I am selling this 1987 V8 Regal Limited that I drove from Asheboro N.C. to my home in Hilton NY several months ago. Nice driving car. Front end is tight. This is a real 33,500 mile vehicle. The limited option includes the pillow type interior, power 60/40 seat, windows, locks, tilt, cruise, air, stereo. Paint is faded. Vinyl top is heat cracked. The never used front license bracket is in the trunk. Runs quiet and tight. Muffler and tail pipe are new. Battery is recent. Starts and drives good. Still has original valve cover sealant from factory. Back then GM did not use gaskets on the valve covers. Needs new valve cover gaskets and they are included. This vehicle has a rust free frame and body only having light surface rust in spots. No accidents or frame damage!! All of its life was spent in North Carolina. It seems to spool up quicker now and the midrange is definitely stronger post tune-up. So, the tune-up got us about two-tenths quicker to 60 mph.Braking: The brakes were best when they were cool. As the number of stops increased, so did the stopping distances. Pedal feel is nearly nonexistent and lock-up (skidding) grew harder and harder to avoid despite my best efforts. I miss ABS.Handling:Skid pad: Pretty mild steady-state understeer here. I had to get used to surging from the turbo, but eventually managed to keep the throttle steady all the way around. Steering weight is light, yet I could feel the front tires' grip ebbing. It did puke a little oil during/after the skid pad. We double-checked the level and it was fine. Also did an underhood inspection and found some oil on the right valve cover from the breather. I sopped it up with a rag and sent it on its way home.Slalom: Obviously new shocks and new tires helped here. Hard to imagine saying this after the last '87 Buick Grand National I tested, but this car is a confident and capable handler. Not sure if I'd give all the credit to the tires because there's also so little slack in the steering (comparatively speaking) and the chassis feels compliant and forgiving (shocks). Up for sale is a rare sage green on sage 85 buick regal . It has been garage kept since new and is not all rusted out like most you will find. I included a picture with the carpet removed to show how clean this car really is. The doors are also in excellent shape and close fantastic. The interior is in nice overall shape even the headliner is good. All of the bright work is in very good shape is not all water marked . The bumper fillers were deteriorated like most have have been discarded . Even though they are not pictured i have all the hardware for the fillers and the corner marker lights are included. Mechanicly the car runs drives and stops great, and the battery is only a few months old .
