This is a Sloan documented 1970 Buick GS455, one of 5589 Hardtops produced that year. It is a Carolina car, never any northern rust. The car was restored (Frame On) in 2012/2013 when it was stripped to bare metal and disassembled down to the bare body leaving only the drive train intact. It is in high #2 condition and one of the nicest examples in the country that you can actually drive and enjoy. Show winner fist-time out. Color is Fire Red, paint code 75, with a black vinyl top, just as it came from the factory. Bumpers are show chrome and all stainless trim is original and polished out. All wiring harnesses were replaced, front to back. No expense was spared in doing this car the right way. No corners cut, all quality workmanship and materials used. The engine is original to the car and was rebuilt to Stage1 specs and has maybe 3000 miles on it since the rebuild, same with the TH400 transmission. The rear end is a 12 bolt, 3:73 posi unit. The AC is complete and includes a new compressor but will need to be charged with either R12 or 134A, your choice. All upholstery was redone including seats, headliner, carpeting and door panels, as was all rubber weatherstripping and seals. A Buick, factory 8 track tape player was installed as part of the restoration and plays like new through the radio speakers using the factory wiring harness. No hang-on unit or external speakers allowed here. Tilt wheel, map-reading light and the optional sport wheel are 3 of the more desirable options that come on this car along with power steering and power front disc brakes. The suspension was upgraded with Hotchkis and Global West components which makes the car ride and handle like a new car. It sticks to the road and corners with no roll or sway. The frame is street-clean; the car is driven and not a trailer queen. Tires are BF Goodrich TA's, R235/15's mounted on flawless Buick Rally wheels. The car actually runs and drives like new, no rattles or squeaks, very strong and fast like a GS455 should be and has that great muscle car sound. If you are looking for a beautiful 1970 GS455, the best year ever, look no further. Lots of receipts and documentation are included, along with plenty of conversation if you are truly interested. You will be totally responsible for all shipping costs but I will help coordinate the process as best I can on my end. A $2000 deposit within 24 hours of the auction's end will be required via Paypal unless otherwise arranged, or the car will be relisted.
