1961 Buick LeSabre 9 passenger wagon, all original. This is a very rare 9 passenger model. Only 2,423 9 passenger wagons were sold. Only a hand full are still around, most wagons were discarded, nobody wanted to keep a wagon and most were crushed. 364 ci 6.0 liter V8 Nailhead motor which runs well. Automatic two speed transmission. The motor starts rights and up and idles just fine. The exhaust has a hold just after the y pipe from sitting for so long. Power brakes, power steering, power rear window. 8 track player. Guide-matic is on the dash of this car. Hard to find a wagon with these options. Most wagons were bought bare bones with no options. All original interior. Front seat has a factory cover and the original seat is starting to show its age a little bit underneath, but still in very nice condition (Its splitting a little at the seams). The other two seats are in great condition. I have a factory cover for the middle seat as well. Brakes work very well and have been gone through with new master cylinder and wheel cylinders. The tires are old but all of them hold air and have deep tread. The original spare tire is still in it's factory location along with the jack and lug wrench. I got this car in-directly from the original owner who had passed away. It had been stored in a barn under plastic since the early 1980s. Most everything seems to work, even the radio, wipers, and headlights. To make the car road trip ready it would need new tires and the exhaust is a little loud from sitting for so many years. The 1961 license plates that are on the car have not been registered. In Michigan they could be registered for a very small fee, and it's a lifetime registration for the new owner. I have the matching plates for the front and rear. I have never seen another wagon like this and I look EVERYWHERE. The car has very little rust, however some is located in the front corner of the hood, and the bottom of a couple doors. The floorboards are solid and everything underneath looks to be in very good condition. The gas tank has been removed and treated inside just in case their was rust inside of it. It was re-installed and everything works, even the gas gauge. I can see where their is some bondo in the front fenders from a repair, but it doesn't appear to be very bad. Most of the chrome is in very good condition. Both the front and rear fenders have a small dent, but the rest of the bumper is in very good condition and chrome is very nice. The windshield is in very good condition. I do have the title. Car spent most of its life in Florida before coming to Michigan in late 70s. The car was garaged I believe in 1983 and pulled out of storage in late 2014. You can drive the car as is and have fun with it, or this car would make a great candidate to completely restore. The carpet is in need of repair due to it's age, tires should be replaced and the exhaust needs welded. The car is for sale locally, if you need any further information about the car please call me at 989-385-3950.
