Here is a 1968 Buick Skylark Custom 2 Door Hardtop. This Skylark is in excellent condition. The body is all original with no rust or bondo and the floors and frame are also rust free. The engine/transmission/axle are also original and it runs and drives great. The 350ci V8 starts right up and runs smoothly with no smoking or issues. Stays cool and has no leaks that I am aware of. It has been well maintained over the years. Transmission shifts exactly as it should and the kick down works properly. The power steering is tight and the power brakes work well. The interior is all original and the seats, door panels, and headliner are all excellent as shown. Comes with a set of Buick Rally wheels but it has the proper 68 wheel covers on it too. It really needs nothing to get in and drive it as it sits. Original A/C Skylark and everything is in place for the A/C but there is no belt on the compressor and it has been that way for years. Drives great and it looks great. Clean California title included. Hard to find in this condition with no rust or repairs/patches. Great body lines, this Skylark gets a lot of compliments. I took over 80 photos and a video a couple days ago to show it thoroughly. The original grill is gone and that is the only thing that was changed. All of the trim and bright work is in place and in great shape. It has the rear fender skirts as well. Lights and gauges work. Located in San Diego, California. International bidders accepted. You are looking at a remarkable 1958 Buick Century Four door hardtop. One of the most glitziest cars every made in the age of fins and chrome. It is finished in an original two-tone of Artic White over Sky Blue Metallic. The styling is so outlandish, that the rear doors seem to disappear, giving the car an appearance of a 2 door car. This particular car has lead a charmed life. Treated to a professional restoration in the past, it took best of show at the 1999 Buick Club of America national convention. That speaks volumes of the attention to detail that went into this car. You can see an example of this level of detail in the photo showing the rear axle. The factory color stripping, indicating what ratio rear end is in the car, can been in that photo. This restoration has held up extremely well. The car is showing 52K miles and I believe its accurate but you make the call. The paint, chrome and interior still looks excellent and you could take it to car show and probably win a trophy. It's that nice. The item that could use some attention would be the headliner as it shows some staining, but it is original. Additionally, the brake booster is giving the brake pedal a hard feeling. It was recently rebuilt , but does need to be removed again for adjustment. Other than that, get in and drive it home. It would cost you a fortune to restore a car like this to this level due to all the beautiful chrome and stainless. First off this is a 1 or 2 owner car that is just absolutly Beautiful! I believe the paint and Interior Top and all are Original. If the touched anything up they did near Factory or better job. The Red Paint with the White Convertible Top looks Great together and really makes the car stand out when you are cruising down the road.. I truly believe that it is all original. There are a couple of dents as you will see in the pics and the video. But the paint still has a lot of shine left in it But to be "Nice" You will Repaint. I DO NOT Repaint on a car like this it is Invaluable to be able to see on somethng you are buying like this that the body is not all rusted out such This Car is CLEAN and you can see on the orig condition Not all rustd up! The Power Convertible Top works great, the top does need replaced as the back window has fallen out, but it’s in great working order goes up and down by itself May need some adjustment . We have made sure that the car was covered with a tarp at all times to make sure the Beautiful White leather interior was kept nice and clean like it should be..;-) This car has the big 455 V8 engine that sounds mean as can be. It fires right up and floats down the road like a dream . The upshift and down shift is smooth as can be, and if you’re not careful you will roast the tires when taking off…. No SERIOUSLY its a Beast!! And the Car drives Wonderfully.. On ANY old car I warn people ANYTHING can break at anytime for any reason... Parts on these 455's are easily gotten and cheap as well But hoses belts maybe a starter or Power streering Pump... Maybe in a Year... Maybe a Month.... Maybe Tomorrow. Its going Great rigt now and I have Never had issue Just letting you know NO I would not consider Driving it to FLorida or anything when shipping is cheaper. All of the Chrome is in Great Condition and shines like a diamond. This car has some really cool Options like the Speed Alert that you set at a certin speed and when you go over it Buzzes to slow down. Also it has Cruise Control that is completely seperate from the Speed Alert. ALSO This car has the Ultra rare MAX TRAC Option... Dent on front passenger side. Misc paint chips and dings, couple of flaws in the paint. Scratches on front bumper. Passenger corner of front bumper rubber is broke. Rubber on back bumper shrunk a little. Chrome trim on driver’s door needs clip. Ding in driver’s door. Back passenger widow is a little slow. Carpet is faded in some spots. Hole in the carpet and a little shaggy in some areas. AC needs charged. Rubber seal in trunk needs replaced. Stress mark in front passenger front seat . Brake peddle is chewed up on the side.
