Here it is folks, the iconic BMW E30 M3 that started it all. Bewinged and with blistered arches, these truly look as outrageous today as they did when new. There’s been thousands of articles written about them over the years, so if you’re spending your time on eBay looking for one, you’re obviously in the know, and even more importantly, these are appreciating in value daily. I spent 2 years looking for the right car for me. A car that could be enjoyed while performing a rolling restoration with no deadlines, and could be budgeted for over time. Not everyone has enough cash laying around for a full blown rotisserie restoration, myself included. This is an original California car owned by one family for most of its life, and bounced between father, son and brother. If my memory serves me right it’s only been in Texas for about 3 years and the last 18 months has been in my posession. This is an honest M3 that was driven and enjoyed. For its age it’s in pretty remarkable condition and a blank slate to keep stock, mod or build a track monster. You’re only limited by your imagination and your budget. Firstly, this car has never been wrecked and all original VIN tags are in place including the one on the original, unmolested S14 motor. I’ve addressed the leaks by rebuilding the oil cooler bypass valve, replaced the power steering hoses and reservoir, and replaced the OEM radiatior with a Mishimoto aluminum unit. The car has the correct BBS 15” wheels with new center caps and matching spare. I installed new Euro grills, kidneys, scuttle vents, floormats and wiper arms. Apart from the radiator, this car is as delivered from the dealership. I have a cover for it, authentic BMW shop manuals and a file full of history. This car is now 25 years old and excempt from emissions testing in Texas, however, the last test it had passed with flying colors and the tech was stunned. The good: It’s a rare E30 M3!!! Only 5,000 came to the US and most have been wrecked, modified, tracked, abused or canibalized. A used S14 is practically worth its weight in gold. The car is complete, the dash has no cracks, the original radio is still installed, and it’s wearing all of it’s original body panels. The windows go up and down, the A/C is there and needs a recharge, the headliner, seats and carpet are still presentable but could use a redye, the guages and computer work and there are no illuminated warning lights. The alternator bushings have been replaced and so have the belts. All systems are go. The not so good: It’s a 25 year old car and could benefit from a respray. The PO told me the car was parked for a while under a cover and some of the roof paint looks chalky. There are areas where the clear is peeling and there are some chips and dings in the hood. There would be minimal prep involved as the car is pretty straight. The RR marker light is inside the bumper cover and I haven’t been able to fish it out. The OEM radio, amp and speakers are all there, but the amp is disconnected due to hissing. I had the windshield replaced by someone unfamiliar with bonded windscreens and he had a hell of a time. The windshield will need to be removed again to address a common problem on E30’s…. blocked windshield channel drains which causes corrosion under the glass bead. The area was wire wheeled and treated before the winshield went back in. Patch panels for the E30 scuttle are available from ECS tuning for under $100. There is no other corrosion on the car. The heater is bypassed due to a leaking valve. The PO had one on back order for months and it never arrived. These cars are noisy by nature and there are some exhaust leaks. All in all this is a great opportunity for an enthusiast to get their hands on a rare, unmodified, all orginal E30 M3 before the market prices all except for the uber rich out of this iconic car for good. Buy it, park it, do nothing and sell it it 2 years for a profit! I have a 4 post lift at my house and PPI’s are welcome by appointment. Transportation is the sole responsibility of the lucky bidder. $1,000 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours. Balance in cash or wire only within 7 days. Buyer will have additional 7 days to remove the vehicle from my property once the funds have cleared my bank. Offered as-is, where is with no warranty. Clear blue title in hand. Lastly, why I am selling? I am starting my own company and need seed capital. Oil and Gas prices took my job so I am selling a couple of cars. The Fern Green 99 E36 M3 on eBay is mine too, hopefully to be someone elses real soon. Please feel free to email me with any questions and thanks for looking. Steve
