Please do not bid or buy-it-now unless you fully intend to purchase this vehicle. I will be out of town from May 23-29 and will be unavailable to show or sell the car at that time. However, I will be able to answer emails and phone calls of course. My name is Brad and my phone number is 562-240-9055 Up for sale is my 1971 Buick Riviera. It is an unmolested, correct, highly collectible 1971 boat tail Riviera. The 1971 model year of the Riviera is the most valuable and collectible, and for good reason. It was the only model year with the stylish trunk louvers and arguably the best looking bumpers. It also featured the most horsepower of all the boat tail Rivieras. This vehicle proudly wears its original factory paint job and chrome, all in excellent condition. Better yet, the paint color scheme is black and white, a desirable and classy combination unlike the dull brown and green styles that were so common with these Rivieras. The vinyl roof is original as well and is in perfect condition. This is without a doubt one of the nicest original boat tail Rivieras in existence. This vehicle has just 42,814 actual, authenticated miles, verified by the DMV and written right on the title. I purchased it from an elderly couple in Lake Isabella CA. They had owned it for many years and always garaged it and took great care of it. The original owner was a lady named Lucille, who, as the story goes, was the quintessential "little old lady" who only sparingly used the car for running errands and of course always kept it garaged. Mechanically, this car is flawless and can be trusted to drive anywhere. The previous owner had his mechanic go through the car from front to back to make sure everything was right. The engine and transmission are original, never rebuilt, and functioning perfectly. I did a compression test on the engine and all eight cylinders showed PSI ratings in the 130's, just as they should. It starts, runs, idles, and drives beautifully. The brakes are absolutely incredible, better than any other classic car I've driven. I also recently had the suspension and steering professionally inspected at Long Beach Wheel Alignment by Arturro, the owner himself. It passed with flying colors and was given a fresh alignment. Tires were replaced very recently and are in excellent condition. This car comfortably cruises down the interstate with no shakes or wobbles, just a pleasure to drive. No modifications have been made to the stock suspension, so you get the exact driving experience Buick intended in 1971. The interior is simply stunning. The dash is perfect and shiny, the gauges are crystal clear, and everywhere you look and touch is nice. The seats are plush and comfortable, and there are seat belts for six. It even has that intoxicating classic car aroma!A few more details:-Rust free California car. There's no rust on the body, underneath, or anywhere else.-Runs 87 octane unleaded gasoline right from the factory-Quiet, stock-style exhaust system with new mufflers-Cold original AC, so cold I often find myself turning down the fan speed while driving-Perfect climate control system, hot heat, defrost, vents, etc-Windshield wipers work perfectly-New edelbrock carburetor, distributor, pertronix ignitor, spark plugs, all filters. I have the original quadrajet carburetor and air cleaner that will be included in the sale-New 5-core radiator and complete coolant system flush-New lightweight flex fan designed specifically to pull maximum airflow at idle. No overheating issues whatsoever.-Perfect glass, including original windshield with fully functional internal antenna wire-Power windows and power seat all work nicely-All lights work, headlights, brights, turn signals, reverse lights, brake lights, dash lights, even every single interior light when you open the doors. -High-end Pioneer CD player tucked conveniently in the glove compartment, remote included. New 4x6 dual stereo dash speaker designed specifically for the boat tail Rivieras. New Pioneer 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. This stereo sounds amazing.-Original Buick mag wheels-Original radio unmolested in dash-All body panels line up precisely, no whistles or rattles while driving, tight weatherstripping. Doors, door handles, hood, and trunk all close and open perfectly and tightly. -Car is currently registered and has a clean and clear CA title in my name. Final mileage may vary slightly from this ad as I do drive the car sparinglyA final note, please, no solicitors, scammers, or games. As with any 44 year old car, there are a few badges of authenticity. There is a tiny ding in the passenger rear quarter panel that most people wouldn't even notice unless they are specifically looking for it. And there have been some very very minor touchups in the original paint over the years. The vehicle is available for test drives and inspections most evenings after 5pm and any time on the weekends. The vehicle is located in Long Beach CA and I am a private seller. My name is Brad and my phone number is 562-240-9055. The car is available for sale locally, so this listing may end at any time. I will sell locally or internationally and have no problem arranging shipping with a buyer. If you want the car, call me up and let's talk. Thank you very much.
