Going up for sale today is my beautiful 1965 Buick Riviera GS. Really a pretty awesome car finished in a very dark menacing green with black interior. Originally a 425 cubic inch car with dual quads. Someone blew the engine in the early years of the car and an engine from a 1970 Riviera was installed in the car. So it currently has a 455 cubic inch engine that was completely rebuilt only 6000 miles ago and it shows. It runs and drives very nice with plenty of get up and go. A real pleasure to drive and has a nice exhaust note but not overbearing. Please take the time to view my video and all the photos if you are interested in purchasing this fine, rare automobile. It was traded into me about a week ago and after driving it all around here for a few days it is going into winter storage today. Paint and interior are in outstanding condition with only a few small blemishes in a few small spots around the car, certainly nothing a camera would pick up. Condition: This car for sale with VIN 494877H941102 has been garaged kept since it was first purchased by a proud couple in Washington State. It has also been well maintained mechanically which is documented by the pile of original paperwork. Included is the original BUICK GM factory production order sheet that documents build features. The "Exclusive Riviera Fawn" paint is in amazing condition. The car has had one repaint, and it looks wonderful both up close and far away. The black interior is in excellent shape and is all original (drivers side armrest shows some wear). This solid survivor is sporting a sleek black vinyl top that is in phenomenal condition. From the trunk, spare wheel well, engine compartment, and underside, it is all in great pure survivor form. Chrome and stainless steel adornments remain in spectacular order and the original/correct Buick Rally wheels are in top notch condition. A GREAT 1964 Riviera The Buick Riviera’s are great classic cars but this one is clearly a step above the norm for these collectible vehicles. Our ’64 model stands out for a number of reasons: · Finished in stunning Regal Black; · Built with the 465 Wildcat engine; · Paint, Chrome and Interior all very nice; and · Used by dentist as a parade car. Paint and Chrome The Regal Black paint is in very nice condition with straight and well-aligned body panels [particularly important on a black car where any imperfection is immediately apparent]. The chrome and stainless are all in very nice condition. The body and underside of the car appears to be free of corrosion other than surface rust (see pictures), and the engine compartment is appropriately detailed. Interior The white vinyl seat upholstery is in excellent condition as is the rest of the interior including the dash pad and headliner. Engine This Riviera is a lion in sheep’s clothing: while most of the earlier Rivieras had a 401 cubic inch engine, this car has the Wildcat 465 engine (465 ft/lbs of torque and 425 cid). Despite its quickness, it is smooth-running and a pleasure to drive. Transmission The car’s Super Turbine automatic transmission shifts properly and, with the large engine, effortlessly. Tires, Brakes, Safety and Monitoring Systems The car is equipped with B.F. Goodrich P225/75R15 narrow whitewall radial tires that have plenty of tread remaining. There is, of course, power steering and power brakes to make driving effortless. All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges work properly. Similarly, the lights, horn, wipers and turn signals all work, although the clock, radio and heater will require attention. Beautiful example of the ‘60s businessman’s luxury sports car – the 1967 Riviera. This car is a pleasure to drive and looks great – great smooth cruiser with great handling and good power. It has been upgraded is a number of ways (see details below) to make it a great daily driver. I love it the way it is but it is not perfect: paint is faded and could use a respray, dash is nice but a couple of small cracks in the pad; steering wheel has a couple of cracks also; the previous owner said that the bumpers were new but just recently I noticed an issue with some of the chrome in the front and back. Sold to me as a “GS” but I don’t think it actually was; however, it came with the Star Wars air cleaner; I added a 3.42 posi rear gear and sway bars; as far as I know, those were the material upgrades that made it a “GS” anyway. Up for sale is a 1998 Buick Riviera in White Diamond Tri-coat with sandstone leather seating, chrome rims, and a factory 3.8L Supercharged V6. The car is one owner and was driven all its life by an older lady in our family. This car has been good to her all its life, but the owner recently decided to treat herself to a new Buick, so she needs to sell this one. Being that it was driven by an older lady, there have been a total of three minor parking lot incidents which resulted in painting the right side of the car twice and repairing the hood once - this will be evident in the car history included in the ad. Otherwise, this car has never been in any major collision on a roadway. Additionally, the cup holder lid on the center console will not stay closed, the driver side mirror is darker in color (due to heated mirrors), there is a dime-size paint bubble where the front fender meets the front bumper and a new muffler seal is needed as there is a slight leak. These are the only issues that I am aware of on this vehicle and I'm being as transparent as possible so there are no surprises. In terms of the transmission and engine, everything is smooth and runs as it should. It still gets around 23 mpg combined. No check engine lights. The Riviera shifts smoothly, has a nice ride, ample power, and very low road noise. There are no tears in the leather (people rarely sat in the rear), it is a non-smoker car, the stereo system is basically new (old owner was deaf and never used the radio), and the car has the factory chrome rims with the hard to find factory Riviera center caps (not the aftermarket ones). Also, a remote starter was installed so the vehicle could be warmed or cooled from within the house! This car has had all of its regular maintenance including oil changes every 3,000 miles. It also has an up to date New York State inspection. There are many new parts which include: a new water pump, new power steering pump and power steering fluid hoses, new alternator, new belts, new intake manifold gasket, new supercharger gasket, new fuel pump, and new rear air shocks all within the past year. The radiator was also replaced 2 years ago. The A/C is working and is ice-cold with climate control and dual-zone control. Leather seats with black piping was the standard trim on this beautiful sported up version. Brushed Aluminum trim inside replaced the wood grain that the lesser models had. For 1978, a special "LXXV" edition was released to commemorate Buick's 75th anniversary on the market. Production total was 2,889 and included special silver & black paint with gray leather seats with black trim, brushed chrome trim, deep pile carpeting and special LXXV name plates.Last year the Riviera was rear wheel drive.
