor heater under the front seat works good but the dash blower doesn't come on(it has 2 heaters). Paint and a poor body repair was done over 25 years ago and needs to be redone. The paint looks good in the pics but is cracked, faded, and stained. I have purchased NEW patch panels to repair the rusted areas(cost $500!). There is NO rust anywhere else in the car that isn't pictured. The floors, trunk, rockers, headlight buckets, and frame are all rust free. The chrome has normal slight pitting and the front bumper has peeling in a couple spots(see pics). I would consider this to be a very nice 'driver quality' car that is fun to take to car shows and drive on weekends. With the new panels installed and new paint, this would be a show car. this is a true barn find ,, It has been in storage since last plated in 1984 when the fuel pump went out . The guy that had car had owned from mid 70s until we pulled it out of his garage . The car is showing 60000 thousand original miles was told by owner these were in fact the original miles.. from the looks under hood and interior wear I believe this to be true .. the car needs restoration or you could do new exhaust a windshield and some brake work and have a really cool driver . we pulled car out and brought it home were I put new fuel pump points and condenser in it and the motor purrs like a really angry kitten no smoke. rattles. or any undo noises ,, the interior is in great original cond ,very useable as is but could use a new headliner do to a couple small holes ,, .Trunk pans and floorpans seem very solid ,, I have not pulled out carpet or trunk liner ,as they are in good cond and I don't want to tear them up ,, from underneath they look very sound,, The body is pretty darn solid with minor rust over rear wheel wells and minor rust in front fender bottoms ,,all chrome is there and in decent shape for rechroming , I have the original wheels for car but they need attention ,, the tires are may pops that a shame because they were new when parked in 84 ,, I have done the best I know to do with the description of the car ,but as always please feel free to ask any and all questions before bidding or buying . as I want all purchasers to be happy my name is rich my no is 314 704 4210 thanks and good luck

1964 Buick riviera blue with nice white interior. This car was painted 14 years ago so has a few small bubbles in the paint work but overall still shines quite nicely. The interior has new door cards and the front and rear seats were recovered. The dash pad was also recovered with no cracks. The transmission was rebuilt and the heads were done in the past. It runs great with no problems. New springs were installed which lower the car 3 inches. Also new ball joints were installed. This car has a power drivers seat, power windows and a power antenna. The radio was replaced with a sony CD unit. New carpeting in the trunk. This is not a show car but a great running vehicle that can be used daily. The chrome is original to the car.
