1965 Buick Skylark (Special) Convertible Frame Off Restoration on a California High Desert (no hit / no rust) Car This car is all new throughout except for the rear end Body was stripped to bare metal and base coat clear coat in original color was applied Car was then wet sanded and buffed to a perfect high gloss shine Frame was painted with POR 15 and highly detailed throughout all gaps and fit and finish is perfect with all new rubber weather strips and seals Bumpers new chrome and all stainless polished Convertible top frame was disassembled sanded and painted (not power top) New convertible top high end Hartz Cloth with GLASS rear window installed Interior is all new stock deluxe kit including detailed and painted dash (no radio) Interior has new tilt IDIDIT Column with new power steering box and u joint All origional GM perfect sheet metal Car has a newly rebuilt 350 SBC with mild cam, intake, holley, headers, aluminum heads Exhaust is all new polished stainless steel from front to rear 4 speed muncie trans rebuilt - shifts perfectly with Hurst Comp + Shifter Rear axle is origional to car and is a 3:23 ratio. Oil changed and appears good operates w/o noise All suspension bushings front and rear replaced with new urethane All front suspension components replaced with new parts including rebuilt P/S box, hoses and pump Front suspension has tube a frames, later disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors and new GM calipers Powder coated springs and control arms Rear suspension has boxed control arms and G force sway bar 16 Inch polished American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels with old style knockoffs (not plastic with sticker) This car is as near to perfect as you will find If you are looking for something a little different than all the Chevelles at a car show this car really turns heads!
