I have done all the work for this car, only minor things to be addressed. Do yourself a favor, don't buy a project M3. It will cost you way more to rebuild everything (as I found out for myself). Just buy one in awesome condition already. Some things I've done:-Rebuilt/Resurfaced engine (only 6000 miles since then) -powersteering pump and hoses-alternator-coolant reservoir-radiator-K&N cold air-idler pulley-plugs-oil filter housing gasket-window regulators-new leather on vader seats-head liner-suspension-x brace-eibach sway bars-headlights-fog lights-tail lights-fan clutch-sunroof track-hood struts and clips-new tires-front brake rotors and padsThings needed to be addressed:-a/c compressor- it works, but I disconnected it because bearing is worn-clutch and shifter- I bought brand new UUC lightweight clutch/ pressure plate ($1000) and an auto solutions short shift w/ OEM m3 knob (almost $600). Just have to be installed!I guarantee you are getting your money's worth. Save yourself all the pain I already went through.
