Great sounding header back Magnaflow stainless exhaust. $20K+ invested in the car alone in addition to $15K in performance upgrades. All work professionally done by Active Autowerke and Bimmer Performance Center in Raleigh, NC. You will have a hard time finding a nicer E36 M3. Only known issues are a slight pulley noise (pulley needs to be replaced or needs repacked), needs a new heater valve and the sunroof shade needs to be adjusted but the sunroof works great. Everything else on the car is great. Enthusiast owned. Car is garage kept and has not been smoked in. Will consider reasonable trades. After all, a 2009 BMW M3 dressed in a such a clean and pristine shade of white looks like it's reaching for the upper class, but most of us know that if it wanted to, the mean multi-valve 414 hp V8 can easily take on the toughest muscle cars on the streets. The BMW M3 used to be about hiding aggression beneath an everyday commuter coupe body, but this one doesn't seem to do that job at all. The big, bold budge in the hood, wide body, and quad tailpipes, all come together to remind everyone that there's a Corvette killer within. In fact, M3 fans probably have already spotted the carbon fiber roof, which saves you around 50 lbs over the sunroof coupes, and lowers the center of gravity for better performance on the track, not to mention looks amazing. Of course even if you're not out for the best racetrack M3, the dark weave of the roof is a stunning contrast to the Alpine White paint that has the kind of factory-like luster you'd expect from a car that has a low 17,275 miles since new on the odometer. The dark roof on this coupe is also a nice setup for the black interior, and it's so fresh, we're surprised it's not still wrapped in the factory plastic. Then again, if it were, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the quality of the flawless leather bucket seats. BMW spends a lot of time in the engineering department to make sure that you can power adjust them to strike the perfect balance of keeping you planted during hard cornering, while also being comfortable enough to always take the long way home. Speaking of comfort, this M3 comes loaded with features like automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, heated seats, and a full AM/FM/CD/iPod premium audio navigation and infotainment system. All this modern luxury also means modern safety features such as front airbags, side airbags, and anti-lock brakes. But even with all these luxuries, you'll be reminded this is a true driver's car the moment you grab the three-spoke sports steering wheel (with paddle shift) and watch the crisp dual gauge pod do its dance. But just like any good German-engineered car there are plenty of technological touches that range from the selectable drive modes on the steering wheel, to the carbon fiber accents on the dash. The 4.0-liter V8 under the hood is the largest displacement, and most amount of cylinders, ever allowed in an M3. This might sound like the recipe for a muscle car (and many ways it is!) but BMW is never content with just size to take on all comers. This is a 32-valve, DOHC, and variable valve timing V8 that's rated at 414 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, and it finally red-lines at an amazing 8,300 RPM! Since this coupe has only averaged 3,000 miles per year, we have no doubt none of those ponies have escaped. But it's not just a great V8 that makes it superior. This M3 comes with the optional seven-speed double-clutch automated gearbox, that allows you to shift quicker than a manual via steering wheel paddle shifters (or the console shifter), or you can just leave it in automatic mode for more leisurely shifting. Add to this four-wheel disc brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, speed sensitive power steering, a near 50/50 front/rear weight distribution, and one of the best engineered suspensions around now that's an unbeatable driving package! Has all original paint, with normal, minor dings, dents and scratches but still looks great and turns a lot of heads. It comes with grey leather interior (minor wear and tear on the interior but no rips or tears anywhere). All the carpet and trim is in good shape, and it has factory BMW M-series rubber mats. Equipped with a 3.2L, 333 HP, Inline 6 Engine, and has aftermarket full stainless exhaust that sounds awesome and gets a lot of attention. It has had a recent oil change, recent NC safety inspection, just had a pinion bushing replaced, and has brand new tires as of last Friday. It has always been maintained with factory BMW filters and fluid by German Motor Werks in Spindale, NC. If you have any questions, I can give you my mechanic's number so you can contact him. The wheels are 20" Helo wheels with BMW centers. They have brand new tires, purchased last week. The car has 120,606 miles on it, but will increase slightly, as it is my daily driver. It has high-performance drilled and slotted front and rear brake rotors. The front bumper is the CSL style with the Carbon Fiber Splitters. Sunroof, power locks, power seats, power windows front and back. I've had this car for three years and it has gotten me lots of attention, has been a lot of fun to drive, and has been very dependable, but I am just ready to upgrade to a newer M3. I am a non-smoking woman, so the car has been very well taken care of. I don't drive straight drives, but this car is a lot more fun to drive than a normal automatic because you can shift on the gear shifter, with the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, or put it in automatic mode where it shifts itself (and to everyone listening it sounds just like a normal straight drive). I purchased the car earlier this year from a friend who owned it for 8 years. My original plan was to slowly restore the car.It had been sitting for some time and rarely driven since 2008. Mileage is 157K, off by 30 miles while I was waiting for the updated odometer gears to come in. Recent maintenance-Oil/Filter Changed-Fuel Filter Changed-Plugs Changed -Rebuilt fuel injectors -New battery -Brake fluid flush-Garagistic Upgraded odometer gears The car had a top end rebuild in 2008, less than 2K miles ago, by M Powered Automotive in Cary, now known as Import Motor Works, I have receipts for the work. The car was repainted what I believe is BMW Oxford Green earlier in its life and the paint is starting to show its age from sitting under a cover. The clearcoat is peeling on the roof, hood, and trunk. Original color was Diamond Schwartz. Highlights -Strong running S14 with fresh top end rebuild and timing chain replacement with S50 tensioner -H&R Swaybars -Powerflex front control arm bushings -Southern car with only one bit of corrosion noted below -Leather is in great shape-Stock car with essentially no modifications-Body is extremely straight with only a few small dings Considerations -AC is not working well and blower only works on high. -Dash has one large crack -Sunroof motor needs replacement / Passenger window switch is finicky -Half dollar sized corrosion bubble at windshield cowl (common on E30) -Shifter bushings need replacement -Brake lining light is on due to pad wear sensor (pads have plenty of life) -Rear Muffler needs replacement-CV boots, Alternator, and A/C compressor bushings cracked, Accessory belts should be replaced, leak at oil filter adapter seal and possibly at timing cover -Front Fender lips have cracked paint due to low offset wheels rubbing -1/8” Chip in windshield (repairable) Car is located in Raleigh, NC and I have a clean NC title in my name with no lien. In summary, this is a strong running car and would look great with a repaint. I have highlighted the issues above, but please understand that the car is 24 years old. I have too many cars for my current parking situation and need to sell it. The car is sold as/is and buyer will need to arrange for pickup from Raleigh, NC.
