I'm selling my 2002 BMW E46 M3 SMG Coupe as a parts vehicle after it suffered an interior electrical fire. The fire extinguish itself after it burned most of the dash board and many of the electrical components behind it(but not all). I'm only going to list(the "bad) what IS damaged, what I don't list is in confirmed working order. 92,868 was the final odometer reading. Asking $7,600 oboFirst of all, what's not included with the car:- Eisenmann Sport Muffler(SOLD)- Vorsteiner CSL Boot Lid (SOLD)- Vorsteiner CSL GTR Hood (SOLD))- Side View Mirrors (SOLD)- BBS Wheels/Tires (Not FS)- Rear Valance (SOLD)- Strut Tower Bar (SOLD)- Vorsteiner CSL Front bumper (SOLD)- Clear Corners (SOLD)- LCI Rear Tails (SOLD)Aftermarket Parts you get with/on the car:- CF Fender Gills- LCI Headlights w/ Um-Nitza Predator Orion Angel Eyes- Black Metalic Roof- KW Variant-2 Coilovers w/ adjustable front camber plates, rear spring perches- Ground Control rear control arms, adjustable for camber- H&R 32 mm front 3-way sway bars, 29 mm rear 2-way sway bars- Royal F1 paddle shifters (need to be repainted)- Rasp terminator>X-Pipe section-2 exhaust- Factory Cats- CSL Brake Upgrade all around.The bad:- Entire Dash Board Melted from an electrical fire originating from the instrument cluster- Cluster(Obviously)- EWS Key Transponder(if this wasn't damaged in the fire, the car would START, RUN AND DRIVE perfectly fine. The SMG TCM, HCU and ECU are in good working condition and the car still pulls itself in/out of gear/shifts as commanded(the TCM can not do this without a valid signal from the ECU)- Entire Climate Control System(Blower Assembly, housing, motor, computer, blend/mode doors servos, final stage unit).- Rain Sensor- All Glass(Windshield, Windows, Quarter Windows, Rear Window((darkened in the fire))).- LCM (Light Control Module)- Master Harness*Windows still operate as well as TCM.*Fuse Box is unscathed.- The only reason I'm not fixing the car myself (about $7k in damage(mostly upholstery, instrumentation and climate controls, needed repairs have been assessed) is because the insurance company branded it as parts-only non-transferable when they determined it to be an OTL(Obvious Total Loss). This car is in perfect structural and mechanical condition. Because the car can never legally see the road again, it's only option is to be a parts donor or a track car, neither of which I have time for. This car was BABIED until this happened in late June. Car was driven the day before this happened. Cluster was all stock, research shows a bad cluster going up in flames by itself is not unheard of(but is very rare) on E46's and seeing as the cluster was the first to catch fire, this appears to be the case. I bought this car eight years ago and have put serious time and money into it. Because everything besides the interior is good(engine, trans, drivetrain, diff, suspension, braking system, cooling system, chassis, remaining body panels, under-hood electronics, etc.), low offers will be ignored. If the EWS is taken out of the system the car could be driven anywhere, minus the windows and some missing body panels. You're getting more of a damaged road car prepped for the track than a parts-car here. This would make a perfect racecar build to start from or would be perfect for someone who needs a spare car for parts. Buyer is responsible for pickup, located in Fairfax, VA.
