Mechanic's special: 2002 BMW E39 M5 - Needs engine work.Will sell to highest bidder - $500 non refundable deposit required at auction close. Only 64K miles! Very clean, low mileage car, excellent examples sell for $20-25k.. fix up this beauty for a fraction of the price! Salvage title, (Florida - states flood/Water reason for insurance total loss). I believe the engine took in some water through a cracked airbox and blew the headgaskets. Motor turns over freely with starter, no rust or evidence of flooding in the car. All electrics functional, Clutch & 6 speed manual transmission shift smoothly, engine cranks & turns freely, spark plugs removed for pressure test:Cyl 2 & 6 (no pressure).light front passenger side fender damage was repaired badly, ideally needs a replacement fender. (these are same as a regular 5-series, so nothing special here). Also, small cracks in fr. bumper (can be repaired or replaced). Immaculate Lux interior package, with extended leather everywhere, inc Dash top, instrument surrounds & seat backs! Alcantara head liner, widescreen Nav stereo, cold climate package, fully electric & heated seats etc.. All mint condition. Stereo screen functions but is missing Mk3 Alpine computer & DSP amp from trunk compartment to work. (All wiring is there). 18" M-Parallel wheels with 4 good tires on car (Original M5 wheels not included). 2 Original keys + valet key included, inspections welcome prior to auction close..
